STAY COMPLETELY OUT OF THE SUN & TANNING BEDS YOUR ENTIRE LIFE. sorry to be broken record, but it IS so true!plus, pale is IN. it has been for a few yrs. (they're just hyping all the 'new and improved' self-tanners to make money for them.... and take it from us.)by now, it must be beyond obvious that i'm highly opinionated, but i still don't get why so many think they only look 'healthy' when they're tan, and the darker the better. perhaps(?), just as in the thinness craze, it's the media's influence and pressure, more than anything else. i hold the media wholly responsible for many, many deaths re: both issues.
from 2 secs. to 5 mins. good genes; no sunbathing since birth = 55 yrs.
this year, a hair salon manager burned off my (worn most of past 17 yrs.) past shoulders to longer 'spiral' perm. oh, it didn't fall off/ out immediately; just found more clumps in my hand daily. got so angry, as hair was completely dead(i was later told), decided to go whole hog & die platinum. tremendous improvement - burgundy & platinum my best hair colors. i can also do 'glazed fire'/ surprised i can go this close to a true wild red. I really LOVE being a fairly fair 'cool.' wouldn't change my coloring for anything...except it's impossible to look exotic, as my mother did (looked exactly like lena horne & was same age.) mom was a darker cool, so all colors that looked good on her, makeup to clothing - do on me - easy! - i just go several to many shades lighter.
natalie wood. i don't see it, but everyone else, women & men alike, do. just told again this month; been going on for 35 yrs. also, was asked for lee remick's autograph when i was 16. made no sense, as lee would have been 35+, but, at least, this one i can see. finally, mix in a tad of genevieve bujold, and stevie nicks, stir VERY well, and you have me.
