I use and old mascara wand to break up the clumps in my eyelashses. I usually like to goop it on and then brush through my mascara with an old mascara wand that is clean. it seperates the lashes nicely and eliminates all of the extra gunk that can fall in your eyes later in the day and makes your eyes itchy
My Routine:
Depends. If I'm fixing my hair or just blow drying it. If I'm just blow drying it. 1hour I'm lucky i can blow dry my hair and it is usually pretty straigh almost as if I had used a straitening iron. If I want a little more bounce or added sleekness 1.5 hours
My Horror Story:
Let me preface this by saying My mother worked 12hrs a day, and My father away from home (saw him like 3-4 times a year) from the age of 11-16. Yeah that time period when every girl needs her mother to tell her, "Dont do that... really" Anyway, she did the best she could. Also I sucked, REALLY SUCKED, at being a girl. I played basketball, had nothing but guys as friends, stereo-typical tom-boy. My mother MADE me where make-up. LOL. So to help in my education in make-up application my mother bought me the Donna Mills "The Eyes Have it" instructional video. For the most part it was actually good. BUT, I was in High School during the mid-90's. Ms. Mills Techniques came from the 80s :-S And some of them included using baby powder to set your foundation & smudging your BLACK eyeliner under your eye. I didnt quite have this skill down at first and would do my make-up on the school bus. One of my class mates (male mind you) would aptly point out that I looked like a raccoon. GEE THANKS! :-D
My Celebrity Look-a-like:
a brunette Alicia Silverstone (dont get that one) a young Reese Witherspoon (dont get that one ) Leah Remini (I can get that one when I'm Tan).
I like waterproof eyeliners in general and especially black eyeliner. I found that even if all I have is black eyeliner, mascara and lipgloss I can actually face the world without having to completely hide myface. However without it, it seems like I have no face. Granted I look stupid with eyeliner on and no mascara and lifeless with mascara but no eyeliner, so I had to pick one and since I like the Lancome waterproof version b/c it doesnt leave me looking like a raccoon at the end of the day and it looks great with ANY mascara (though I prefer Fatale by Lancome as well) and I like the little smudgy tool at the end. No more Q-tips! ;-)
I'm not exactly sure what it is about this stuff, but I'm acne prone. For some reason at 29 i started getting explosions on my face (ie worse than breakouts) That would take forever to heal. I used the standard Benzoyl-peroxide stuff and it dried my hands and face up so bad! I started using this and it actually clearned my skin up considerably. I added St. Ives acne prone face cleanser and HELLO clear skin!
I know I know this is a beauty website, but let's face it. You can have all the make up you want on but if your hair is dirty, you stink, and you have "Butter" on you teeth, guess what girls, you're nasty. My mother used to joke that I was going to get cancer from all the deoderant I wore when in high school. Okay so I over came that obession, sort of... I carry a travel size version of the following: deoderant, Toothpaste, toothbrush, floss, soap, shampoo, conditioner, & Shout or Oxy Wipes everywhere I go. Cleanliness is the first part of beauty, and If I am not able to be clean, I better be camping SOMEWHERE and pretty lit, shatter-canned, twisted, or hungover. STINKING SUCKS!
