Nothing wakes my eyes up like a good primer. Currently I am ALL about Jane Irdale's primer in Lemon. I use it as an eyeshadow - applied to the entire lid and the inner corner. Makes eyes pop, intensifies the color and gives a real retro glam look. It always gets a ton of attention.
My Routine:
I break it up. Skin care at home, makeup when I get to the office. Total time is probably 30 minutes.
My Horror Story:
Applying makeup in an airport on my way to meet guy. Had grabbed a nasty old dried up mascara. Nothing makes a great first impression like Tammy Fae eyes!
Used to be Superfill Speed Plump mask, but it's discontinued! This one has always been a virtual tie (and let's hope the curse doesn't carry over and I loose this one as well!) This is like THE most amazing primer/moisturizer/smoother I've ever found. Loaded with hyarlonic acid and just a touch of silicone. Leaves skin super moist and dewy - yet no greasy feel or oily shine. And I SWEAR it makes lines disappear! I do not wear foundation. And with this stuff I never feel like I need to.
The name alone keeps me sane! Add to that great retro colors, the vibrating, tingly plumping feeling of Superfill technology and a YUMMY chocolate flavor and you have the coolest lipwear most people have never heard of. Soap & Glory is created by one of the founders of Bliss, but it's a far more affordable line. It's available at Target. All the products boast 40s-50s glam pics and tragically hip pun-erific names and slogans. They have an awesome line of skincare products as well, with an addictive scent that you just KNOW smells like the 50s did - or should have!
