About Me:

I am a part time model, full time mother of 2 wonderful children. I have an obsession with beauty products, shoes, fashion, hot rods, and cats! (I have 5!) =^.^= Because i am a model, I have to keep my skin healthy and fresh, which is hard because of my age and also my adult acne...but through testing different products, i have finally gotten it down and found my miracle products! I also have to change my hair style/color alot...currently i have very dark brown hair w/blonde chunky highlites and red chunks as well,,,so as you can imagine my hair needs special care. Its also naturally curly but I never wear it that way - I wear it straight everyday and YES I use a flat iron almost daily! So i look for the best of the best when it comes to beauty products for hair, bath, skin...because I always have to be ready to go in an instant...looking my best!

My Beauty Secret:

Without great skin, makeup can only do so much. I have oily/combination skin and since I have turned 30+, I started getting adult acne. I tried a ton of products, but the one product i cannot live without is Kate Somerville's ExfoliKate. Since I have been using this product...my acne has disappeared, and my skin is glowing and more balanced! You don't use this product daily, actually you are supposed to use it twice a week...but I tend to use it a bit more ;) I noticed a difference after 1 use, and now when I wake up my skin feels fresh, looks great, and my makeup goes on alot smoother and looks so much better! I can't say enough good things about this product...love it!

My Routine:

Oh boy..I take forever! In a nutshell (a large nutshell!!!): gotta start my day w/a big cup of vanilla chai tea, then shower. Shower I use Tigi Catwalk Shampoo/Conditioner and sometimes Wen by Chaz Dean in Fig (great for shaving!). Get out, dry off, moisturize! OK makeup... : after cleansing, toning, moisturizing skin, I apply Smashbox Photofinish Primer (if I have a photoshoot that day, otherwise I skip this step), then MUFE foundation. Dust face with loose powder by Sephora w/a matte bronzer to give a sunkissed glow but not shimmery. Apply MAC primer for eyes, then choose MAC pigments and apply to eyes. Line eyes with MUFE liner in black kohl and use a smudge brush to blend the liner. Mascara - depends on my mood ;) Then blush - I use either Mac or Sephora (just what i happen to have at the moment). Lips, believe it or not I really like Victoria's Secret very sexy liner and VS lipstick or if I don't use lipstick then I use MAC Lipglass. More chai tea..then off to tackle hair! Usually I let my hair air dry as long as possible, then apply one of my heat protectant sprays and a drop of Biosilk, blow dry w/a flat brush until completely dry, then I flat iron in sections until finished. Finally done...celebrate with more chai tea!

My Horror Story:

Do you remember a product called Sun-In?? Very popular in the late 80's, early 90's? Lets just say I will never forget it!!! My hair is naturally very dark brown, almost black...this stuff gave me blotchy spots of orange, like crayola orange!!! And it dried out my hair in the worst way.
Another story - I had decided to go blonde because I had so many highlites I was almost blonde anyway...and the stylist left the bleach on way too long, not to mention he put bleach on already bleached hair, and melted my hair right off!! I cried for months...I had to buy a fake ponytail to wear to work until my hair started to grow again!

My Celebrity Look-a-like:

My look changes alot - I have been told I look like Tara Reid (when I was blonde and tan), Rose McGowen when I have dark hair and pale skin....but then again someone once told me I look like Phoebe from friends (???) So I really don't know!
