It is important to me to learn, laugh and love. I enjoy playing with other people's dogs in the park, drinking wine on my stoop, reading and cooking, wearing dresses I can twirl in, photography, yoga, film (Sin City, True Romance, Godfather I & II, Juno, The Apartment, A Bronx Tale, La Double Vie De Véronique, Slumdog Millionaire) and music (from 90s grunge and indie rock to r&b, salsa and blues). I'm not a tomboy but I'm definitely not a glittery pink sparkly girly girl, either. I appreciate sophistication, uniqueness and artistry.
I'm a writer--I couldn't imagine doing anything else.

My Beauty Secret:
-Crunchy hair due to a hair product? No problem. With your hands, pull your hair into the motions of making a pony tail, then release it; it gets rid of the crunch.
-Holding a blow dryer on my eyelash curler for 5 seconds before applying it to my eyelashes makes them hold and curl better!
-Don't slouch. You'll attract more men with good posture and you won't get aches!
-I drink A LOT of water (like every chance I get), do at-home chemical peels and practice yoga several times a week.
- I shave my legs with hair conditioner for a silky smooth finish.
-Supplements: A multivitamin, Calcium (w/ vit. D &K), Omega-3s
- I do NOT brush my curly hair; I do not blow it dry and I only comb it in the shower.
-I exfoliate (because I have KP) using at-home chemical peels (summer only) every 2 wks.
- For me the best way to relax is a pedicure and some chocolate
My Horror Story:
When I was 4, I wanted long hair, but because I was so petite and had such a tiny face, my mom had a hair dresser give me a mullet. Thanks Mom.
Three words: Men love this. It's sweet and fresh and sexy--a little bit of spice. A little goes a long way. It is pricey, sure. but it's Chanel. fragrance notes: White Musk, Hyacinth and Citron, Pink Pepper, Jasmine, Fresh Vetiver, Orris Absolute and Amber Patchouli.
Smells wonderful (I can't stop smelling myself after I use this) and it makes my skin super soft. I use this at the end of my shower. Slather it all over and only lightly rinse off--as it is a skin conditioner you shouldn't rinse it all away. I have somewhat dry skin (due to Keratosis Pilaris) and this product makes me so smooth! My only complaint is that it doesn't last more than maybe 10 showers. Under no circumstances are you to leave King of Skin in your shower all the time--the heat and water will make it melt faster. I keep mine in the refrigerator in a metal tin.
I am hopelessly in love with this product. After 20-something years of searching for something that gave me soft, manageable curls, I've found it all in Paul Mitchell's Sculpting Foam. It's tried and true. It's been around since the 80s, and I never knew it, but my mom and two aunts used to use it as well, before the price went up. I don't even care about the price. It's worth my sanity! I don't get frizz, but shiny, soft "romantic" curls. It's better than the average mousse because it conditions really well! It's the only styling product I need and I'll use it until the day I die!
