About Me:

I'm a very family centered person and I come from a large family so I couldn't escape it if I wanted too. My family Is Italian and we carry a large part of that culture with us; food, wine, noise level, etc. I've always been "into" skincare, cosmetics, shoes, clothes, you name it, and I'm the only girl so I was like a bull in a china shop trying to manuver through trying products and seeing what worked for me. I am so grateful for Meg's makeup, not only because Meg is a great name :) (like my own) but it provides that older, cool sister experience I've not had. Shoes, shoes and more shoes are also a major weakness of mine. Recently did a quiz to kill time online and after checking the results, which were a blow to my character and shopping habits, I counted my shoes. Over 300 pairs!!! Needless to say I gave some away, threw some away... and then I bought some new ones, BUT I'm keeping a close eye and won't let it get out of control.

My Beauty Secret:

Besides my daily Monavie (which has done wonders for my skin, hair, inner and outer health) I do a few muscle toning exercises on my face each day. This has helped with my eyelid shape, arch in my eyebrows, my cheekbones, and just a general face lift. I also had cancer as a teenager and I did lose some hair. I try not to worry about my hair as much, but my eyelashes were horrible, and even though they have gotten better I have been wearing individual false eyelashes ever since. I'm using Latisse now and I'll let you know how it goes. Moisturizers are also important!!! I am constantly putting lotion on; body, face, feet, elbows, as well as lips, don't forget to apply a moisturizing chapstick or lipbalm throughout the day. Good genes also help, thanks Mom!

My Routine:

I am a freak about skincare and it blows me away most days when I meet people who don't wash their face unless they are in the shower and thats only body soap... How can they do that? Makeup routine day to day involves, base, concealer, shading, blush, shimmer, eyeshadow, liner, eyebrows, and mascara, as well as any eyelashes that have fallen off. Hair comes after makeup, and since it is so dry it is mostly a matter of maintaining frizz and adding body. When I'm going out the colors are usually darker and I take more time. I like to get ready and take my time, I hate being rushed! 1 - 2 hours... Of course wine is involved in every step of the process, Mama raised me right

My Horror Story:

There are so many. Most of them are hindsight. I always thought I was smoking when I cut my hair like that, or wore that spandex shirt. Looking back... not so much.

My Celebrity Look-a-like:

I'm a blond and before I went to the dark side I was told Britney Spears or Leann Rimes. Now I hear Katherine McPhee but I don't see it

Latisse

My eyelashes have been an almost constant force of insecurity for me for quite a few years now. I'm almost through the 1st month of using Latisse. If I can figure out how to write a review, or chronicle my progress over the months I am using it I will be sure to do that for anyone who is interested in using it in the future. I can say that I'm jsut past 4 weeks of use and I have noticed a difference already. While I don't think I'm supposed to, I'm still wearing my false eyelashes, since I have almost none, and applying it around them. I'm very excited to share this with anyone if they would like.

Laura Hutton All Inclusive Disc

My mom sent me this over a year ago, along with the book with instructions. The disc has each color and creme concealer labeled in the disc by color, that corresponds to the brushes also included, more to tell you what area of your face it should be used for. Now Laura Hutton is a supermodel and is naturally beautiful, but she is also a huge advocate for many organizations, mostly in Africa. When she spends her time there she wears very little makeup (as if she needs it) and doesn't carry her vanity so everything she really needs is contained in this compact. More than really raving about the products she sells, I am more enamored with the education I got from reading the instructions and using it to suit me.
