I am a makeup/skin care/projuct junkie. I have spent the last year and a half renovating a 100 year old house. I just moved in and myfavorite room is my shoe/make-up room, which holds shelves for my shoes and a make-up table with storage space for all my products. It is a pretty little room painted taupe with magenta curtains and pin-up girl art on the walls. It is my dream come true.
Other than makeup I like playing with my two dogs, walking, bikeriding, and working on my house. For someone who owns over 100 eyeshadows, I am very handy with powertools.
I am an occupational therapist in an intensive care unit. I love my job. I work with critically ill patients and help to them begin their physical rehabiliation, which will help them regain independence after severe illness and injuries.

My Routine:
This is my daily routine. My going out routine obviously takes longer and involves alot more eye makeup.
AM-25 minutea
1. Wash face with Philosophy microdelivery exfoliator in the shower.
2. Put in contacts.
3. Moisturize with Philosophy Hope in a Jar and hope in a tube in eye area and brush teeth while allowing time to absorb.
4. Layer of Monistat anti-chafing lotion as primer.
5. 1 layer of EDM pick me up pickpink with kabuki to cover redness.
6. 1-2 layers EDM multitasking neutral matte foundation with flat top brush.
7. Spend too long choosing blush color....then apply with skunk brush or angled blush brush depending on shade.
8. Lipstick...again long time making a decision.
(steps 9-10 are dependent on how late I overslept....alot of days I just skip to step 10)
9. Line eyes with eyeline pencil. Then use smudge brush to soften line. Use smudge brush to line bottom lashes with what is left after smudging top lashes.
10. Apply 1-3 eyeshadows. Typically I do the standard lid/crease/highlight. But I will do a single color if I am in a hurry. Blend blend blend.
11. l'oreal double extend beauty tube mascara. (This stuff is AMAZING).
12. Mouse hair.
13 Blow dry.
14. Smoothing serum.
PM routine
1. Wash with Philosophy Purity made simple.
2. Panoxyl 10% benzyl peroxide all over face and chin.
My Horror Story:
I have read online about making homemade makeup setting spray using glycerine and water. I didn't really pay much attention to the ration of water to glycerine. So it was a hot summer day and I had a date that would be mostly spend outdoors in to 90+ degree heat. So I decided to whip up a batch of finishing spray to make my make up last. I added way to much glycerine. While I was driving to meet my date, in my air conditioned car, I looked in the mirror and I was more oily looking than I have been since probably 9th grade. I spent several hour out in the hot sun and my face felt and looked disgusting, like an oil spill. I have never touched the glycerine again, even though I know it might work if I dilute it some more. It was actually a fun date otherwise.
This is a light pink powder. I don't know how, but it magically erases redness. I put this on before foundation and it gives my skin an even tone and brightness. Love it!
This is the perfect red lipstick for me. It is a pin-up girl red that can be worn day or night. I feel fabulously scandalous when I wear this during the day. It definately makes a statement. I love it with a neutral eye and lots of black eyeliner. A very classic look.
