My Beauty Secret:
If I have over done it with a drying mousse in an attempt to add volume to my thin, limp, oily hair, a tiny bit of Burt's Bees Avocado Butter works wonders to give texture and soften the ends and fix my mistakes.
My Routine:
For a big night out at least 2 hours. This includes a hot bath, hotter shower, wine, hair, makeup and outfit decisions take time. :)
My Horror Story:
Black eyeliner used as lip liner, with lavender lipstick, in college.
I have used this stuff for years and never get tired of it. It smells absolutely divine and doesn't weigh down my fine, limp, often oily hair. It is lush, but inexpensive and a little goes a long way. I generally leave it in for about a minute or two, but if I need deep conditioning, five minutes or more is fine.As a bonus, this works wonderfully as a shaving cream for dry sensitive skin.
I have oily, acne prone skin and this gives me the moisture I need and a smooth base for mineral makeup, without making my skin feel greasy. The smell takes some getting used to, but it fades quickly. And even with alph hydroxy benefits, it never stings or makes me red.
I love this soap. It doesn't tingle as much as the peppermint version, but makes me feel clean and smooth without drying. Most of my skin is oily but I have a large tattoo on my lower leg that gets very sensitive and this soap never bothers me. It lathers up great for shaving, can do double duty in a pinch as shampoo, and is fine for the environment. Plus I can wash a cat or ferret or cage or car or laundry with it.Great stuff. Smells yummy too.
