I believe I'm a daring girl, I may have small monolid Asian eyes, but oh boy do I find a way to smoke them! Most people see me as a nice and quiet person because of my small and subtle features, but I think quite differently about myself. I am either uncomfortable being myself in fears that no one will understand my humour, or humble at all the stares coming my way, be them in admiration or disdain. But how I see myself is always clear to me: LOUD. (although most people are right about something; I do try to squeeze myself in as subtle, don't want to step on any toes if you know what I mean)

My Routine:
typically 45mins-1hr. First I shower to get that refreshed feeling. I get out and wrap my hair in a towel. Then I go on and moisturize my face and put on my foundation. By the time I'm done with that, my hair is reasonable damp, apply products to hair and then round brush it dry (that's what I spend most of my time on). Afterwards I continue with my make-up, eyeshadow, blush, and lipstick, if any. Then it's off to the closet.
My Horror Story:
My junior prom in high school. I was going to wear a beautiful dark navy gown, and by this time I had gotten my hair done with the rest of my girlfriends and we were off to clinque to get our make-up done. I have the Asian monolid eyes, and the lady working with me had NO idea how to work with them. She went with a one color approach, navy blue (to match the dress), but instead of putting it on subtly, she just put it on top of my lids and ta-da, was done. No blending, no highlight, just navy blue, it looked like I had two black eyes. Oh don't worry, I didn't wear my racoon mask to prom.
My mother is very devoted to the Clinique brand and introduced me to this product a few years ago. Since then, I've used their Soft-Pressed Powder Blusher for my every day wear. I usually wear the mocha pink color, the shade is a bit darker than the display photo (I couldn't find a mocha pink one). I wear the mocha pink because the shade does a really good job at complimenting my skin tone. It isn't too bright or dark, it just gives me a nice flush of color. Blush is a definite must have for me because, rather than being a light skinned Asian, I'm more pale than light, and without blush, I look yellow and sickly, definitely not what I want. The powder itself is very soft-pressed like the name suggest, just a couple swipes and your good to go.
