French green clay masks. They even out your skin tone and absorb excess oil, which makes them GREAT for acne-prone skin. Buy as a powder at your local health food store, and mix with a TINY amount of water to create a paste. Apply to a damp, but unwashed face (it's THAT strong) and allow the mask to dry. Wipe off with a hot washcloth and apply oil-free moisturizer!
My Routine:
Eh- twenty minutes or so. It depends on how my skin is behaving and what I'm wearing.
My Horror Story:
The night before my 16th birthday party, I put on acne-clearing astringent (after washing my face) and an acne cream, and then went to bed. I woke up looking like a tomato- I'd been burned by the chemicals in the products!
My Celebrity Look-a-like:
I don't think I look like anybody... this whole dark Irish thing makes me pretty unique. I mean, growing up I had Shirley Temple curls, but that's about the extent of it.
My best friend and I found these little tubes of magic a few years ago, and fell in love. I use tint number 1136, but I think they're no longer selling it, (just like my favorite fragrance, uurgh!) but the Violet Mint color looks pretty similar to what I have. Anyway, this lip gloss is unlike any other I've tried. It's a "sticky free," slightly shimmery gloss that has a VERY flattering shade- it's sheer enough to use with any skin tone, and moisturizes like you wouldn't believe. It smells minty, very pleasantly tingles the slightest bit, and tastes a little like chocolate. It truly is the PERFECT lip product.
What truly defines a beauty product? Is it something that gives you a boost on the outside, or is it something that makes you really happy- to the point where it shows through on the outside? Now I know many of you are thinking of things that make you happy inside and out (Chocolate for example.. among other things... :P) But let me bring your wandering mind back for just a little longer. Gilmore Girls follows Lorelai Gilmore and her daughter Rory as they navigate the rough seas of their reality. There's romance and drama, quick and witty dialogue, an astounding number of pop culture references, and an appreciation for good movies (and coffee!) that's pretty hard to beat. Unfortunately, the show ended (prematurely, I think) after seven seasons, but the girls live on in our hearts, minds, and through our DVD players. :)
