I'm a product junkie who loves to try new things - both in the beauty world & world in general! Often, people think I'm prissy because I love fashion, makeup, painting my nails & reading Cosmo so much. But then they see me drink half a bottle of Jack, hike up a hill, play in the mud & jump off a cliff into a lake and their perception changes. Thank God!
Some new news! I'm happy to say I'm now a mark. cosmetics representative. After trying these products for myself, I couldn't wait to share them with the rest of the world. Soon, I'll be posting mark. product reviews and updating my fave products on Meg's. If you'd like to check out my sites, here are the links for ya...

My Beauty Secret:
Queen Helene Mint Jeulep Masque is a great leave-on spot treatment for blemishes. It reduces breakout and redness when left on over night. Toilet Seat Covers. Ok that's probably the most bizarre thing written in the 'best beauty tips' section! But, in a pinch, if you are one of those people with ultra-oily skin and run out of blotting papers... those little toilet seat protectors in the ladie's room are AMAZING for soaking up excess shine without disturbing foundation. And don't laugh too hard, I recently heard that it's even a star secret - Sarah Jessica Parker uses this beauty secret too!
My Routine:
To really get glam?...2 hours from the minute I step foot in the shower to the point where the last piece of hair on my head is texture-waxed into place. And then, a glass or four of wine to celebrate the finished product :)
My Horror Story:
The 6th grade - using Wet & Wild Concealer on picture day, in a hideous pale color that looked like wax stacked on top of every pre-pubescent blemish. And to top it all off, my mom had given my shoulder-length hair an at-home perm two days before! I looked like a possessed clown in my picture. And yes, I did burn the pictures.
My Celebrity Look-a-like:
I know there've been a few..but I can't remember. Will have to update when I do. Ok, updating... my Halloween costume this year was Dr. Lisa Cutty's character from the TV show House. After curling my hair & dressing in a snug skirt & pumps, people said I did a great job of looking like her.
I have one major nemesis that interrupts my beauty routine: Acne. This little product has been my saving grace! You know how there are so many over the counter acne gels that contain very small amounts of salicylic acid - but never seem to be quite strong enough to zap that zit quickly? Well, with Boost Powder, you can add more Salicylic Acid to any facial product including acne gel or cream, face masques, or moisturizer. It greatly increases the effectiveness of the product and gets rid of acne in half the time. Here is what the Queen Bee Website has to say about this lovely product: "This is the equivalent of Scrubbing Bubbles for your face. I can almost see the little guys sloughing my dead cells. You might want to keep this as your private secret to great skin. This skin scouring powder can be added to your regular cleansing routine. You will find very small quantities of saliclyic acid fancy cleansers, aftershave gels, and moisturizers. We allow you to apply it to the skin and remove it so you control the amount of "Boost" that works for your skin."My suggestion: First time users, (because product can be drying) just use a small dusting of the powder & mix with your chosen product. After you've used the product a few times, you can judge how much you need to use to keep acne at bay. Also, apply at the very first sign of a breakout, and dot a small amount in the VERY CENTER of the breakout. Don't extend over the edges of the breakout, as a small amount of skin peeling will occur. To purchase, go to www.queenbeesauce.comI hope many more people can benefit from the wonders of this product! Thanks Queen Bee!
I have super oily skin, and as a result, my foundation and eyeliner literally disappear after only a few hours. Model in a bottle is the only thing I've ever found that keeps makeup in place for hours! Do you know how inconvenient it is to have to re-apply foundation and eyeliner on lunch break to get through the rest of the day without looking like I never applied makeup in the first place! It's a nightmare! After trying tons of foundation primers that promise to give foundation a long-lasting base, I'd almost given up. Then I thought
I was so glad to see this was one of Meg's featured products a few months back! I probably never would've stumbled upon this life changing... er, hair-changing product if it wasn't for that. I must say I agree with the creator's philosophy (Jonathan Antin): "The way we feel about ourselves on any given day is connected to how we feel about our hair." If there is someone out there who can't relate to that statement, they must not be human! Well on to my review of this fabulous product! In short, it transforms my dry, color-treated, frizzy hair into silky luxurious strands. Before discovering it, I would spend every morning battling with a straightening iron after blow-drying my hair, only to have the end result look like straw. I really don't know what possessed me to buy it, considering the fairly steep price tag & the fact that every other hair product I've purchased in the texturizing/glossing family has been a huge disappointment. Perhaps one convincing feature was the product name itself. Silky Dirt, with it's claims to give hair that 'day-after being washed" look, was a huge draw for me because every day after washing & drying, my hair turns into a frizz-ball. Although I can rarely go more than 1 day without washing (because my tresses would be an unruly, unstylable mess!), this product gives the illusion of perfect hair that has gone one day without the harshness of shampoo and heat styling. My hair styling routine in the morning has now been cut down to two steps. 1: Blow-dry and 2: Add Silky Dirt. End of story. Yay! My previous prescription for shiny healthy looking hair was this: use a heat-protective spray, blow dry, add more protective heat spray, straighten, then add shine serum and hairspray. I now have decided to no longer fight the natural wave of my hair. Before Silky Dirt, that wasn't even an option
