I think Chanel nail polishes are good.  However, I am not sure that they are SUPERIOR to what they use in the salons.  I think you can buy at least 3 nail salon polishes for one Chanel.

Chanel polishes are more expensive, but in my experience they are the thickest and longest lasting.  Whenever I go to get a mani/pedi, I just take my own bottle of Chanel polish and the techs always comment on how rich the colors are and what quality the product is.  If Chanel is not in your budget, I would recommend OPI.  Also good quality and only about $9.00 a bottle.
