| About Me: |
I am more of a city girl. I love cities such as New York, Boston, Italy, Paris. I love the country as well, but the only place I'm not too fond of is the city I live in. That would be Las Vegas. It's okay to visit for a couple of days, but to live here as long as I have, has definitely made me make plans to move. I have 4-5 places in mind and I will move within 2 years max. I want to live in an area that makes me happy when I wake up in the morning to go to work and full of energy to see the beauty surrounding me. So there will be that, plus lots of excitement as well. I love art, music, reading, academia, fashion, designing, photography, the out doors, working out, mainly yoga & pilates. Plus many, many other things. I love animals and I have a great empathy for animals and people who cannot fend for themselves, such as the elderly and children. God help the souls of the people I find trying to hurt any of the aforementioned. That will bring the beast out in me. My father taught me one thing, empathy and to never take unnecessary crap off of anyone. I think it was a smart thing to teach me. If others like it here, that's of course their prerogative, but I'm the kind of person that needs to be near a beautiful beach with a sunset. I'm a water person. The hit we've taken from the economy is really awful. We're the highest in the nation for unemployment. Well I have good plans though because I've pretty much had to recreate my whole life because of this. The main thing this has done is teach me that I am saving money like crazy for any type of emergency. It's difficult because I love to shop. I'm back in college for Interior Design. I've loved designing from clothes to furniture, you name it. I decided I wanted to do something that I really loved and this was it. Looking at what the recession proof careers are, this definitely wasn't one of them. As time went on and we've discussed this at length in classes, they stated there's more to do than design in this particular field. There's consulting, of course the obvious, design, decor, there's actually quite a few things that you can do. Learning Autocad has been a great challenge because this is for Architecture and this helps in the field I want to get into because the more you know the better. I love makeup and perfumes. I could spend hours at Sephora or any department store or drug store just testing new products or buying them. They're fantastic. I love getting spa treatments. One thing I especially love are massages and especially neck and head massages. I spend so much time on the computer that there is so much stress there it makes me insane. But once it's take care of..all is well. Anyway, I love traveling and hope to travel a great deal in the states and Europe. I was there as a child and now it's time I go back and enjoy all the gorgeous cultures! |

| My Celebrity Look-a-like: |
SOME HAVE TOLD ME MADONNA, OTHERS GOLDIE HAWN WHEN I HIGHTLIGHT MY HAIR A MUCH BLONDER SHADE. THEN THEY TELL ME NOW ALEXA JOEL, IF I LET MY HAIR GO DARK, MY NATURAL COLOR. RIGHT NOW I HAVE LOW LIGHTS AND HIGH LIGHTS AND IT LOOKS DARKER. I PREFER THE LIGHTER COLOR THOUGH. IT'S GREAT. MY HAIRDRESSER WAS ASKING ME TO DO A HAIR SHOW FOR HER AND ADD EXTENSIONS AND I DECLINED. I HATE THOSE THINGS IN MY HAIR. I'VE HAD IT DONE ONCE AND IT WAS SO HARD TO GET OUT IT WAS A MESS. TOOK 6 HOURS FOR THEM TO STITCH IT IN. THERE ARE SO MANY WAYS TO DO IT. IT WASN'T WORTH IT. IT RUINES YOUR NATURAL HAIR. SO TOLD HER NO THANK YOU. THE UPKEEP ALONE IS RIDICULOUS. FANTASTIC IF IT WORKS FOR OTHER PEOPLE, BECAUSE I DO KNOW ALOT OF WOMEN THAT HAVE IT DONE. BUT I COULDN'T STAND HAVING TO GO TO THE HAIRDRESSER EVERY MONTH TO GET THEM TIGHTENED OR REDONE OR WHATNOT.. IT'S WAY TOO MUCH UPKEEP. HAIR COLOR ALONE, AS SOLANGE KNOWLES HAS STATED IS A MAJOR COMMITMENT TO HAVE SUCH DRASTIC CHANGES IN YOUR HAIR. SO THINK HARD BEFORE YOU TAKE THAT STEP. IT'S A GREAT DEAL OF MONEY AND A GREAT DEAL OF TIME. 6 HOURS, I BELIEVE WHEN I FIRST AND LAST TRIED IT. |
