Sooooo....what are you wearing for Spring???
I'm curenntly in love with "Tea Rose" by the Perfumer's Workshop circa 1970 something,LOL! Nicole Kidman also wears it,it's like $15.00 if you can find it...lush and light and rosey in a "not your Granny's scent" way,I'm getting TONS of compliments! Big-ass bottle,I'll use it with abandon then move on...I like to find esoteric and cool scents to experiment with...lusting about the "Rock and Rose" and "Flower Bomb" scents and will probably get my Mom one for Mom's Day.If you truly want to go insane reading about THE most incredible scents out there (including my much-loved "Black Gardenia") go here:http://www.luckyscent.com/Their "samplers" are a good deal and yes, there are some of the most rare, expensive, and funky scents in the world on this site! MANY are available as a sample though!!!

I have an order in for avon percieve as its supposed to be light and spring like ,Ilike the sound of flora by gucci,I read the blurb and its suppossed to smellof rose, osmankus and peony topnotes with warmer base notes of sandlewood and patchouli so should work well from day into evening.

I'm a huge "Burberry Summer" fan. It's not too strong, I'm very sensitive to perfumes and this is just right for me. It's a very nice scent fo the summer, light and fresh.... I LOVE IT!
Laura Mercier Neroli has my favorite scent as a topnote - Orange Blossoms. Perfect for spring and summer.
I collect vintage perfumes. Among my favorites are Chanel perfumes made before the late 80's. I think that they changed something in the production of some scents and I've found these older bottles just smell better. Especially when it comes to my all time favorite, Coco. I also have some sample Chanel bottles of full strength perfume from someone who used to work for the company in the 40's and 50's. These are marked only with the number of the formula. On the bottom of the bottles they have labels: one is marked #42 the other is #144. These were created by the perfumer and not selected for mass production. For some reason I, also love a lot of perfumes that were released in the 90's as well. I've spent a long time trying to obtain a bottle of discontinued Donna Karan Chaos. This was a favorite scent of mine, and apparently a lot of other people's too. They re-released the scent around this past Christmas and I got a bottle under the tree. It's not quite the same, doesn't last as long and comes in a nondescript bottle, whereas the original bottle was a stunning asymmetrical crystal sculpture. What a shame. Bottles of the old stuff go for around $300 on Ebay. I am quite literally obsessed with perfume and wear it entirely for myself. I have about one hundred bottles and I wear a different one each day. I love to find a perfume that I've worn at another time in my life and buy it again. It instantly transports me back to that time. Chloe Narcisse does this especially well for me. Next on my list of old scents to acquire is Dior's Dune. Sometimes I go on a collecting spree and buy a few in a row. Sometimes I let the obsession go dormant and don't acquire any for a couple months. Everyday when I pick out which scent to experience for the day I enjoy my collection all over again!
Indi
Wow, Indi! You'll have to post some pictures of your collection- I'd love to see some of those gorgeous bottles.I haven't really picked a spring fragrance yet, but I've been leaning heavily on Shiseido's Zen since I got it (the review is forthcoming). It's totally gorge. I've also been flipping between Sarah Horowitz's Perfect Gardenia, Bath and Body Works' Rainkissed Leaves, Burberry Brit Sheer (which I got a sample of from Sephora and I'm not sure if I'm feeling it just yet), Pucci Vivara (which I am just WAITING to save up enough to buy a full-size bottle of!), Meg's Perfume, and Theme's Love Letter. I may check out Flowerbomb but it seems a little TOO floral for me- maybe for spring nights, but I prefer a mix of green and floral during the day, which is probably why I keep reaching for the Zen. Just wait until summer and I get into my fruity scents.
Ooooohhhh...."Narcisse" is an amazing scent!!!I'm a freak for the stuff too indi and would love to hang with you and your bottles girl!I picked up some "Bellodgia"at Marshalls yesterday for a pittance: carnations all the way and just so sweet you can taste it! :)
I love Lush's Silky Underwear, Stella by Stella McCartney, in the evening Hypnotic Poison. I also like a lot of Camille Beckman's, especially Rozalia, Oriental Spice, Persian Turquoise and Jade Butterfly. She has a new one coming out called Tuscan Honey that sounds wonderful. Her site has very good descriptions of the scents and every one I tried was wonderful. They are very reasonable priced for how long lasting they are.

My new fragrance is Gucci Flora. It has a divine rose scent with a hint of sandalwood, which is perfect for spring. The scent is very light and not too overpowering. I am hoping my seasonal allergies go away soon, so I can actually smell it, though ;)
I love Vera Wang's Princess. It is a somewhat light fruity, floral, chocolate, woodsy, and amber type of a scent. It sounds strong but it really is not. I would like to try the new rock version. Has anyone smelled it yet?
Oooh now I really want to try "Tea Rose" by the Perfumer's Workshop! I love tea scents and rose scents. Right now my summer scent is Flower by Cynthia Rowley (sold by Avon). It smells like spring flowers :) [Okay so my seasons are off]. I also love L'Occitane's Green Tea (The Vert) EDT.

I really like any "tea" scents. I got a Green Tea shower gel sample from L'Occitane, which I have been loving. I might have to give the fragrance a try.
the body sprays from american eagle. They are light, but fragrant enough to smell delicious.
do it, gem!! :) L'Occitane has a mini one that's $17 (instead of $44 for the full sized Green Tea [The Vert]), and it's lasted me a long time.

bluedevilkitty - that is a great price! I love to alternate my fragrances day to day, so the small size will be PERFECT. :)
Hi Gem, I'm so glad I could help! The L'Occitane The Vert (Green Tea) eau de toilette is actually $19 for 0.6 oz, not $17 (the price went up sometime recent I guess!). Just FYI. It's still a good buy in my opinion. :)Here's the link:http://usa.loccitane.com/FO/Catalog/Product.aspx?prod=24ET020TH

I just got some samples from luckyscent.com, I told them what I am looking for and asked if they'd send me some samples in addition to the 2 I ordered, I offered to pay for the add-ons. Guess What? They sent me the 2 samples I paid for, and what Franco called a couple of comp samples, a couple being 6!! Yes, he sent me 6 comp samples. 1 of them I paid for is Black Gardenia, it starts out very Gardenia, very sweet, it dries to a beautiful light smell, you feel very pretty when you wear it. Magnolia Romana is very sweet but nice, L'Eau de L'Artisan smells soapy to me, but not over powering, like a clean fresh smell, La Chasse Aux Papillons very floral but dries to a light floral, it is a sweet scent but not sick sweet, Jatamansi is soft and clean it has a smokie smell but very very light it smells like incense too but again, light, The Pour Un Ete is lite and airy very pretty like visiting a open air market, The Taj Mahals Eternal Love is one of my 2 favorites of the group it starts out like washing whites in a ocean run off w/ a bar of scented natural soap then it smells like salt air, sun, lotion and water but theres a smell I can't put a description on but it smells like very nice ,clean, and very different but if you want to be remembered this is your fragrance, The Mistress of Louie XIV reminds me of Marco Pelusi's leave in conditioner it smells a lot like that but it dries to a soft scent, My very very favorite is Black Gardenia but you have to give it a few minutes on your pulse points to settle, it stops smelling so gardenia and smells like a warm softer gardenia w/ a soft sweetness, it is very lovely.
oh my god i love karmala by mark. it is so sexy and sultry! LOVE IT LOVE IT LVOE IT

I've been wearing Viva La Juicy for a few months, now...It's a fruity/floral, which is pretty much what I've found suits me best...Although I really like it, I've kept wearing it daily for as long as I have simply because my boyfriend tells me EVERY DAY how good I smell...if it works for him, it works for me!
I am currently wearing Bath and Body Works body splashes in cherry blossom and moonlight path.
CD-I periodically wear the cherry blossom and moonlight path. They are two of my favorite scents. I always get compliments when I wear them. I must say that you have good taste! My last scent purchase from them was Vanilla Noir. It has really grown on me and I am getting lots of positive feedback on this as well.
Well it's summer now, so I am loving Victoria Secret's Dream Angel Heavenly perfume.
My favourite is Gucci Rush always...
My favorite of the moment is Cannibis Rose by Fresh. I love this, my husband loves it and so many people complement me on it. Although I have a lot of favorites, others in my rotation right now are Maybe Baby by Benefit, Sensous by Estee Lauder, Beautiful Love by EL, LouLou, and Green Tea by Bulgari.
WOW that is a lot of perfume!!
