a natural nail growth product that REALLY works!

  • Makeup Tips, Tricks and All Talk!

My nails are thin, weak, fragile and they break and split with every opportunity.  I detailed my 15 year struggle with my nails on Gigi's Drug Store Deals post of several weeks ago.  I bet that you all love Gigi as much as I do.  Her incredible writing ability is rivaled by her beauty.  Her review of Sally Hansen nail products inspired me to write a post that droned on about my nail woes.  I won't recap my long struggle here; suffice it to say that I have terrible natural nails.  They would never grow strong regardless of what nail treatment I tried, and I thought I had tried them all.  I had been using Nailtiques for years and even when I was vigilant about daily maintenance it seemed like one or most of nails was always breaking.  Well, apparently I used Nailtiques for so long that it turned my fragile and peeling nails into hard brittle nails that were breaking below the quick, ouch!I was about two days away from giving in and going back to artificial nails to escape the pain and nearly constant maintenance.  I absolutely hated the thought of going back to artificial nail enhancements.  Immediately after the impulse to give in and get them, followed thoughts of the money that could be going into my retirement account and also the sheer hell of the nail recovery that follows the removal of fake nails.  Anyone who's ever taking off fake nails knows what I am talking about.  It takes 6-7 months after the removal for your natural nail to grow out, and until they do it is painful.  So I set about a hard target search for a nail growth product that would work.  The first product I tried was Duri Rejuvacote Nail Growth Formula.  This was a clear coat polish formula, which was used in the same manner as Nailtiques, one coat every day.  Unfortunately, unlike Nailtiques it took a maddeningly long time to dry, and ruined many a manicure while I was just attempting to apply my daily coat.  I gave this product three weeks to show any results at all, and at the end of three weeks my nails were not even slightly improved.  Then I moved on to product number two and little did I know how AMAZED I would be at the results.  The name of this product is Natural Nails Growth Formula and I found it on the website fingernailcare.com http://fingernailcare.com/forum/data/1538.htmlThe website appears to be that of a small boutique business, but DO NOT BE FOOLED, if this product was on the mass market it would drive all other nail treatments out of business.  It works that well.  Natural Nail Growth Formula, or NGF, is utturly astounding.  It coats your nails in a protective coat of lanolin and beeswax so that they grow strong without any tears, breaks or peeling.  It does this by providing your nails with the natural moisture they crave and coats it with a surprisingly effective sheild of lanonin.  The lanolin protects from water like no nail polish I've ever used. The truly incredible aspect of NGF is something else entirely, it speeds actual nail growth as well.  As I've stated, my nails were in poor condition when I started this treatment.  Yet within a week they had growth more than I thought possible and they weren't breaking or peeling at all, I mean not at all.If you are just coming off of the removal of fake nails it may take your nails a bit longer to recover, but I can't imagine any other product working this well to speed your recover.  A true testiment of the effectiveness of this product is the 2500 page archive of testimonials as well as general advice about the care of fingernails.  This website is devoted to helping women embrace their natural nails and forgo the damage done by fakes.   They even recommend wearing no polish for the first month of treatment and thereafter switching to a water-based nail polish thereafter.  I found through their archives a wonderful company that offers such polish, called Honeybee Gardens.  http://www.honeybeegardens.com/product/natural-cosmetics/wcponp.htmlI thought I would hate going without polish, but within two weeks of using the product my nails look so terrific I'm trilled with the way they look without it.  They are a healty vibrant pink, with white moons and white tips.  I would have to say that anyone you values the appearance of their fingernails should absolutely buy this product.  You can buy a months supply for $10.95 plus shipping and handling.  Barbara Wheeler is owner of this formula, and she and her husband run the website itself.  There is a very interesting history behind the formula itself and how she came to own the rights to it.  Barbara provides amazing customer service, including the occaisonal bonus and lovely handwritten notes encouraging your commitment to natural, healthy nails.  As she wrote in my last shipment, "I want your success as much as you do.  Luck is not an issue; you have the formula.  If you continue with this determination your success can be gauenteed."

A quick fact about the cost of artificial nails.  Do you realize that the annual cost of fake nail maintenance, or "fills", is about $700?  Do you realize that this amount, if deposited in a low-risk investment when you began your career, would amount to almost 1 million dollars by retirement ?

I don't have problems with my nails growing and looking healthy, but the link for the water-based polish is a winner! I will have to check that out, as I'm slowly changing my beauty products over to things that are more healthy (less chemicals).

Hi Indi! You are really too, too generous. The product is simple and straight forward. I got reamed on QVC forums for not having done clinical trials and such, but as you aptly pointed out, the clients themselves are a testament to the products actual success. We ARE a "Mom and Pop" business and that too was something unacceptable to most of those ladies on QVC. At any rate, I just wanted to thank you for sending me an email alerting me to your sharing your story with others. Truth is, if you use the product it WILL work, because it does so on a cellular level. If you are not interested in devoting a few minutes a day to recovering your own healthy natural nails, it will behoove you not to waste your monies....... That way you won't be out of money and I won't receive ill reviews for the product not working as stated. I would rather not sell the product at all than to have it sit unused somewhere, and someone be disappointed thinking this was to be instant gratification.... It is not... It is a product that NEEDS TO BE USED TO WORK!That said, if anyone has questions, please feel free to ask. I am not a health care provider, so health issues concerning the natural nails should be addressed with your own health care provider.I learned a bit from my R/D of the product and through information provided through the Mayo Clinic. Just let me hear from you if you wish information not found in our forum archives at fingernailcare.com

Oh and by the way, Melissa at Honey Bee Gardens is fabulous and will assist you with your needs. She is the owner of Honeybee and I strongly urge anyone who wants to take care of their nails as naturally as possible to invest a little time an effort on honeybeegardens.com.

To grow out healthy nails does take quite a while, but it's worth it to not have to worry about artificial nails or fillers.  You pretty much have to make a hobby out of it.  This website sounds great, and I love the Mom & Pop feel.

I think my terribly weak nails made the maintenance more of a part time job than a hobby, and even when I did all of the maintenance they would only stay long for a short time before one broke.  After only one week of using the NFG, my nails were finally all the same length.  The instructions for the NFG say to rub it into the nail, concentrating on the base of the nail bed near the cuticle, for ten minutes twice daily.  By concentrating the formula on the matrix of the nail, it allows the formula to increase cell activity and speed the growth rate of the fingernail. At first I thought that ten minutes of rubbing, morning and night, would seem like a lot of time.  After a couple days I found the process to be very soothing and a terrific way to fill in those gaps in your day, such as sitting in traffic or waiting in line.  It's actually very relaxing and sometimes I'll find my self sitting in front of the tv having done it for much more than ten minutes.  A wonderful side effect is that my cuticles are very healthy.  I never have to push them back or deal with a hangnail.

Indi, thanks so much for posting about this product!  I have the same kind of nails as you do.  I've been using the Sally Hansen stuff that Gigi wrote about and it's helping.  But I do still have some trouble with peeling.  I'm going to order some of the Natural Nails Growth - I am so anxious to try it out.  I appreciate Barbara's comments too.  That's the kind of company I like to do business with.Wish me luck!  I want pretty nails.

It's been about 3 weeks and I'm very happy and anticipating even further improvement.  I never thought I would have healthy nails, but I've been amazed at what the NGF is doing for them.  Not only do they look healthy, pink and white, but they are definitely starting to grow at a more rapid rate.  I will never be without this product.

Thank you so much for posting this, I have advanced liver disease and it really wreaks havoc on my nails!! One month they are super healthy, hard and just unbeatable, then maybe the next month they will be paper thin and peeling, this sounds like the kind of product that might possibly help me, I have to be EXTRA careful when using any kind of chemical on or in my body!!  Thanks again!

I wish they posted an ingredient list. My daughter could use a good product but I can't order a product without knowing what is in it.
