Long Wearing Lipstick

I have worn the Almay,Cover Girl, Mac and tend to switch back and fourth. They all feel the same and I find after a few hours the colour usually tends to come off but more in patches. ( Not a nice look!) lol. So has anyone had any success with any other brands that REALLY stay on all day? Isn't to dry and has great earthy colours? Artcandy

unfortunately, i can be off no help. sorry :(

I have no luck with lipsticks, but Beute' (Bo-tay) has some great products that really work. Here is his web site: http://beaute-cosmetics.com Use the search on this site and look up the reviews we did a while back. On his site, watch how he applies the lip stain and taps in the gloss. It works. These two products (stain and gloss) are the best long lasting I have ever encountered. Don't be shocked by the fluorescent color on the stain. It changes.

Sorry, I've never found a long wearing lipstick that I actually liked... plus, I can't stand they way they make the lips feel dry.
I'm sorry. I don't wear lipstick often, just when I want to make a statement, so I tend to stick to those pow-ey colors (reds and pinks) and only Revlon. Revlon's Super Lustrous lipstick lasts me several hours. I'll put it on in the morning, and I'll only reapply after I eat or drink something.
I am not a big lipstick person. what i found best it I wear a lip gloss but before I put it on I will take a lip linner and outline and then lightly color in my lips. give me a great color and stays on longer. was shocked to try this because I am SOOO not a lip liner person. also with lipgloss I know some are sticky and what not but these seem to work. I like sea breeze and snaps with the nude lip liner (stephanieg.bisoucosmetics.com)

I think there are other factors that need to asessed. For example, I drink a lot of water every day and I try to eat every three hours. These factors of course contribute to the fact that my lipstick does not stay on. In my opinion, there are some great brands such as Dior, BE and others that are great lipstick. However, with my daily schedule they will never stay on all day. I do not think I can really expect them too.You could consider a lip stain. I think they stay on because they literlly stain your lips.
I have personally found that Cover Girl and Max Factor work for me. I use generally use them under other lip makeup, either stick or gloss. The shade by Cover Girl, Naturalast is like my own lip shade, only better. I wear it under other things almost daily (unless I use Urban Decay or The Balm's stains.) The only product that won't work over them is anything by Clinique for some reason. Other than that, they wear, I keep color on all day, even if my top coat fades. And I drink a lot (Water!!!) and smoke. No matter what else I try in the long wearing department, I come back to the Cover Giril Outlast for the most part. Now, having said that, I do really like Sephora's own long lasting lipstick, in the Maniac line. On it's own, that works really well for me.
I find them all to be really drying, but I have had some success with lip stain, over which I apply a gloss for moisture and shine. Even when the gloss is gone, which, let's face it, is probably about 10 minutes, the color stays on for hours.
I use NYX lipsticks (have them in like 40 colors) and they are not super long lasting but they last me long enough. I don't think a long lasting lipstick that isn't drying is in existence yet!!!! Someone fix this!
I haven't found a lipstick that actually is long wearing to be honest, they all end up coming off somehow!I've found the best technique to make lipstick last longer is to apply lipliner, set with translucent powder, apply lipstick, blot, set with translucent powder and then apply lipstick once more. Time consuming but it really works! :)
NARS Velvet Matte pencils are lipstick in a pencil. Has earthy colors. I don't know if they'll stay on ALL day but...definitely until you eat again!

If you're really looking for all day wear, you might want to check out LipSense. It's a semi-permanent lip color that comes with a moisturizing gloss. Based on reviews it really stays put until you actually take it off. I think it also has a special remover. Here are links to online sellers:http://www.temeculalipstick.com/http://theperfectpout.com/
I stand firm with CoverGirl. Sorry it didn't work out for you!
