Do you use lipstick primer? If so, which brands do not dry out your lips. Which brands work the best at being a primer (keeping the lipstick on the lips)? Hopefully we can come up with one or two products that: don't dry and hold color!
I have the ELF lip primer... its the only primer ive used so I cant compare, but I dont reccomend it. It really white and it just washes out all the color in my lipstick, I usually wear nuetral shades. Might work for brighter shades though.
I have the UD lip primer and it does work well to keep your lipstick in place. However, I find it dry - I'm tugging on my lips as I try to drag it across them.Laura Mercier's LipSilk is a good alternative. It feels like a dream going on - like a moisturizer - and it works fairly well. Lips feel great - and I even use it before going to bed and wake up to soft lips.
I love the UD primer. I haven't found it to be drying, but I am an obsessive lip balm applier, so maybe that counteracts it for me. All the UD primers are the best I've ever tried. I don't even waste money trying out new ones anymore.
I have been using the Bare Escentuals brand "Lip Rever-Upper". It's really quite good. At first I thought it was going to be a conditioner that was put on prior to lipstick. But actually it moisturizes, holds the lip color and never ever any drying. It is described as filling in the lines, and it does! Works for me, and I usually get dried out lips just thinking about them.
UD Lipstick Primer! It's really good. I did not find it drying. And I felt that it improved the longevity of the color.Good luck!
I personally don't, but as above I heard UD Lip Primer is pretty good.
