Hungry Girl Website

I am not sure who posted it, or where I even saw it now, but I did see it somewhere on here, whoever posted the Hungry Girl link, I love it!! I have been checking it out since last night and I cant wait to go to the grocery store tomorrow lol I really like how they show you the WW points with all the recipe's too. Loves it!!

My mom just got me an HG cookbook. Haven't made anything from it yet because to be honest most of it just isn't up my alley...I feel like everything has artificial sweetener and/or egg substitute in it, LOL :)
I have one of the cookbooks too, it's great! I love how they are able to take foods we all know and love and cut the fat and calories like crazy! My favorites are the guacamole and the mashed potatoes! They are so good, lemme know if you want the recipes-they are super easy!
I really like Hungry Girl :) I don't really like to cook though, haha! But I like it when HG has healthy alternatives--for example, there's a low fat peanut butter powder that I'm dying to try!

I am planning on getting the HG cookbook tomorrow. I saw some peanut butter cookies on the website I am wanting to try. Actually there were quite a few things on the website I found that I want to try lol

oh my goodness! I just googled Hungry Girl and those recipes look so tasty! Thanks for the info, I am going to try the mac-n-cheese recipe this weekend.
I got the first cookbook when it came out last year(?) and I always make the brownie muffins/cupcakes. I use a box of any cake mix mixed with a can of pumpkin. They are so good and even the men in my life think they are better than regular cupcakes. I can't wait to get the new cookbook.
Thank you for the tips =)

I don't have the cookbook, but I love the website! I get the daily emails sent to my inbox, and she is so creative in making low-calorie, delicious food :) I also love the way she reviews the packaged products so we can know about those when we're in a rush, too!

I've never heard of this site before, thanks for the info! Another great site is sparkpeople.com, it has the nutrition info of like everything!
Thanks for this post I never heard of the site. I checked it out and now i'm going to definitely order the book :)The Girl's Bite Out is something that I love the most on the site haha I read through briefly but the Margarita-mania I think it was called is a great post. I've always wanted a nice guide as to when I go out for special occasions what mixed drinks are the best to go with on the least amount of calories :)
great website i had never heard of this before but i had a little browse and i am sure i will be trying lots of the recipes!
Yes this site is definately helpful for the food loving gals like myself. I eat like 10 times a day and although i'm not overweight Its nice to not see a food site not criticizing everything you eat but educating you on the things which you can INDULGE!!

Great ill check it out
I've been a Hungry Girl devotee for about three years now. Great ways to reduce calories and her Low Cal Margs are SO GOOD!!!!!!
Love, hugs and shoes...Angie
I can't figure out how to use the site?? LOLWhere's the recipes?? I feel so dumb. Is it under Chew the Right Thing?
It was I, humbly taking a bow, who suggested hungrygirl.com to y'all. I'm so glad you're enjoying it. Tiffnay - sign up to get HG's daily email. Some days will have recipes, some days just recommendations for great low-cal snacks etc. She does publish a lot of recipes and you can find them by searching on her website. Her cookbooks are good too.At first, I didn't really relate because I'm more of a natural (not processed) food kind of girl But I've tried so many of the HG recipes and have enjoyed them. And they've helped me lose a lot of weight. Sometimes you just really need to have one of your favorite dishes that you know is full of fat and calories... and if you can get the taste without all those calories... YOWZA!! And BTW, when you read about how good the Vita-top Muffins are, BELIEVE it! The cran-bran ones are fabulous.

Carole--I totally agree about signing up for the daily email :) I love recommendations. I actually gave powdered peanut butter a try because I heard about it on Hungry Girl! (It only has about 60 calories per 2T, versus 180 in regular pb!). It's not quite the same, but it's still really satisfying. I can't wait to get other great rec's from HG. :D
