Great Anti-Frizz Product?
Sun, 06/14/2009 - 1:42am
I'm absolutely crushed that my favorite e-tailer has closed with no plans to reopen. I am a diehard user of her hair care and I can think of replacements and new places to try for most of the hair care except ONE product- Anti-Frizz. It needs no silly name because it's pure, golden, and absolute love. It's perfect for my hair and I feel lost without it. My hair has a slight wave to it and is mildly coarse thanks to my Native American and Irish heritage and this is the absolute BEST product I have ever found. It was my Holy Grail and now it's gone. What do you ladies use for frizz? Anything that won't make me oily, weigh my hair down TOO much, or is very sticky would be my favorites! Thanks in advance!

I haven't tried this product myself but Meg raves about this so much! Here's the link to her post:http://megsmakeup.com/2009/01/28/marco-pelusi-marco-color-smoothing-gloss
I definitely would recommend the marco pelusi gloss as well. I got this from Meg a few days ago and it is working magic on me. I am native american as well and I have what sounds like the same type of hair as you. This gloss will meet all the expectations that you listed!!! I was previously using John Frieda's Brunette gloss and I loved it but it is forever being replaced by my marco gloss!
I have been using and loving Carol's Daughter's Hair Milk. This works wonders on my curly hair.
Jessicurl's products are wonderful. I use them all and have no frizz. I have extreme curls though! Also, you might want to try Living Proof's "No frizz" products. I have the one for curly hair and it's great. You have to order Jessicurl online (jessicurl.com) and you MUST try her Too Shea! conditioner. You can get the Living Proof stuff at Sephora. Good luck!

Living Proof products @ Sephora.com. They work superbly!

The one by John Freida
And I use lotions in emergencies.
I really like citre shine, as noted in my fav's. It's basically the same as John Frieda but at 1/2 the price. Also outshine is a great lotion for refreshing on the days you don't wash it. I also like curl booster from Tigi for the high humidity times here and there. It's a spray frizz product which works an smells awesome.
I recently tried the GVP (from Sally's) version of the Chi Silk Infusion and it's been taming SOME of my frizz. With all of this rain in the northeast lately, I don't know if anything can tame all of it.
Lately I have been using a combination of Aussie's leave in conditioner spray and Dove's anti-frizz cream. It has really been working for me. I have yet to frizz in the heat yet this year. That is a miracle for me!
I love Frederic Fekkai Glossing Cream. It has olive oil in it, but isn't too greasy or heavy (better than the Paul Mitchell and TiGi serums I've tried), smells nice and fresh but not too strong, and works well in my hair :) You can go to Sephora and ask a sales lady to make you a little sample in a jar.

i like olive oil hair products and dove anti frizz leave in conditioner oil sheen works great too

I've had great results with Citre Shine, definitely give it a try!
i need to try some of those products myself
I love the suggestions here. I totally forgot about Citre Shine. I used that a few years back and loved it.
Dove's Frizz Control Therapy Cream has been the best stuff for me and my frizz. I have thick black frizzy Indian hair (cause I am Indian), and I live in a hot humid climate. I just use a squirt or two, and it works wonders.
Living Proof is the bomb, no question about it. And I just got an email from their site that have launched shampoo and conditioner, as well. They have a product for straightening hair and one for defining curls without frizz, and they are classfied by hair type, whether thick and coarse (what I use) or Medium to fine.
AG Shine, always go back to it. Aveda, can't remember the name but Blue glass jar ( think it's called Brilliant) loved it so much I bought the aromatherapy perfume. Asked to try it first...cant be quite costly at $25.00Artcandy

My favorite anti-frizz products are Moroccan Oil and Fekkai Glossing Cream. They both are great at taming the flyaways and frizzies without weighing my fine hair down. Good luck!
My favorite is Living Proof "No frizz styling spray" (or styling cream, whatever you prefer). You can get it at Sephora or order it at www.livingproof.com. I just got a sample and already am blown away so that I ordered both spray and cream at Sephora. They have a shampoo/conditioner line out, too...maybe I give this a try somewhen;-).

I really like Neutrogena's triple moisture healing shine serum. You only need a very small amount. I apply to damp hair and either blow dry or let it dry naturally, and my hair always feels really soft and shiny afterward. And it smells realllly good.
Bio silk is my favorite product!!! I have thick, unruly hair and this really does the trick!! The price tag isnt great but to me it is worth the price!!! :)
I use jojoba oil, and it is by far the best anti-frizz product I have come across. Second best, matrix sleek serum.
I hear you-course Irish hair here as well.Anything kerstase I ever used I loved especially bain oleo relax and all their deep conditioners, they have anovernight one too.One of the best serums Ive ever tried is citre shine(from any phamacy)its really cheap and easily absorbed and not too heavy and it smells fabulous like a citrus grove.

I got the Healthysexyhair Soy Renewal in myprettypinkbox, and it's awesome for frizz! It has Argan oil, which is supposedly the hot new ingredient in the beauty world lol. I think it's great whether I wear my hair straight or wavy!
I like the Living proof no frizz line, but it's SO spendy (and they want you to use so much product). It does really improve the appearance of my hair when I dry it straight, though
I've heard a lot about no frizz, you can get it at sephora. They have all different formulas depending on what you need for your hair!
My two favorites are biosilk and fekkai glossing cream. Both are expensive but they last for so long its worth it.
I'm also looking for a good anti-frizz product but.....my issue is that i need one that has no silicones in it! It is so hard to find ;0I'm hoping that i find one soon bc my hair is crying for it ;)good luck girls
I currently use Frederic Fekkai glossing cream because it smells great and smoothes out frizz without that greasy feeling!
I'm definietly a CHI cheerleader! It's awesome, and I have terrible frizzy hair. Put it in your hair when it's wet or dry. CHI straight guard is awesome. Shiny and manageable hair, without looking oily.
Depends on if you want to spend a little or a lot of money. And it also depends on the formulation you want. I really like frizz cremes and serums. One of the best frizz cremes I have used is from Suave. It is really cheap, but don't let it fool you. It is from the suave professionals line, and comes in a orange tube. It was like $2 for a giant tube. It really leaves my hair smooth, and keeps my hair frizz free for hours. Serums are awesome as well. I really like the citre shine serum, available for about $5. The best thing ever for frizz is biosilk. Biosilk makes your hair look like perfection. If you haven't tried biosilk, you have to try it! It is a little on the pricier side though. But a little bit goes a long way, and for what it does to your hair it is totally worth it.
Dry Hair Nourishment and De-frizzer from John Masters Organics works wonders on frizzy hair! I have really crazy, frizzy curls and when I use this, it makes my hair much shinier and it kills the frizz.
Try Moroccanoil or Frederick Fekkai Glossing Cream. I use one or the other on my hair after washing it, and I don't have frizz anymore!

I am in love with Frederic Fekkai Glossing Cream, it leaves my hair shiny and frizz-free.

I love Frederic Fekkai's glossing cream. It's awesome. It makes my hair super soft and shiny. It doesn't weight down my hair at all which I like as well.A cheap, but good, alternative is Sauve's Sleek cream it's like only $2.25 and works really well. It does weigh your hair down a little if you use too much, but it does work and it's inexpensive.
Sallys is coming out with a product called argan oil or argon oil i forget it's one or the other its pretty much like Moroccan oil.. suppose to be pretty good :)! i've also heard good things about the chi infusion stuff!

I use Bumble and Bumble's Defrizz serum. Works great on me.
