The citric acid in fresh juice along with the carbonation from club soda will cleanse hair and remove chlorine and salt build up and the sage oil will restore shine ,so heres what you need.1/4 cup of club soda,1/4 cup grapefruit juice,1/4 cup orange juice and 1/4 cup of lemon juice ,all freshly squeezed and a drop of sage essential oil.In a clean spray bottle, mix club soda and juice,if your hair is past shoulder length add1/8 cup more of soda water and juices, then add the sage oil,wet hair thoroughly, then spray on the mixture.Comb it through so hair strands are evenly coated, leave on for 2-4 mins.Finish with usual shampoo and conditioner.Repeat the citrus lift once every 2 weeks for superdry hair do it once every three weeks.

Thanks! Hair masks, treatments etc. are a staple of my beauty routine. Especially all natural ones. A quest for this type of info is what led me to the site initially. I've been enjoying many of your posts, potionprincess. You seem to have spent a lot of time educating yourself about all things beauty! Do you know if I could substitute another essential oil, maybe lavender, or does the sage oil do something unique?

It's supposed to add shine but most oils would work,Id say mabye rose oil ,if you have dry hair. Here's another good one for you.To eliminate product buildup without stripping your hair,(you do it just once a month).Add 1 tablespoon baking soda to 2 tablespoons shampoo, then wash and condition as usual. The baking soda removes stubborn residue left behind by styling products especially any silicone based products like serum.

Thanks potionprincess! I'll try this sometime.
Thanks, potionprincess! I'll definitely have to try the baking soda in my shampoo recipe because I love to use serums :)
