I was in the cosmetics Department the other day. Go figure? Anyway I had to try this brand of foundation based on msjred's faves. I am in love! So pricey though...does anything else compare?Artcandy
Well....it's an absolutely AMAZING foundation! Perfect and lasting coverage, gorgeous finish, and the "capture serum" it contains really does start to improve the texture of your skin! The color-range can be a bit tough as I agree,is the price.I have been an oil slick...temps well over 100 every day and sweaty workouts have done their damage and I'm currently giving Paula Dorf's "Oil Free" foundation a whirl for the Summer...it's still @ $40.00 but so far,it seems to be doing the trick in a similar way! Gorgeous coverage and a great and lasting finish. I think the fact that Dior is a "treatment foundation" adds to the price?Check out the "Paula Dorf" line at Ulta!!!I'll go back to Dior if/when it even cools down. ;)
So, I am new to Dior foundation. I just purchased Diorskin Nude Hydrating w/SPF 10 - and it is A M A Z I N G! It gives my combination skin the perfect finish -- not too oily, but not too matte. And the coverage is just right -- I have a little redness and it covers it without being too heavy and lasts the entire day. I am so in love!
I wanted to try Dior foundation, but they don't have a color match for my pale skin with pink undertones... so I'm stuck with Mac, they seem to be the only exact color match for me. I've also had good luck with Bobbi Brown tinted moisturizers.
I love this foundation. However, it did not match my skin either. (I am hard to match.) I tried to make a color work but, it ended up taking to much labor to pull it off.
There really isn't a Dior product I don't love! I wear the HydraAction Tinted moistuirzer every day! In the winter I wear the Icone liquid-to-powder. I love how well they stay on!!!
