I loved her "5 minute make up face" book and I like her approach to makeup that is down to earth and natural. Is her second book worth buying.I also love Kevin aucoin for his artistry. After "Making faces", should I get "face forward"? thanks!

Her second book is equally amazing! I got it for free with purchase at Ulta last year! Good deal right? But honestly I would have bought it myself. It is really good. It deals a lot with self-esteem issues and finding your real inner beauty. It is about embracing your individual quirks and making them your signature feature. There is a lot of great inspirational ideas along with useful and practical information. Plus I love how Carmindy includes great purchase tips from budget to luxury. And the pics are fabulous!!! Sorry for the gushing. I love this book!!And Kevyn Aucoin is to die for! I really miss him. Anyone who wants a gift for themselves or a fellow beauty lover can not go wrong with any of his books!Happy reading!!
thank you so much for your reply! I love both makeup artists because they don't stick by the rules but let your own self shine through. Their looks are always neat and demonstrate great artistry. I'm a makeup beginner and I don't like going overboard and so having Carmindy recomment me colors for my biracial skin was so much help for finding the right products. I sure will get them!
I'm a fan of Carmindy.. her tips are helpful and easy to follow. I also like her Sally Hansen/Carmindy makeup line a lot.. great colors using natural ingredients!

I really like Carmindy a lot, and would probably buy pretty much anything she's selling. And I was pleasantly surprised by her line with Sally Hansen. I always think of that brand for nail products, but her makeup line with them is pretty exceptional for a drugstore find.
I also really like Carmindy, although I'm sad to admit I never knew she had books out, lol. Her tips are always great and easy to follow, she's the main reason I watch What Not to Wear. I'll have to add her books to my Amazon wishlist! :)
