Botox, have you had it? Do you want it?
I recently stopped in to see the doctor that did my liposuction and breast augmentation in 1996. I had not seen him in almost 14 years and in that time I think I've referred over 25 women to him for nose jobs, boob jobs and lipo. It's been over 13 years since my surgery and even though I have lost and gained weight a few times, the enhancements he made to my body still look great. He did a terrific job, as well he should have for the $9000 that the surgery cost me. I was hoping if I stopped in to say hi, he would offer me some sort of perk for all of the business I sent to him over the years. Many of my friends went to him to fix breast augmentations that had been botched by another doctor, and they always looked terrific after they saw him. He also did an amazing nose job for another friend of mine so I was always happy to refer anyone to him. When I stopped in to see him we sat in his office chatting for a while and he did schedule a free medical facial with micro-dermabrasion for me. I sensed the Botox I was really longing for was going to cost me full price. The cost was $425 and I sheduled it despite my savings plan for Christmas. It's actually not Botox that he uses, but another form of Botulism. I have wanted to do this for at least six years. I'm 37 now but ever since I was 22 I've had frown lines between my eyebrows. My mom says they make me look thoughtful, but I think they just make me look angry and tired. I really don't have too many other wrinkles, some very fine lines around the eyes but that's about it and the frown lines are getting pretty pronounced. Have any of you gotten Botox, do you want it or are you not interested?

No i do not use botox, and i do not want to.
I got botox on the 11s to keep my frown lines from appearing, and it looked great! I also got botox on my upper lip to make it look pouty without getting fillers. LOVED IT. I have a very thin upper lip and this made it look bigger without looking fake. Both of these cost me ~$200 and lasted about 4 months. I need a top-up, but I'm broke!
I can't really from experience,Im definately curious but am afraid of the face freeze-I seen some really overdone botox here in Ireland but the doctors do seem to do a much better job in the us and if you know he does subtle work and can trust him you could probabely start with a tiny bit.

No Botox but yes to other fillers...I'd sure what to know what the "other" he plans to use IS before I commit? It just isn't a product that I think is that much "better"in terms of results that last compared to some of the "safer" fillers available...a friend recently had nerve-damage near her eye due to a botched Botox injection. As you obviously, know, the right Doctor is key! :)That's honestly a pretty good price BTW. I pay $460.00 per syringe for Juvaderm and I get the been a patient for 20 years discount. :) I'm considering a re-do on my implants (smaller,high-profile,possibly gummybear) and am afraid that 9K will be the "going rate" for that alone,LOL! The days of "bargins" alas are behind us,LOL!
Gosh plastic surgery costs so friggin much. I have a friend who is only 34 years old and she is BOTOXED out. I was hey.. what is with your face? Your eyes are large as eggs, you know, a major surprised look, and no lines on the forehead. She fessed up and finally told me she's been doing it for years. I don't believe in freezing the face. It lookes fake as hell. I have seen facial fillers such as your own rear fat, it was on the show "The Doctors", Juvaderm, and some others. I just don't get the putting the poison in your face stuff. That sounds awfully scarey!! What if they screwed up and yes, I would be willing to pay an incredibly reputible doctor, if I really wanted this done. But not for Botox. Seen it on too many people and they must have gone to bargain basement because they look completely pissed off and show no emotion whatsoever!! Yuck! That is not a good look. It must be suttle.

nope, nope, nope. Botulism in my face? No thank you. True, I'm only 23, I don't exactly have wrinkles per se, just a few lines below my eyes. Will I ever want it? Unlikely. I will earn my laugh lines and age gracefully and be proud of it. I think of my Grandmother who was the most beautiful woman I knew and think, what would she have looked like with Botox? Not the Nana I knew! I don't think it's necessary, for anyone. Get yourself a good firming cream if you're desperate, but I don't think people should be injecting crap into their face just to save themselves from a few inevitable wrinkles.

I think it's far over used and people get addicted. My mother and aunts all look healthy and much younger by taking care of themselves. When I see a woman and it is obvious she uses botox, I only pity her cause she's not fooling anyone and only coming across as even older.
