Vocation: Art Teacher and Artist What is in your purse? Well in my purse I have a Boots no 7 lipstick in a lovely Coral color called Coral Dream, an Everyday Minerals lipstick called Siesta, but these act more like balms though (I think). I have an Everyday Minerals puff Jar with some rice powder in it. I get very oily skin, so this helps a bit. I have an Everyday Minerals Retractable Kabuki too, love it! Because I live in FL I always carry some spf so I also have Aveeno positively radiant moisturizer with an spf of 30 and some Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunblock spf 55. Some Purell hand sanitizer, just in case. Ooh a no7 Pefect Lips pencil (it was hiding in there) in nude... sometimes I outline my lips to make them bigger, yet to find the perfect nude though, or one that will stay on me. Some Avon Glazewear color- Sand Shine. It is a nice gloss nude color. Other non makeup things: my new free phone from ATT - it's kinda nice, jealous of y'all iphoners though. Sharpie - everyone needs a sharpie! Toothpaste from my Virgin flight, so cute and teeny and a bunch of scrumpled up receipts... ie big mess.
Guilty Pleasure: Home and Away! I simply cannot miss an episode of it! If I do, I watch the omnibus at the end of the week to catch up on anything I may have missed, lol. I'm also a sucker for homemade cookies and cupcakes, yum! Skin color, type and any special skin concerns: I have fair skin which can get pretty oily. My main concerns are my dark undereye circles (concealer is a must!) and the occasional breakouts I get. :(
Beauty inspiration: My mommy of course! I love everything about her and think she looks damn good for her age! I only hope that I too look that good when I'm older!
Vocation: 2nd year veterinary student What is in your purse? When I am at school I usually only carry my backpack (boring, I know) with an SPF lip balm and whatever gloss I may wear that day. When I do carry a purse it is usually a small one that prevents me from gathering clutter. Right now my purse has Smashbox lip gloss in Illume and Avon liquid lip balm in a peachy colour. I usually only touch up my lips when I am on the go, so my purse doesn't get clogged with various other products. Guilty Pleasure: Wedding shows. I am terrible, I will watch marathons of Say Yes to the Dress and Rich Bride Poor Bride.
Skin color, type and any special skin concerns: I think I may have some olive in my skin, but I really have no idea! My skin is quite oily, and if I don't keep on top of it I end up with clogged pores and blackheads. Beauty inspiration: I think Angelina Jolie is always sporting the perfect cateye! I wish I could apply liquid liner as well as her makeup artists! For colored eye shadow I really like what Blake Lively and Leighton Meester wear on Gossip Girl. And Lauren Luke on youtube has been a great source of makeup tutorials that I have tried out!
Age: 42 Vocation: Hearing Officer for Department of Social Services What is in your purse?Maybelline Stiletto Mascara, Paula's Choice Sheer Perfection Pressed Powder, Smashbox O-Gloss, a small can of Nexxus Comb Thru Hairspray, Keys, Chapstick, Small Comb and Wallet. Guilty Pleasure: Staying home all day on the weekend wearing my fuzzy pants and watching Lifetime Movie Channel or any of the Real Housewives on Bravo. I also love ice cream and would rather have that for dinner than "real" food. Skin color, type and any special skin concerns: I have fair skin plagued with rosacea, acne and wrinkles around my eyes and mouth. My eyes have puffy dark bags under them. My skin tends to be oily on the forehead and nose areas and dry on the cheeks. Beauty inspiration: I love the actresses from the 1960's - Audrey Hepburn, Doris Day, Bridgett Bardot, Raquel Welch and Elizabeth Taylor. They always had the perfect outfits fitted perfectly to their bodies and the perfect makeup and hair. Oh yeah - also Megan Fox - she is just hot.
Guilty Pleasure: My Guilty Pleasure is anything on Bravo! Housewives of... flipping out, top chef project runway (I know it moved!) I love tv! And a pedicure! I LOOOOOVE pedicures! Skin color, type and any special skin concerns: I have fair combination skin. I have awful break outs UNDER the skin which is a pain! I don't have the big red things but i can never get rid of the little bumps on my forehead! I am always looking for something to help!
Beauty inspiration: People who can do amazing makeup! I can do hair like there is no tomorrow but I am useless when it comes to make up! I would love to be able to do something great! But I'm just dumb when it comes to it!
Guilty Pleasure: I love shows like America's Next Top Model and Project Runway. Skin color, type and any special skin concerns: I have fair sensitive/combination skin. I am always on the quest to look flawless but never seem to achieve my goal. I magically lose my makeup by the end of the day, and I can't figure it out.
Guilty Pleasure: Beauty magazines - I have a subscription to Cosmo, Glamour, Lucky, Allure and InStyle.
Skin color/type/special skin concerns: I'm pale, as in PALE. I have normal skin but I do have some older leftover scars from blemishes when I broke out in my early 20s. Barely a zit in high school. And now I just get the occasional red bump on my face.
Beauty Inspiration: Color! I love color. I get inspiration from TV, movies, internet, magazines and real life.
Skin color, type and any special skin concerns: I have combination skin. Sometimes I get really big pimples but I just use the Burt's Bees herbal blemish stick at the first sign and it goes away! First thing I've ever used that has actually worked. Beauty inspiration: Women who are effortlessly beautiful.
Age: 26 Vocation: Proud mature-age student doing higher education the second time around - studying a Diploma of Interior Design specializing in Electronic Presentation. That's just a fancy way of saying I'm learning to draw my designs on the PC. ;] What is in your purse? I never leave the house without the following essential items: - MAC Studio Fix in NW25 - This is my ultimate foundation - the one and only of its kind that I have been completely 110% satisfied with since first opening its little shell pack that fateful day. This powder based foundation goes on lightly with a handy-sponge applicator that fits under the color shelf of the compact. It has an in-built mirror for easy touch-ups throughout the day. I find it gives a lovely even and smooth coverage over my t-zone and blends perfectly with my complexion. It covers imperfections with one swipe and gives a light minimal coverage look that lasts me all day. - MAC Blot Powder in Medium - I can thank my Mother for my naturally oily skin. Admittedly in 10 years I'll probably be singing her praises as a certain amount of natural oil tends to help reduce wrinkles developing but let me tell you I wasn't praising anyone for my oil slick face as a teen! Thankfully in my 20's I discovered MAC's Blot Powder in Medium - to match my skin tone. I apply this with a large fluffy brush over my t-zone whenever I feel that familiar 'shine' starting to develop. This powder goes on very sheer, allowing me to retain my light make-up look. It soaks up the extra oil in a flash and turns my nose from shiny to matte in seconds. MAC Lipstick - I have loads of these and tend to carry around the one I'm wearing on the particular day for touch-ups. I take in my empty MAC containers once I reach 6 and am given a free lipstick for my troubles! Helps the environment and definitely keeps me in good supply of lovely colorful lips! - Ipod - I take public transport in a bid to do my bit for the smog that envelopes our world and to help put some more physical activity in my day, so it's desperately important I take my Ipod everywhere I go. - Wallet and many store cards - I'm the queen of bargain hunting. If I can sign up for a loyalty card, rest assured I will! I have probably thirty in my wallet at any one time. They take up more space than my paltry student money these days!
Guilty Pleasure: I love McDonald's fries, I basically grew up on McDonald's so even though it is pretty gross, I still have hankerings for those fries! I am totally addicted to shoes, I love pumps especially. I am really bad for buying super tall shoes, wearing them to work for a couple hours and halfway through the day I switch to flats. Skin color, type and any special skin concerns: I am pretty fair (N4 in M.A.C. Studio Fix), I have combination skin and it doesn't help that I live in a very cold dry climate. My main skin concern are my dark circles, so I basically have to use concealer every day so I don't look "tired" when I'm not.
