How many times have you heard that beauty comes from within? Was it usually coming from your mother's mouth after you just complained to her about your acne/weight/bad luck with guys? The timing when that phrase comes up is always kind of fishy, right? I mean, if beauty really came from within, how come your mom never tells you so on the days you look your best? How come you've never heard "oh my gosh, you look fabulous today! It must really be coming from within!"? You know the answer. It's because "beauty comes from within" is code for "don't worry that you look like crap, maybe someone will be able to see beyond that".
Here at megsmakeup.com we say that beauty comes from within bottles, jars, compacts and tubes. Recently - and even though we love remaining highly cynical when it comes to the "beauty comes from within" motto - we have come to realize that sometimes beauty acytually does come from within. And I'm not talking about seeing your ugly friends as pretty ones just because you love them. I'm talking about seeing your hair shine more after you start taking vitamin E, or noticing a difference on how much your skin shines when you put some lemon in the water you drink every day.
Hello ladies! This is Eleni. Hope you had a wonderful Halloween, without losing any of your precious makeup products while partying. It's hard not to lose anything though. I mean, who can carry a purse on Halloween and how many costumes have pockets? Yep, not many (*making kangaroo mental note for next year*). You know what I'm getting at. We have discovered the perfect unloseable makeup product - may I introduce you to the Yoyo Lip Gloss!
The day we got our Yoyo lip gloss samples here at megsmakeup.com, I was so excited that Meg got a bit scared. She's never seen me get so excited about a lip gloss again, which makes total sense since we get and try SO many lip glosses it's ridiculous. But I've read so much about the Yoyo lip gloss and have gotten so curious about it that I couldn't help myself.

Name:Antoinette Morgan Age: 21 Vocation: Current Fitness & Health Student What is in your purse? Other than my purse being filled with mints and a huge bottle of water... right now I carry around my Nivea chapstick (a must have at all times), MAC blot powder, and my Sexy Curves Mascara.
Guilty Pleasure: Shopping for bras and jeans and mascara. Whenever I go out, I always end up coming back with either of the three or all. Skin color, type and any special skin concerns: I guess we can call my complexion "chocolately". I would say I have oily skin (and it really doesn't help that I'm always touching it :S ), my main skin concern is acne scarring. I don't get a lot of pimples, but when I do, they have a tendency to leave marks on my face even if I don't bother them.
Beauty inspiration: I will DEFINITELY give this credit to my mom She goes for the natural look by just wearing blot powder and lipgloss and keeping her eyebrows done all the time. Her skin is also gorgeous, she's nearly 50 yet she still looks 30. I hope to look like that when I'm 50 too.
Hello dear Megheads! This is Eleni sharing little pieces of last night with you.
How fun does going to a Crest event sound? It's an interesting feeling. Part of you feels like you're going to the dentist. Another part of you feels that it's OK to go to the dentist because you're gonna get a treat on your way out - IF you don't cry. And then, there is this third part of you, the optimistic Hollywood part, that feels like everything's gonna be OK because Ryan Seacrest is there and he's always smiling. Having Ryan Seacrest smiling next to yourself smiling in-a-picture will not cross your mind at this point, so you will still feel just fine leaving home without flossing. Probably one of the few times in your life that you'll regret not flossing SO much.
On our way to Santa Monica, Megan and I were hysterically laughing in the car about Sea-Crest hosting the Crest event. As usual we made up at last 4 different crazy scenarios on how this partnership happened. Of course we couldn't hold them to ourselves. Megan asked Ryan if he thinks Crest got its name in honor of his smile. I asked him if he had to change his name in order to be hired by Crest. He seemed amused and told us stories about how Crest Scope has practically saved his dating life.
