SKIN FREE SKINCARE! AWARD WINNING PRODUCTS FORMULATED BY A PHARMACIST!
BabyLove here! I love this next product because it worked wonders on my son. So, any of you people who suffer from skin conditions, please LISTEN UP! Skin Free Skincare is available at local drugstores throughout the country, and I'm really shocked that in my quest for eczema control, I never noticed it.
The thing about Skin Free, is that it is pretty easily overlooked. The packaging is super simple, with no frills, "look at me" gimmicks, or empty promises. The fantastic thing about this line, is that it doesn't need any of that, because it works, and it works well.
Reviewers received a package of four skincare products from their line. I'm going to post about my favorite product, the Extra Moisturizing Soap. This bar soap contains no fragrance, petroleum products, colorant, or harmful chemicals. How moisturizing is this soap for dry, irritated skin? Well, the back of the box says, "May also be used as a perfect conditioning shampoo with no greasy look after." Oh, okay. I guess after I clean my pits, I'll wash my hair. This soap is full of vegetable oils and butters, and it does the trick.
I love the fact that this soap lathers up. Not only did I wash William's body, and his hair (per back of box), but I also washed his face. I usually don't dare to wash his face with anything except water. Skin Free exceeded my expectations since I'm usually drawn to body washes that are combo wash and shampoo. I never thought that I'd find that convenience in a bar of soap.
So how well did it work? The moisturizing factor of this soap was astounding. There was no need for a follow up of hydrocortizone after William's bath. We did, however, follow it up with Skin Free's After Shower Moisturizing Spritz. A little trick for the eczema, use the moisturizer, and if age appropriate, wrap the affected areas with plastic wrap! It works amazing!
Two thumbs up for Skin Free!
You can find it online and buy it here, or in a drugstore near you!

Great products for babies! And it's all natural! Love it!
I love SkinFree products! I agree with metisse1 they are great for babies too! I use the Body Butter when my son gets diaper rashes and it goes away that same day.

Cool this sounds likea great product cause it can be used on hair as well as skin (although I barely know anything about baby products :S) I like how it is all natural.
WOW! Very Interesting. I am going to look for it next time I am at the grocery or drugstore. Sometimes some of the best things are in simple packages. Cetaphil is a good example of that. Thanks for bringing us another great group of products Baby Love.
i dont like the name skin free too much but id try it if it was the right price.

This sounds lovely =)
I will be looking for these products at my local drugstore!! Thanks for the heads up!
It seems to be a good product.
That looks great, THanks for the reviews!!
how much does this line run?
wow, sounds great!
Wow, sounds like a fantastic product! Even as an adult my boyfriend still gets some spots of mild eczema when he is stressed and the soaps that he uses irritate his skin (even though I have told him to use something different!) Men can be so stubborn! I think this'd be the perfect alternative.
Moisturizing soap sounds good. Everything I try seems to be so drying with my water.
Hmm, that moisturizing soap sounds amazing. Though maybe not my hair right after my pits. xD
I wonder if you can get this in Aus? I'm always on the look out for moisturising bar soap because I use it for shaving my legs. Lush does the trick at the moment but it's always fun trying something new!

How generous can you be??? Skin Free gave us four FULL size products to try. I want to buy all of their products just for that! They gave us: super moisture body balm, extra moisturizing soup, a butter stick, and an after shower spritz. These products totally threw me off...not what I expected. The body balm is packaged like a lotion - bottle and cap, but out comes a balm that has the consistency of Vaseline. And, you think the Shower spritz will be a liquid but it actually squirts out oil! If you need moisturizing, these are the products for you. I'm using these but having trouble getting my daughter (3) to use them; she doesn't like the consistency or the smell. The products don't really have a smell - they actually smell like shea butter to me. Thumbs up from me...still working on the kid!
Olliebeeis so right when she says generous! You never expect to be able to try the whole line of a product! It was so nice to be able to experiment and find out which one of these products worked well and in what order. We ended up loving the after shower spritz. It kinda squirts out and you have to rub it in. It has a subtle scent of shea butter. The skin free takes the place of your extreme moisturizer. No need to break out the vaseline on the kiddos any more, this line is WAY more appealing! We ended up sharing some of these great products with a friend of ours that was having horrible dry skin issues with her little girl. She had tried everything and said that the Skin Free worked wonders. I would recommend this to anyone that has sensitive dry skin!

While I am a sucker for pretty packaging, I like the "no frills" feeling of these products. It makes me feel like they put all their money/time/effort into the product itself rather than trying to sell it to me with fancy fonts. I don't have problems with dry skin, but I may try to pick up these products for my coworker. She has such dry skin that it looks painful, so anything is worth a shot.
BabyLove, I've had eczema since I was first born so I know all about soap-free soaps and ointments. This sounds really gentle and just the thing for delicate areas. I'm lucky in that the older I get the less sensitive my skin tends to be - so now I can use soaps (LUSH mainly) and not have any major reactions. : ]
i've got a whole lot of skin problems atm.. all coming out of no where! i stopped using soaps because they irritate my skin like hell (all of a sudden my skin became really sensitive, maybe hormonal changes?)I am definitely interested in this product! on my way to check it out now! thanks for the review :)
My new Ebay Store: cossiepieMy blog: http://lazyscorner.blogspot.com/
This sounds great! I will defiantly look for this the next time I'm in the drugstore! I will be having my little girl soon and I would love to have this on hand for her delicate skin!
Good for eczema? I'm all over it! It sounds perfect, especially during these winter months when the skin tends to be dry. The company's website has a list of stores that carries their products organized by state. Once the weather here gets better I will stop by the nearest Walgreens to pick this up. Thanks for this article BabyLove!
I'll check this out when I am in CVS this weekend. I never noticed the packagingon the shelves before, but as you said, it would be easy to overlook. My sister is using Johnson's baby bath on my 9 mo. old niece, but this sounds more moisturizing, even though I know she will tell me that the baby does not need to worry about that at this age. I say it's never too early to take good care of your skin.
great all natural prodcts thx for the review!
Awesome review
I love multi-purpose products. This sounds great. I wonder if it helps with psoriasis?

My brother suffers a lot from eczema, I'll suggest them to him

The name is a bit weird to me but sounds like a good basic product for kids or people who want very basic products. We don't get that product over here but I still appreciate the review and am checking out their website at the moment. I just know that if I go on a trip to the US at some point I won't be able to carry home all the products I will want to buy. ;)
Thanks BabyLove! I have a friend who refuses to treat his eczema outbreaks (not so snuggly) and I am going to pick this up the next time I'm at the store. Love a great drugstore deal!!
Wonderful! I will get out to a drugstore and get this stuff today. My son's eczema is intractable - nothing calms it, and I have tried a lot of things. So I'll give this ago as well.
I like natural products since my skin is quite sensitive. I can imagine this line is very mild as babies can use them too. I'm not sure the products are formulated for my super oily skin though.
I was also so impressed with how generous they were with handing us out full bottles of everything! I actually had a dry skin issue on myself when I recieved these, on my arms. The back of my arms and elbow area get really dy in the winter. I tried the lotion and it worked great all over my body. The after shower spritz was just what my dry arms had been looking for! It was just the right amount of moisturel to get my arms back to normal!! I love, love this for myself, so I don't know if I will share. My boys have super soft skin already! I, like babylove, love the soap for my boys! Who knew a bar of soap that looks so simple could do so much! My oldest son who is four has super sensitive skin and this worked great for him! What an amazing line!
ooh nice product here. will recommend to my friend who has dry skin.
Oooh this looks like something I could use and the prices are great too :-)
very interesting with reasonable prices! might have to check this one out! :D
thanks! this stuff sounds amazing. i'll be sure to check it out at my next shoppers drugmart visit.
Sounds like you have found a wonderful product for your William!!I don't have eczema, but I do have overly dry dry skin, imagine an alligators skin...that is me...I'll have to see if I can find this product around here! Thanks for the great review!
Skin Free's products have the PERFECT formula to treat my son's itchy, eczema-ridden skin! I was thrilled to receive four of their fabulous full-size products. Of the four, I'd have to say that the Naiouli Butter Stick is my favorite and the After Shower Moisture Spritz comes in at a close second. The stick is fabulous for my son's dry chapped cheeks. The no-mess tube is great since he loves to apply it himself. It moisturizes and soothes his skin. Of all the 4 products, the stick had a nice subtle scent which I really liked. As for the After Shower Moisture Spritz, it is great for the areas he is prone to breakouts and irritation -- the creases of his elbows, behind his knees and his back. The spray bottle allows me to target these particular areas and has really improved the redness caused by *lovely* eczema! I won't be running out of any products soon since I got to test these full-size products. But when I do, I will be running to my local drugstore to replenish my Skin Free.
Yayayayayay!!! I am ON this.
I NEED to find these products! Thank you so much for this feature. I've got eczema too so I'm always on the look out for great products w/out many ingredients!
Omg i need to find this stuff
Sounds great, I love the idea of the moisturising spray, when my first daughter was little (and had eczema) we had to lotion her entire body from head to toe twice daily, an effective spray would have saved chasing a greasy naked toddler through the house, lol.
Lily - Mineral makeup Junkie!!!
This sounds good, my little girl gets exzema sometimes I just have to be careful what i usein her baths, this sounds great though. I was usin oilatum but it doesnt seem to help atall, now I am using tesco baby top to toe wash and her skin seems fine. when she was a few months old she had exzema quite bad and i was given an emulsifying ointment and she had a reaction to it the exzema went really red and her eyes puffed up (even though it hadnt been used on her eyes-i think she had been rubbing them when cream was on the back of her hands-was horrible! :(
this sounds like something that would be amazing for my skin! maybe after i finish up m,y goat's milk soap...i've never seen this in a drugstore before, though.edit:I bought the Skin Free Extra Moisturizing Soap 3.5 oz : 3.99,Skin Free Niaouli Butter Stick 1 oz : 7.99, andSkin Free Super Moisture Body Balm 8 oz : 12.99this must be good for KP, too..esp. in the winter months!

I also agree that this company was super generous by giving us so much product to test out-Thank you !!!!I was really surprised. Then I was even more shocked that I actually loved all of it. I also have horrible skin and this weather does not help!! If I had to pick my favorite it would be a tie between the butter stick and the after shower spritz.
The Butter stick is great because it fits perfectly in your pocket book. I lost track of what its actually for because I use it on anything that is dry and cracking it works miracles. It great for kids cheeks.I love the after shower spray because 1) its a spray! 2) its great for my pregnant belly! 3) its also good to spray on kids after a bath-its greasy but in a good way. It really works everyone should try this stuff really!!!
This sounds really nice because my mom has very sensitive dry skin that tends to get rashes very easily if she doesn't use certain brands of soap. She uses Basis right now, but this sounds more convenient that having a soap, shampoo, and face wash. I will let her know about this and look for it next time we go to the store!
The moisturizing soap was my favorite product, too! I am very lucky to have a baby with no real skin issues, other than a little dry skin in the winter. So sometimes I feel like trying something like this isn't going to really impress me, since I'm not looking for a miracle cure. I go in with pretty low expectations, just hoping to like the stuff enough to use it all up. I like it when I'm pleasantly surprised! As I was with this soap... If you read any of my other baby reviews, you'll know that I'm a lather snob. Bring on the bubbles. I need it to feel like it's working. And boy did this bubble. Tons of soft, smooth lather, gliding over my son's baby skin and just a few swipes of the bar covered his whole body (and face!) It smells very subtle, very natural and definitely left his skin silky smooth. I also tried the moisturizing spray after the bath. This wasn't as great for me. It comes out like spray suntain oil. VERY oily and it doesn't so much spray, as it just squirts liquid. When I rubbed it in it was really greasy. I thought my son was going to squirt right out of my hands! After awhile it did soak in, and his skin was really soft, it just needed a lot of drying time. I loved the soap, but I think I'll stick with regular lotion.
I like this product.
Sounds great, I'll be sure to check it out.
The fact that a pharmacist created this is intriguing. This sounds like a wonderful brand to use! Natural is mostly what makes products better. I love simple products that I can understand what they are made of. This sounds like a winner!
