KATE QUINN'S ORGANIC ALOE BABY SOAP SUDS!
BabyLove here! My vacation in Florida is coming to an end, and I'm pretty sure that I'll be planning a vacation from this vacation. Three weeks with my children, non stop, is really enough. I love them dearly, but at least at home I get a bit of a break. I'm not looking forward to returning to New England's weather, but I am looking forward to my own bed and my dogs!
This next product, Kate Quinn's Aloe Soap Suds, was sent to me for review under the impression that my kids would be the guinea pigs. I have to say, this was not the case, because I snatched it right away from them after the first time I used it as a face wash. They both had a chance to sample this fantastic wash, briefly, and now it belongs to me.
This regular sized, bar of soap comes in a brown, cardboard box. It's nothing special to look at, but it's certainly special to use. 100% natural, and made from lavender and aloe, this soap had the stuff to keep my face smooth, clear, moist, and protected from the harsh northern winter. It did not get sudsy, but instead provided a gel-like lather that you would expect from a bottle of cleanser. My face is very sensitive, and I usually have a few red, irritated spots on my cheeks. I don't know if it was the aloe in the bar, or what, but the inflammation in my face definitely decreased every time I used this. After this fortunate discovery, the few times that William's eczema flared up, I sat him in a tub and lathered his legs with this. I'm almost done with the bar, and I guarantee I will be buying two new bars, one for William, and one for me.
Since they are an upscale clothing boutique, Kate Quinn offers very limited bath products, in fact, this might be their only one. I'd really like to see them start manufacturing a bath line, because if it could be anything like their Aloe Soap Suds, it would be a winner.
O.K. Mamma's 'fess up! What "baby product" has made its way onto "mommy's vanity?

Well, I am not a mom and haven't had any baby siblings/cousins in years, so I can't answer that question. However, this seems like a really neat product. I love that it's natural, because pure stuff like that is just better. I love what it has in it, and maybe I need to find something like this to use. Nice article and lovely review.

This sounds lovely BabyLove! Great review. I adore aloe in many products - it's so gentle and calming. : ]
Good review. Although, I don't know if I'd use soap on my face again. The very few times that I've tried to wash my face with soap, I haven't liked it as much as cleansers at all
I've gone back to washing my face with a 100% neem soap. It leaves my skin baby soft, clean, and has worked wonders for my skin problems. I tried moving to products designed for the face, but I found it did horrible things to my skin, or I threw a reaction. Admittedly, there's some products I'd be interested in trying, but I like the soap and it works. As for this product, I love your review and would probably buy it if it wasn't that I prefer to grab a few things and didn't see anything else that interested me ... not to mention that if I wanted to place an order as an international customer it seems to be a bit of a hassle. When it comes to baby products which have ended up being snatched up by me off my kids, because they have my sensitivity and allergy issues I tend to simply give them whatever I use to be safe.
... sanity is relative, insanity is quantum mechanics ...
I love lavender and Aloe, this soap sounds awesome!!
I love the baby soap from Chagrin valley! Its sooo good as a face wash and to cleanse with...Highly recommended :)
Anything gentle sounds wonderful. I swear my face feels dry and frozen from walking into work along the Hudson River. Brrrr. I've used Aveeno oatmeal bath and baby wipes pretty steadily since I was a baby.

this is an interesting product! i never thought soap can be a good facial cleanser.
hahah that is funny stealing it back from your poor kids! lol.. i really like using baby lotions and oils on my body.. right now i am working my way through some natures gate organic baby oil.. i use it on my legs after shaving.. has some some really nice oils in there and if it is gentle enough for babies then it is even better for me! Also can't forget the ever handy baby wet wipes for cleaning up makeup
makeup makeup makeup!!!!!!!
i love all the great baby products you review! i think all babies should use the products you recommend regardless of whether or not they have special skin conditions. if i had a baby friend, i'd use this stuff.

I'm a horrible mother, because just about everything that's made for my baby ends up on me or on my shelf! Seriously, baby stuff is so great! It's usually more sensitive, smells softer and lighter and tends to have less chemical crap in it. That's good for all of us! I used this Kate Quinn stuff and I'm pretty happy with it. (notice I said "I used", because yes, I used this entirely on myself. bad mom.) Let me get the bad stuff out of the way first...I'm a subs snob and I like LOTS of lather. This did not soap up that much. So that was a bit sad for me. But, I have nothing but good things to say about the rest of it. No flashy packaging (yay for green packaging!), a nice, soft, mellow smell, no strange colorings and it lasted forever! I must have used it every day for over a month. And in the dead of winter, it did not leave my skin dry at all. I felt clean, moisturized and fresh-smelling. There was no leftover residue, nothing too strong smelling and I didn't get that weird skin-cracking feeling as I dried off. I still applied my regular body lotion, but my skin was not nearly as parched as it had been before I started using this bar. Not a bad product at all!
I'm a soon to be first time mama, and I always use baby oil after I shower. This organic soap looks and sounds great, although I wouldn't use it on my face, but rather my body since becoming pregnant, I've gotten dry patches on my body. I'm a lavender freak, loove the smell and the mood it puts me in. Relaxed and Tranquil. I would love to try this!
no kids, but i love Johnson's Baby line of products :)
This sounds promising, but I wonder about the price. Now I'm using kiss my face olive and honey soap. I love it. It doesn't dry me out and you can't beat the 2.73 price tag.
my daughter turns 2 tomarrow and she always tries to use my lotions, etc. She LOVES them. I love the way baby stuff smells, and i think this sounds like an awesome product!
this sounds like a relaxing product. definitely a splurge if you ask me. it seems like it would really be smooth and comforting.
where in New England?!?! Iam not trying to be a creeper or anthing BUT I live in New Hampshire and today its 0 degrees with the wind chill!!!! its aweful! .. .I saguest you stay there!! haha
I got this soap to put into a new baby basket and the Mama and babe who got it were both very pleased. It is really nice for colder climates when one needs some extra mositure and TLC.
Sounds like a good product I only hope it also smells good I love nice scents.
I'm with Stacy B and everything "baby" ends up on my dresser! Everyone in my house has used the Kate Quinn's aloe baby soap. Oh does it moisturize! It does not leave you with that dry skin that most bar soaps leave behind. My daughter has used it and she does complain that it stings her eyes. She is very sensitive and sometimes screams when J&J shampoo drips down her face so as a mother I would say just be careful with this around the kids eyes as I am not sure it is tear free. It has a very soft lavender smell and the soap kinda glides on more like a cream than a soap... there is not much lather is what I am trying to say. I love the simple packaging but would love if they sold one a little more spruced up so you could add it to a baby gift. This is great as far as bar soaps. I would love it if they made some other scents!

I have to say...with ALL the FAB soaps we've been testing and trying lately I cannot imagine WHY anyone would go back to nasty grocery store aisle soaps. Natural soaps like this one as well as the incredible Goats Milk soaps have me completely snubbing anything truly soap like. Sorry Dove...I'm a goat girl now!
Love, hugs and shoes...Angie
I don't have kids, but i love body washes and lotions from Burt's Bees' and Weleda's baby range.
The packaging look's great really rustic and simple.Personally I alway's feel the need to try any skincare product no matter who it's aimed at and anything with aloe in seems to really aggree with my skin-so now instead of stealing candy from babies it will be soap instead.Seriously though my sister friend's child has ezema so I will pass on the suggestion.

Oh this sounds absolutely wonderful! I like the fact that it is organic. I don't have any babies of my own (yet) so I can't really answer your question properly!!
All natural soaps I've tried are great and I like bar soaps better than liquid soap. Most baby products smell lovely :) I know about a lot women who will only use baby shampoo on their hair too ;)
i LOVE all my baby products...my favourite is Ewe Need It goats milk soap with baby powder scent. Not a baby product as such but i only came across it because of using cloth nappies for my kids. I bought fab wool care stuff from Ewe Need It and was sent a sample of their soap. It is the BEST soap i have EVER used!! x
This looks really good.
Ok...embarrased to admit this, but I recently got Ivory bar soap in my 3yr old's eyes and she was NOT happy. We had to stop the shower immediately and I had to try to comfort her for what seemed like a long time while her eyes burned. Not to mention how dry it made her skin. This soap is awesome. Like many other people, I end up using these baby products and love them (Buriti Baby sits on MY dresser!). Me and my daughter have very dry skin..her's is dry patches on her legs and I feel like this soap really helps. It does glide on rather than lather but I don't mind that. And I love the all natural lavender smell! I have to stop and remind myself how much better all natural products are especially for my kids. I like the packaging too! I think its simple and classy.
I've just switch back to using natural soap bars for facial cleansing. This sounds nice. I love the smell of lavender.
This sounds really nice. I don't have any babies yet, so I can't steal any of their products. I'm sure I will when my time comes though. I'm a big fan of baby oil - I know it has tons of horrible crap in it, but it just moisturizes like crazy and I use it after showers most days.
This sounds amaaaaazing... especially since it's been such a dry winter here. Thank you so much!
I am not a mother, but after taking care of my niece throughout the years I have learned to love Aquafor and Johnson's products for myself as well as for her. I will put Aquaphor on my feet and put some socks on before I go to bed and when I wake up in the morning my heels and toes look perfect. I love all of Johnson's scents- the nighttime wash relaxes me and makes me sleepier than it does to my niece! I also use Baby powder as dry shampoo when I am in desperate need for some.
interesting! i might have to check this one out! it's 100% natural??
i don't have kids, but i love baby wipes!!!! i feel so hygienic using them lol!

No babies for me either - and I'm very wary of anything labelled 'soap' that is designed for the face....Everything I have ever read is that soap is really bad for your skin.....so I guess this isn't technically 'soap' and is more just a bar of good stuff.

i love all my baby products! their great for sensitive skin. i use baby wipes to remove my eye make up, baby lotion to moisturize ( and i love the smell) and baby oil for when im out of bab wipes lol. o and the baby sunscreen is what i use every summer, the spf is higher and it doesnt break me out. baby products rule!
hmm, probably body oil! it's handy for a makeup removing..
I don't have any babies, but I do buy baby shampoo to clean my makeup brushes. I like the sound of this soap and may buy it, but I want to try the goats milk soap that was reviewed here first.

I love this column, because my sister has a baby girl, and my mother keeps her totally overstocked in the clothes and toys department, so we decided that I would be in charge of the "baby beauty product" area. This makes it so much easier, I just make a note of the product reviewed here, and I buy it. All the work is already done for me, it's tested and reviewed by an actual mom so I don't have any worries that I'm buying into advertising hype.
this would be the perfect soap for my super dry winter legs.
I admit that from time to time when I'm stressed I will take a hot bath and slather on baby lotion. For some reason is a relaxing scent.

Not a mom, but I like lavender scented products. They are so soothing that I use them especially around exam dates to calm my nerves and help get quality sleep. As for baby products, usually I'd head over to that particular aisle in a store to find vaseline and baby wipes.
not a mum yet but thanks for the great review!
This sounds fantastic! I always shared baby products with my little ones when they were small. I miss those days! A great soap is an absolute must. Great post Baby Love!
Nice products!
This soap sounds amazing!
Wow, I'm amazed that a soap could actually help with eczema. I don't really use any of my kids stuff, but have stolen the odd organic baby moisturizer in the past ;)
Lily - Mineral makeup Junkie!!!
I haven't kids yet but I am a little reluctant because the soap make my skin dry !!!
I peresonally don't really use soap but it looks good! At least it's mild coz for kids!
I am so guilty of snatching all the baby products for myself as well. I do use them on the boys sometimes, but they usually end up more on me ;)... I love this soap. The only soap I can ever use is DOVE for sensitive skin. I was scared to try something new since my skin is supr sensitive. This worked great, and left my skin smooth and blotch free ;)! My hubby used it when we ran out of dove for a few days, and he also liked it. The smell is nice and not very strong. I love lavender! I used it on the boys a few times, and had it on the sink so they washed thier hands with it sometimes. It worked nice on them, they were super soft after the tubby when I used it. It's nice for just hand washing too. I really liked it alot.
