ELEMIS TRI-ENZYME RESURFACING FACIAL WASH!
Hello ladies, Eleni here!
I'm lucky enough to have tried hundreds of beauty product brands. When I was a teenager I saved all my money and spent it on Chanel, Guerlain and Givenchy. Some months that my savings weren't that great, I still spent everything I had on Clinique, the Body Shop and L'Oreal. My bathroom has always looked like a shrine to beauty products (and also a shrine to being broke). I did not care about how much money I had to spend in order to become the proud owner of my precious new obsessions. To this day, I'm still proud to have been the only girl in my high school that was using Givenchy eye shadow.
But the Gods have shown mercy to me and when I was 23, Cosmopolitan magazine hired me. Boxes of cosmetics going around under my nose and I could pick whatever I wanted! What would a normal girl do? Stop buying cosmetics you'd assume. But no, not me. What happened was that I just became pickier! I could try whatever I wanted, but all I wanted was that limited edition Clarins shampoo that coincidentally was sold out. Now that I'm older I've stopped being such a brat. I will try everything that I am given and be absolutely objective about it without whining that it's not the brand or the product I was dreaming to get. But that doesn't mean I have put my product obsessions aside - and these obsessions have not been created by advertising or vanity, they have been created solely by the way my first encounter with a product felt.
I will never forget what YSL mascara smells like, how E. Coudray body cream feels and how Shu Uemura liquid eyeliner applies on your eyes. And I'll go crazy if they ever discontinue the Clarins gentle care roll-on deodorant, the Molton Brown Mer-rouge hair hydramask or the L'Occitane almond firming cream.
So there, I have listed my obsessions, there are a few more, but not many - and as years go by it becomes harder for me to add new things to the list.
This Christmas, Elemis has sent me their holiday set - a very pretty silver cosmetics bag that contained an Elemis Tri-Enzyme Resurfacing Facial Wash, an Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream, an Elemis Pro-Collagen Quartz Lift Serum, an Elemis Tri-Enzyme Resurfacing Gel Mask sample and an Elemis Tri-Enzyme Resurfacing Night Cream sample. As expected, all of the products were of exceptional quality, something that Elemis is very well known for.
But there was one product, the Elemis Tri-Enzyme Resurfacing Facial Wash that was love at first use!
I'll just say one thing: it made the list.
It has a very rich soapy smell - it smells clean! But also, from its smell you can tell that it is a very rich cleanser. You only need to use a tiny amount and it lathers up to a luxurious foamy layer on your face and neck. The best part is that you can feel this product work. Although it does not really tingle because it's very milky, moisturizing and not acidy at all, if you leave it on for a bit it feels like a million tiny hands are gently scrubbing your face. The result is perfectly clean and renewed skin with increased moisture, radiance and elasticity! Elemis has once again worked its magic and collected amazing, rare ingredients that are combined in an ideal analogy in this facial wash. In Elemis own words:
"Revolutionary Tri-Enzyme technology is the catalyst in this safe and effective resurfacing formulation. Galactoarabinan, a Polysaccharide, enhances the non-abrasive exfoliation process, whilst Brazilian Babussu Oil replenishes moisture. Moringa protects the skin against environmental damage, whilst White Truffle, Poria Cocos, soothes and supports the skin’s natural micro flora."
I'm not a chemist, so probably not qualified enough to explain the above description any further.
But I'm qualified enough to tell you that every time I get in my shower and take a look at my Elemis facial wash bottle, I measure how much is left, dreading the day that it will be over. As a result of this fear I have stopped washing my face on a daily basis.
Just kidding.
Not.
I hope that some of you have tried this facial wash so it can be confirmed that it is out of this world amazing and I can stop sounding like a crazy person!
What do you ladies think of Elemis?

LOL! Always a delight when you're in the house Eleni!I haven't tried anything from this line but you do have amazing skin and yes,you do know your way though the maze of plastic-bottles out there so I'd love to give it a try...penciling it in :)The ingredients and description sound positively luscious and very inspiring!
I am totally getting this! You had me at the part where you described it like "a million tiny hands are gently scrubbing your face".
this sounds like a product fit for a king, with the description you provided i don't know who would be able to resist this. i'm on my way to check out their products!

I need some new face wash, and I am taking your advice and hopefully getting this! It sounds like an amazing product. Thanks.

Wow, this facial cleanser sounds pretty impressive Eleni! To get you hot under the collar it had want to be packing some serious beauty cred! It sounds like it might be useful for my Winter skin regime when I revert to creamier based cleansers. Great review! I loved the part where you said it felt like a thousand hands were washing your face!
Sounds like a wonderful cleanser, Eleni! I really enjoyed reading about your cosmetic favorites and the time you spent at Cosmo in your 20s. You should write more about it!I remember my aunt applying YSL mascara on me when I was 7, before dance recitals, and the Molton Brown hairmasque sounds great; I mean amino acids, vitamins and dulse sea extracts?!

I love trying new face cleansers. Before I'm even half way finished my current bottle, I'm already on the hunt for my next "new" favorite. But when it comes to my YSL mascara...I think I would rather offer up my first born than switch brands. I guess it's a good thing I never had children! ;-)
Sounds like a amazing face wash, i love moisturizing and foamy cleansers. Curently i am using Cosminology one an so far i like it.
ive never heard of this brand!! but in a world where i have aweful skin .. my body// features makes me look 16.. acne doesnt help.. iam always looking for yummy amazing new face stuff!! =D
Because this works out to about $70 + postage for me I doubt I'll be buying it, but definitely an interesting read.
... sanity is relative, insanity is quantum mechanics ...
wow, that sounds great!
sounds like a great product but probably a bit too costly for me +postage!
Oh champ, I hope that you begin to feel better very soon! Hate winter and the things it does to us!
where can i find this nice facial cleanser? (any stores carry it besides online?) it sounds wonderful! i have never heard of the brand.
Whoa, Eleni, you make that sound absolutely impossible to pass up =P Thank you for listing some other favorites, too!
hmm i've never used this brand before but my friend uses it.
Sounds delish. I like the sound of the babassu oil, I will have to look into this range more (I am a chemist - the research kind, lol, so I do care about ingredients).
Lily - Mineral makeup Junkie!!!
It's great that you've found such an awesome product that stands out among all the ones you get to try! It certainly says something for this line, which I've never tried. I'll have to give it a second look now for sure!
Eleni, I hope I'll be lucky enough to try it! I'd give you a report for sure.
The products looks amazing! Give us your review Eleni!
I love this face wash, it's amazing! Their Gentle Rose exfoliator is pretty good too, I'd use it just for the lovely scent.

I have never used this brand !
It is called a "tri" enzyme wash. What enzymes are they? I think it's important to know, since many people are allergic to certain ingredients. I'm also wondering how gentle this wash is, over exfoliation even if its from an enzyme can strip the skin which some people call the "clean feeling". I would have to check out the ingredients before getting this cleanser.
This sounds like a great product. Did you like any of the other skin care products or were they not as impressive as this?
i havent tried Elemis but i am with you on trying every beauty product that goes my way :) I love trying anything and everything! thankfully, i am not so picky yet as i havent found my "holy grail" items yet! as far as cleansers go, I am in love with Philosophy's Purity- it makes me feel extra clean (which is great for my combo skin)!
i would love trying it! the bottle alone looks so luxurious..
I went to the Elemis website because I was very intrgued about this line. One of my all time favorite cleansers has a tri enzyme complex. However, when it comes to products like this I like to be able to try it before I spend $47 for a 6.8 ounce cleanser.
I'm madly in love with this line, although everytime I order from them, their prices make me flinch. So far, I've only tried the Spa Body products. I like to mix a bit of the Nourishing Milk Bath with the Lime and Ginger Salt Glow for the best scrub, ever. The Frangipani Monoi Moisture Melt is the finest, most gorgeously scented thing I've ever put on my skin! This is a top notch, albeit pricey line, and I'm definitely am going to give the Tri-Enzyme cleanser a try.
This is sooo funny! I just searched "elemis" on meg's the other day and was dismayed that I didn't find much. I only have one product- their camellia oil. I was a little disappointed because it is not pure camellia oil- it is mixed with almond oil. Sneaky, sneaky! I have had the product for ages and never used it- the bottle was so beautiful- I thought it was just too pretty and special to actually use daily. I just put in on today for the first time. They say it is very good for stretchmarks, and I am hoping it will help with some scarring on my legs instead. Does anyone know if it would be a good idea to use camellia/almond oil on my face? I am always looking for a nice, light mosturizer... I like that the oil absorbs so fast, it would be great to put on quickly before makeup application... Eleni, I can't review it yet, since I just used it for the first time today, but I will let you know about it if it stands out in any way!
This sounds really great. I've never heard of this brand and unfortunately, it's a little out of my price range. I'm happy that a couple of you ladies are loving it though :)
interesting product! i have personally never heard of this specific line or wash, but might give it a little try! :D
I should try this sometime!
Elemis has really great products although a bit pricey. Their kits are a great value. But dollar for dollar, I think Babor stands as the best value.
this facial wash sounds Divine!! I love "clean" scents and the rich creamy lather makes me want to swoon!!One of my top 10 beauty products is a wonderful facial cleanser, I have to try Elemis
I have been looking for a new face wash (and just emailed sephora to find out some info). I am looking for a face wash that does not contain sodium laureth sulfate or silicones....I will have to look at this company and find out if they are using any of these ingredients.thanks for showing us some of the products on your list....I hope you tell us your whole list in time :)
I've never heard of this company, but I'll have to check it out. My face has been acting crazy lately, and I think it's time for a cleanser upgrade.
I have far to many facial washes but this sure does look lovely :) Good Brand to :)
I have so many facial washes too but this sounds even better!
You nearly made me throw away my facial wash which I love and get this one ;)
Sounds like a great cleanser, but I've already found my HG facial cleanser:)
I think this looks great. But personally I prefer making homemade facial masks. They're good for your skin because they're all natural and they're much cheaper to make.
I have had my eye on Elemis products for awhile now but have still yet to try them. I hadn't spotted this one but i'll put it on my wishlist for sure! thanks for the review! :) x
I wrote about the wonderful Lime and Ginger Scrub along with the milk bath from Elemis a while a back. Wonderful. I have liked everything thing I tried of theirs except the Iothermie. That was a complete and total waste of over $600. Even though they promised refunds, no one can get one. Several of us tried to get our money back on that and not one succeeded. Because of that problem, my suggestion is try small and if you like it, buy it big. If not you haven't lost much.

Now this I need. I have to exfoliate alot when Im tanning. But my face always seems to get this buildup of skin cells on it. i use scrub all the time but its just not enough, this sounds like it might do the trick!Im saving up now for new night cream and stuff. Now that im living off student loads I have to re evaluate my spending...
Tan is Love
sounds like a really rich cleanser that's formulated for anti-aging... I guess it wouldn't work on combination skins?
Oh this sounds simply amazing. I would love to buy it but I can't afford the price tag. Maybe I can convince someone who loves me very much to buy it for me so I don't have to feel guilty (mom? are you listening?).

This facial wash costs more than my usual facial washes, so I don't think I will be getting it in the short term. The products do seem good so maybe I will think about them when I am looking to give myself a really good treat.
I want a million tiny hands scrubbing my face!

It really does sounds great, but over my budget. :(
I'm jealous of your bathroom, as you were growing up. Wish I had all those products to play with. I still can't justify super expensive, high-end products, so I pick and choose what to splurge on and unfortunately, I don't think this will be it. I'd prefer an amazing moisturizer.
