PRIVE CONCEPT VERT REJUVENATING PURE CONDITIONER!
Sweetassgal here having quite the difficult time following Meg's piece on the tragic demise of Ms. Murphy and our nation of "Club Med" devotees. Wow...what a powerful piece of journalism that was. I intentionally use the word "journalism" and not "blogging" because Merriam Webster defines journalism in section 2.c as "writing designed to appeal to current popular taste or public interest" and though we typically blog about makeup, I truly believe that piece transcended blogging and went straight to respectable journalism. God love you Meg for being the woman you are and having the guts, humor and humility to put it all out there.
For me, times of tragedy and especially of death bring upon strong feelings of reflection and self assessment. The notion that today could be my last, the thought that addiction could over come me as well, the possibility that these very words I type in just seconds could be the last record of my thoughts, hopes and dreams. I am no better than the wretch dying in the streets of heroine addiction and no worse than the most pious of men eschewing all of the trappings of this world. We are all human and as such are capable of falling from grace and making bad decisions that literally could mean the end of our lives. Considering the indefinite period of time we are all given on this earth how do we cope with the inevitable tragedies and heartaches that pepper our existence? Simply put...We do the best we can.
I always feel better about myself and my outlook on life when I think outside my own pities and think of the greater good. Volunteering at the animal shelter, making a meal or a special quilt for my family, finding great new natural and green friendly products to share with the bright and beautiful women of Megsmakeup.com That's my coping mechanism and it helps me get through life's little hurdles and come out with a smile. It may sound basic but writing Green Chi Tuesdays and sharing make up love that is good for the earth is a buzz NO pill can provide! That's why it absolutely thrills me when I find products in a line that I can exclaim, without hesitation...THIS STUFF JUST ROCKS!!!!
Prive Concept Vert Rejuvenating Pure Conditioner is the PERFECT counterpart to the flat out amazing Prive Concept Shampoo! There is NOTHING, I repeat nothing I don't LOVE about this dynamic duo. Adding to last weeks review I worked in the conditioner and spent one more week without any extra product at all! I even went to my company’s holiday party that way. I'm devoted ladies...a la muerte!
Like the shampoo this conditioner needs very, very little to work. I'm literally talking a nickel sized amount for my nearly shoulder length hair. Too much and you may be left with a case of the oilies. The scent is so beautifully herbal without being sickly or overpowering AT ALL and you'll love how it just tickles your senses. I was able to run my comb through my hair with ease and no tugging at nasty tangles. A warm rinse followed by a cool one and it was off to air dry for the day. All day and even into the second I had soft hair, relaxed definition and I'll admit a little frizzing around the top of my head which is where I tend to play with my hair the most. Touching = frizzing so keep your hands OUT of your curly hair if you can help it. Ahem...that goes for you too boys! My husband knows better than to even THINK of touching my hair during its "critical drying phase"! Hands off Bucko!!!
Next I'm going to try Prive's Curl Activating Crème that is meant to battle just those frizzies I was talking about to see if it's a Prive Trifecta for me. Luckily there are at least 6 salons in the Roseville / Granite Bay area that carry the line so I can pop in after the holidays and check it out for a review in 2010! Wow...2010. Weren't we supposed to be driving flying cars and battling the Resistance for inter-planetary domination by now? No thanks. I'll take a world that gives me the natural brilliance of Laurent D from Prive packaged up in recyclable and nasty chem-free perfection instead.
One interesting result of my two week test...I've noticed as I'm showering and combing out my hair that I'm losing less than I was previously. It's quite noticeable for me (sorry for the grody description pending) because I don't want to clog up my drain so I pull the loose ends from my hair and ball them up with what comes out of my comb and slap it on the wet shower door until I finish and can throw it away. I'm usually staring at what looks to be a small drowned but lovely blonde highlighted vermin. Now it just looks like a small hair pinwheel. Could I be the only one experiencing that? I hope not because the more hair I can keep in my head the better!
I know this is spendy but honestly, if you compare the $14 I was paying on my last conditioner which required 4 or 5 BIG pumps to fully condition then comparatively speaking I don't think it works out to much more money. Plus the added warm fuzzy of knowing I can bring back the bottle for recycling helps me feel better about myself by helping the world. Another one of those pesky little coping mechanisms I was talking about. If I can have beautiful hair (and more of it) while still feeling like I'm making a difference then I say why the hell NOT! GLAM ON!!
You really have to try this! If this didn't piece convince you to then how about raves from Oprah, WWD, Allure, InStyle, Self and Bazaar as "Editor's Favorite's"

Ooh Sweetassgal this looks amazing! I love the idea of something so good for the environment working small wonders in our hair. Wonderful review! And you're right when you say looking after yourself and concentrating on you and your influence on this world is a great way to cope with tragedies. You're a smart lady. : ] <3
Beautifully written =) Thanks!
Thanks for another great review and making me lemm products from this line even more!
No, you are not the only one, I always have a lovely brunette gremlin in the shower with me until I get out.
hmmmm this is very tempting, i'm not usually a conditioner girl.. since i already have to do a whole lot of scrubbing and washing when i wash my hair i always forget!

THanks for the article. This looks great.
like i said with the shampoo.. you sold me with the picture!!! =D this looks yummy yummy!! iam going to definatly keep my eyes open for this one!
thanks for an excellent review, conditioner is a must for me,i'll look out for this product
i slap my sheddings on the tile wall!!! hahah.... it never ceases to amaze me how much hair comes out (it's usually worse when i have a flair up of my psoriasis). i was all sorts of interested in this when you reviewed the shampoo... but now i'm completely on board. i have to be careful w/ingredients because of the psoriasis i get on my scalp... but i think this might be something i HAVE to try.
oooh you make me so want to try this!!! i wonder if my salon carries it, will check next time i go. Thanks for your interesting post. I have curly hair that gets the frizzies too, and am always switching my hair stuff to find the perfect one, no luck yet though i have some thinks i like enough, just not that wow factor like you are talking about.
makeup makeup makeup!!!!!!!
I do that too! With my 'sheddings'. I totally stick it to the wall and my hasband thinks it's so gross. But it's far grosser to have it swirling around your feet, or clogging your drain, or having to pick it up later when it's all goopy with soap residue! So glad someone else thinks like I do!!
this looks great! I always love your posts lol. I used to put all my fallen-out-shower-hair on the wall of the shower too before I cut it all off - my dad was always getting mad that my long locks were constantly clogging the drain.
Britt♥
I think everyone sticks it to the wall. what i hate is when i go for the 2 point shot to the trash from inside the shower and it misses the bin and stick to the wall again...did anyone else notice the preventing of hair loss?
I stick my fallen hair on the shower wall also! My hubby gets really grosses out, usually I get most of it cleaned up before he ever sees how much actually accumulates. I'm really suprised I'm not bald actually. But I figure, I only wash my hair every other day, so that's probably why it seems there is so much (I don't brush my hair either, except right out of the shower after washing it).

How funny that I'm feeling like less of a freak for my hair disposal habit. Like everyone else it sicks my husband out too so I try to toss it before he see's it. And Megken...I've done the "hit the wall...missed the trash" splat too!
Love, hugs and shoes...Angie
haha, i shed a lot of hair and i try to flush it in a toilet, which is probably a bad idea considering I lose lots of hair. I tried some hair products and even a fancy laser brush but i still lose it. nice to know that this product may help with hair loss!
Is this great for all hair types or just curly hair? The review was so great I want to try it but don't really have curly hair. The idea of using something and not having to dry my hair, just fluff and go is a concept that seems impossible for me. If this is for my hair type maybe it will do the trick. Thanks sweetassgal :)
Style may be on the surface, but you can be deep and still have some - Clarissa Gough
sounds like a great product! how much is this?
I really want to try this, I love how it is easy on the environment (more companies need to follow suit). I also think its great that you can return the empty bottle for recycling!!
I too have the so-much-hair-falling-out-I'm-scared-to-look-in-the-mirror-for-fear-that-I-may-now-be-bald issues. I've never tried to ball it up and stick it to the shower wall, though...how does it stick up there? I mean, occasionally there's a single strand or two that sticks to the wall, but a whole hair ball??? I just let mine go into the drain area and pretend it's not from me, and my husband cleans it out every couple of days (nice of him, I know, but I do basically every other household chore, so don't feel too bad for him!).
thanks for the review! this looks like such a great product (:
Environmentally friendly are key words for me, love that so many companies are going green and thinking about the negative effects their products may have on the environment. Great find!
Holy crap! I can't even read about hair in the tub without gagging. I have to take mine out with a paper towel after and can't even look when I do! Can't even write about that either. Gagged through most of the hair talk. We all have our weaknesses. This is one of mine. GAG.Moving on, the PRIVE conditioner is hitting the mark completely in the most wonderful, most healthy, most desirable, most wonderful results conditioner! The smell is just so PLEASANT! Every time I inhale it I can't wait to inhale the smell again! I wish it came in a body lotion! Sometimes I put a little squirt on my hand just so I can smell it again! LOL!!!! I like it that much!I'll say this again, the combo of the two products (shampoo & conditioner) has made my hair texture so silky soft! I love to feel my hair and I constantly tell my husband..."FEEL THIS!" and he does the first time and the 100th time! Every time he says the same thing "Wow! Your hair really does feel smooth!" I think the CONCEPT VERT CONDITIONER is the product of the future -- the product that is going to catch on as THE answer to so many good hair results!SweetAssGal...as always, you wrote a beautiful post and one that hit me right in the solar plexus! Thank you for your follow-up from Meg's post. Your heart is always at the heart of your words! And how beautiful your heart is lady!

Great follow-up to your post on the shampoo. I can't wait to here how the curl activating creme works.
Thanks for the great article. Sounds great and it was beautifully written...more than a review! Wonderful!!
Hi Girls,Debi from Prive here again! Thanks for the wonderful comments. To comment on the post asking if it works on straight hair the answer is yes! I have very straight hair and use Concept Vert Shampoo and the Conditioner daily. In addition, my hair is oily and CV does not add oiliness to my hair or weigh it down at all. I am not a fan of blow drying my hair, so usually I "wash and go" and my hair looks and feels great all day! Thanks for the review. Interesting article.
I really like this conditioner. You have to be very light on the button that shoots out the product or you will end up with a handful. Once I got that down, I use about a dime size amount for my long dry hair. I have not noticed any increase or decrease in hair loss. I did have my ends trimmed a few days ago and the stylist said my hair was in excellent condition, health and thick.
Looks great and the article is great too
I would love to own this (& of course the shampoo), if only I can find a way of buying them!
I really want to try this, it sounds amazing!

i think i found a relplacement for my conditioner lying in my bathroom, it's not doing a good job... i'm gona try this one.
I would like to try this - it sounds fantastic as does the shampoo. I use (waste?) so much conditioner whenever I do condition because I feel like I need a ton to get the job done. I like that a tiny bit goes a very long way and it actually works. I also like that this is environmentally friendly. It's actually not that much more expensive than any other salon brand which is fantastic!
I'm always looking for products that will stop my hair from frizzing, so I'm definitely trying this if I manage to get my hands on it!
My hair is always super frizzy at the ends (think triangle), so I'm always on the look out for products to help! Most of the time I don't have too much luck trying new conditioners, but this review was glowing!
You had me interested with your last review on the shampoo and now I want this set even more. It is spendy but I have to use a lot of conditioner so if this really only takes a nickle sized amount, it might be worthwhile...money-wise. I have very frizzy hair, which is half curly and half wavy. I hope I can try this soon.

You're last review on this brand really made me want to try it! I still do! Ive been on the roaad for a while but im keeping my eyes open! its a beautiful container and the review makes it sound wonderful! And since my hair is frizzy and curly i can't wait to try it!
Tan is Love
Wow, I'm seriously checking this stuff out. Lately I have been creeped out by the feeling of residue on my hair. This product sounds like it is good all around. Thanks for the post! (PS ...I can't figure out how to 'shop' on the link. I don't see anything on the site that has prices, cart etc.) ???
sounds neat!:)

I was looking for a great conditioner for curly hair. I have a very dry scalp though, so it's hard finding something that works for a long time. Usually products seem like they're working with my hair, but in the long run, it's a completely different story...
I swear I was perfectly happy with my cheapo shampoo/conditioner from the drugstore before I joined Meg's! haha yet another amazing conditioner to tempt me... but unfortunately my empty wallet speaks louder than even you beauties!:(
xoxo
I just made a change in my hair routine and it is truly amazing how little you need of a quality hair product in comparison to the drugstore brands.
Enviornmentally friendly and good for my hair? Now that is a product for me!

That sounds great! I love stuff that's good for the earth. :D
I love Green Product but i don't need conditioner
Diamond are Girl Best Friend !!!
Looks wonderful.

I'd love to try this, it sounds very promising. I'm trying to grow my hair out after getting it chopped off, but it keeps breaking. Maybe this will work for my hair..
Krysta<3
The idea of it being so 'green' is really appealing, and i'd love a conditioner that could fully cope with tangles (my hair gets awful sheep-knots when i air-dry it ) but i am too poor to afford it, even if you do only need a tiny amount :( i'm stuck with budget haircare.
i love this :D
Not sure if this would work for me as I tend to get oily... one of the things I hate about natural conditioners/shampoos is that they don't tend to combat the oilies as well as the icky chemical versions.
