CRYSTALIFT WINNER! BROOKLYN007 WE HOPE THIS HELPS WITH YOUR CONFIDENCE!
Meg here and I would like to congratulate Brooklyn007 on winning the Crystalift Contest!
There were so many awesome entries! You ladies really don't make it easy! The word "CONFIDENCE" is what really resonated with me. It's just ludicrous how we hide from a zit or bad hair or having a "fat day."
We all get these feelings from time to time but when it starts to affect our daily life there can be nothing worse.
My mother had a spot on her face, she picked at it daily and it helped make her insane (I swear it contributed.) Because of this spot she did not leave her bathroom for 2 years. No joke. So I am all-too familiar with how you interpret your appearance affecting your life.
Here is the paragraph that Brooklyn007 wrote that made me decide to try and brighten her holiday with the amazing Crystalift...I want the confidence to lift my face up proudly, instead of hiding it in the shadows. I want the confidence to go swimming! (I haven't been swimming in a while b/c of the fear of my makeup coming off, & people seeing my "real" face. Did I mention I live by an ocean!?) I want the confidence to be able to continue going to hot yoga or running. (I often skip workouts b/c I fear I will sweat off my makeup.) I want the confidence to look people in the face when they talk to me, instead of trying to look where they can't see my scars. I want to sit on whatever side of the restaurant booth that I want, instead of having to pick which side of my face to face out to the public. (Which side is the better of two evils…) I want the confidence to talk to people without having to worry if they're going to ask, "What's wrong with your face?" (It's happened on more than one occasion.) I want the confidence to feel normal, and not like some creature to be gawked upon. I really could go on and on, so I'll close with one more. I want the confidence to feel sexy and beautiful for myself and for my husband.
All of your submissions were just great and this was a very hard task! Brooklyn007-you better be prepared to work hard for us girl! We want some before and after photos! A huge thanks to Crystalift for this amazing give-away.
For those of you that want micro-dermabrasion at home, anytime and for less then price of one dermatologist visit then treat yourself to a Crystalift. It has become a lifesaver for so many women.
Confidence=Lifesaver? I hope we can help you go for that swim Miss Brooklyn007!
When you're feeling small how do you get that confidence level up?

Congrats Brooklyn007! I'm really excited to see how this works out for you. I am going through a bad bout of acne right now and am really curious if something like this would help it. Looking forward to your review and pictures!

OH MY GOODNESS!!! I'm at work right now, and I'm trying to hold back the tears of joy!!! What the heck, let the floodgates go! I just ran around the office telling everybody! Meg, you needn't worry about those angel points. I believe in karma, and I do think that you will get back boatloads of the good fortune that you give to all of us. Well, you better, or I'll have a personal talk with karma myself! :) Thank you so much! Thank you, Crystalift. Thank you, Meg. I am so grateful. I feel hopeful. I feel humbled. I'm going to start on those before pics tonight! Wow. Possibly the only thing that could trump this right now is my husband's arrival home on Friday from some time away for work! (He's in the Navy. :)) I can't wait to tell him!
Yay for military husbands! Mine's in the Army National Guard. :)

I am happy for you, microdermabrasion should improve your acne significantly. I've had it done many times, I've gone from totally clogged pores to perfect skin. Try the tea tree oil!!! Let us know. Take it easy and get in the habit of avoiding touching your face. Isnt Megsmakup a blessing? Life is good.
congrats brooklyn007!! what a wonderful gift to start off the holiday season!! being in the industry....i see all to often (myself included...or even especially!!) how even just a ''simple'' thing like a breakout can hinder one's self confidence....when we all know we are more than just what is visible on the outside. I enjoy watching a clients transformation...not only in their skin...but also their overall outlook & confidence as their skin clears & they are proud of their appearance. Of course, I can't wait to watch as your confidence grows as well! We all know how beautiful you are.....its time for you to feel that way!! :) ps - (if you lived closer...I definitely would love to help you with your skin!! good luck!!)

Congrats Brooklyn007! I hope this helps you! I am glad someone that really needed it won it! I can't wait to see the before and afters and hear how it worked for you. Good luck!!
Congratulations! Can't wait to hear about your results!
Congrats! I just tried a different microdermabrasion at home last night for the first time and I was totally amazed at what it did for my skin. Let us know how this product works out.
Ok firstly Congrats Brooklyn007 !!! The next thing I'm going to say some of you may think I'm being mean but I'm not I just want to ask why is it that brooklyn007 has won the last 3 contests ??? I hate to say this because it does sound mean but it almost appears as if it's a fix !!! Either that or she is extremely lucky !!!! I'm sorry if this offends and I'm really not at all bitter I hope brooklyn007 enjoys her prize it just seams a bit odd to me that one person keeps winning. Sorry I have to say what I feel I'm not going to be false !!! Hope I haven't upset you brooklyn007.
Philogene I am going to check this right now. I was not aware Brooklyn007 has won the last 3 contests and it is in no way a fix. I picked her myself. We take different turns over here picking who wins and we did not compare notes. Obviously, we should have. There is a lot going on on this side and it is hard to stay on top of everything. I feel that her submission was the best one.
Philogene-I can assure you that I picked Brooklyn to win the Jonathan contest. No one told me to choose her. I do not know her. But I felt that the story was the funniest and well written. She is super lucky and super smart!!
Hi Meg and thanks for answering :-) Maybe you should consider comparing notes next time in the interest of fairness and then it won't look like it's a fix, sorry if that's sounds harsh but it's a rule of mine to always speak the truth and if your on here as much as I am then you can't help but notice who wins the contests lol !!! x x
We will be checking everything now with a fine tooth comb.
Meg, you picked the right person to win the Crystalift. You did it fair and right bc you voted your heart.
Meg, you totally picked the right person. I really wanted the crystalift for my friend, but, after reading Brooklyn007 and knowing exactly how she feels from my own history, I am totally glad you picked Brooklyn007.Congrats Brooklyn007, you're a beautiful women and you deserve to feel confidence. This is a true merry Xmas.
Thank you everyone! I appreciate your words of encouragement and kindness. I am looking forward to documenting and sharing the process! As for the question of this being "fixed"... I am a little hurt at the accusation. It is true that I've won a few contests, but I haven't won all of them (e.g. "who is you favorite heroine/fairytale character" to win the tinted lipbalm...which looked awesome!). I don't even try to enter all of them. I feel blessed that I have won what I have won, & I feel like I have won fairly. I believe that I have won, b/c of my writing skills and b/c of my personal story. You will be seeing before and after photos, so my "real" face will be revealed to all; maybe that will make you feel a little better. Anyhow, my connection to megsmakeup.com is that of a regular Meghead. I've never met Meg or any of the writers, neither have I ever spoken to any of them on the phone. I live on the complete other side of the United States--the other coast! Anyway, even though I know that I do NOT have to defend myself in any way, I thought that I should make a statement. Thank you.
YAY! congrats! confidence is something i struggle w/ too. i force myself to be confident w/ makeup. you cant be shy with a bold red lip. just doesnt work.

OK Brooklyn007 My statement was not a Sour statement at all and was addressed to Meg not you !!!!! I have never ever been on any forum that the same person has won 3 contests ever so to me this looked like a fix !!!!! You won the Shower filter, then you won the Cosminology Concealer for your skin problems and now this for the same reason so to me this doesn't seem right or fair. I'm sorry if this has upset you and that was not and still is not my intention as I stated in my first post !!!! I am not a brown nose take that as you will and I am not false or a lair, so I will stand up for what I believe in and what I think isn't right no matter what the consequences. If you think that I am saying this because I didn't win then thats your choice but I have said this because to me it's unfair and I will not be false and just go along with it !!! I hope you enjoy your prize !!!
Philogene, IMMEDIATELY after posting my comment, I edited some of the words that I used (i.e. sour). I thought they were unfair, and I used them b/c I was speaking from a hurt place. You must not have noticed that. Yes, I won 3 contests, but they were not 3 in a row. Nobody told me that I wasn't allowed to enter this contest, so I entered it. I haven't even received the shower filter due to people (including myself) being out of town, me not keeping up with the site for a while, etc. That contest was in August/September, I believe. I presently do not have the filter in my posession. Anyway, I know you're upset. I also know that I did not do anything wrong. You know, a few hours ago I felt so excited! Now, I just feel really down.
Congrats Brooklyn007......I cannot wait to see your before and after pics! and maybe you can take your new machine and come visit all of us and give us facials (lol).I must tell you that you look amazing in your profile picture so i'm sure you must use some great makeup if you have the issues that i've read about. i'd love to see your pics bc i can't wait to see what this does for you. I'm going to a derm in january to get a peel (which scares the bejesus out of me) bc i have melasma. I can totally understand where you come from bc people say its not so bad and then someone will come up to me and say you have dirt all over your forehead---ARGH!!!keep me posted and can't wait to see ;)
Thanks for the well wishes! (My profile pic isn't me. I haven't been able to upload a real pic of me b/c the files are too big. That's actually a photo of Catherine Zeta Jones! :)) Good luck with your peel!!! I wanted to get series but it was so expensive! I can't believe insurance doesn't cover it.
Congrats, I really, really hope it will be a turning point for you! I can really relate to a lot of what you wrote, especially the not wanting to go swimming part but that's always been because I can't swim because I never learnt because I was so very self conscious about all my body hair that I just became a solid rock that sank.
Brooklyn007 I'm truly sorry if what I have posted here has upset you and made you feel down that wasn't my intention at all !!!! My post was to ask why the same person won 3 contests and Meg answered this. I'm sorry and I really hope you enjoy your prize and I hope it works for you truly I do, I know what it's like to have skin problems as I've had them all my life and I understand how you feel as I have never learnt to swin because of my makeup coming off and I live by the ocean too. This product couldn't help my skin problem as I need laser treatment for that but I really hope it helps yours !! X x
You know, I do understand your point, Philogene. I just felt like, the way the point was presented, I was being personally attacked. It did make me upset. Anyhow, it's all water under the bridge now. No hard feelings. :)
Congrats on the win Brooklyn007. ENjoy the product and looking forward to a review:)
Congrats Brooklyn007! You are super lucky and enjoy what you have won. :)
hmm when im feeling down on myself i just think about the other millions of exponentially worst things that can happen. and then it doesnt seem so terrible. it works for me it may not for others. oh i also try to wear one of my favorite things... like my favorite shoes or my favorite shirt or pants or whatever it may be. little things like that can impact ur day immensely. Dress like you want to feel.
Congratulations Brooklyn! I'm hoping that the Crystalift helps you, and I'm looking forward to reading about your experience with it. I'd like to get one of them, but right now it's just not in the budget! Get your confidence up, girl - you are a beautiful person, even though I have no idea what you look like.
Carole
Congrats! You truly deserve it! My confidence has been boosted by finally ginding a foundation that maes me loo great! I dont have to worry about the lighting, if Ive turned oily, if the color matches! I feel free!

Congrats, winner! I didn't even know about or participate in any of these contests mentioned, but I wanted to throw something out there: I understand philogene's point that it seems weird that the same person would win a disproportionate amount of contests, and if it was somehow 'fixed' then of course that's not right... But the mere fact that someone wins multiple contests doesn't mean it's not fair. Meg and her pals should not have to compare notes and eliminate past winners, because wouldn't that be UNfair to Brooklyn? Fairness, to me, is that the best person wins. In order for the best person to win, each contest should probably be judged independently. I wouldn't want to win a contest just because all the people above me were disqualified; I'd want to win because I was the best. If Meg thinks it's better for her website to have multiple winners so they can spread the word around the world faster, then that's one thing and totally understandable and she could definitely set a contest entry limit (like radio contests do -- one win in 30 days). But if not, and if she truly wants the most deserving person to win, then the current system seems perfect. P.S. That was in no way meant against philogene, because I think she had a legitimate question. I just wanted to provide an alternative view. :)
Okay, this is somewhat off-topic -- which might actually be a good thing -- but I have a question for PunkeyDew: What foundation have you found that you love? I am going through some kind of a phase where I just can't seem to find a foundation that works on my oily skin! So I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!!
erica I finally gave in an ordered the cosminology meral foundation and it really IS as fabulous as they say! I was lucky enough to get it when it was 50 percent off. And I recieved it in 2 days! It came quickly enough that I was able to try it out 2 days and fall magically in love with it enough to order another in time before the discount was up! We still get 15 percent off everyday with code: MEG and it is SOO worth it! I have EXTREMELY oily skin and have always wore mineral makeup. With the cosminology foundation I only had to touch up my nose after 8 hours! Defintally try it, its pricey but IMO worth it for sure. I just giggle with glee everytime I apply my makeup in the morning this week because i look GREAT!

You've convinced me, only someone else with oily skin can understand the challenges we face when buying a foundation. If it works half as well as you say, I don't even care that I missed the 50% off sale. I'm ordering some tonight, and thanks for the review!!
Oh my gosh! I REALLY wanted to get that, but I just couldn't justify the purchase b/c I had just ordered some Everyday Minerals (which has been pretty "blah" for me lately; I love the value, and such, but it hasn't been clicking like it did when I first tried it). I have to wait until I finish one damned container of foundation, but then I HAVE to get the Cosminology foundation! I'm so glad you posted about it, Punkeydew!
Congrats Brookly007. I hope this will make a difference. I like the idea that no one can win more than one contest per (you fill in the blank - what's fair?). I actually chose not to enter this contest. I was really moved when I read some of the submissions from Meg-kettes who expressed problems and experiences that far outweighed my large pores and "zitkles" (yes that lovely time of life when lines and wrinkles start to form and you still get zits).
Congrats, Brooklyn! I really hope you enjoy the Crystallift, and that it does you a world of good.
This site is amazing - I keep finding new stuff on it!
Congratulations! You truly deserve it. Please let us know how it works for you!
Congratulations! I really hope this product works out for you :)

Wow..reading her submission made me sad. I'm glad she won it. I surround myself with positive people who think I"m awesome and beautiful, and just having them around makes me feel better on not-so-great days.
http://ediblelove.wordpress.com/
hm..after reading people's comments, I have to say Philogene has a valid concern. and i'm glad meg is looking into it, however I do think the best writing should always win--fairness doesn't necessarily mean taking turns with winners.
http://ediblelove.wordpress.com/
I agree with this 100%.There was a time when I entered every makeup contest because I was so in to it & I won 90% of them. I don't think it's my fault that the most of the people holding the contests liked my entry the best & it's not the winners fault that 3 of her entries have been chosen (by different people as Meg mentioned) either. Is it fair that just because she's won 3 contests already, she shouldn't win a 4th time? I don't think so.
