L'UVALLA CERTIFIED ORGANIC FOAMING FACIAL CLEANSER! 25% OFF DISCOUNT-CODE MEGS25
Sweetassgal wishing everyone a very Happy upcoming Thanksgiving. Looking through my latest mailing from Meg I must say I have lots and lots to be thankful for. She has been such a blessing to me and so generous with the plethora of wonderful products she sends me to try out. Honestly, sometimes I almost feel a little guilty! I'm just a spoiled brat when it comes to beauty products but to my credit I must say I appreciate every last bottle, tube and jar that is bestowed to me.
So with all of these great products to chose from how do you decide what to use first? Well, being a girl who responds greatly to an aesthetic I have to say I go straight to the prettiest package. In my last mailing that was invariably my beautiful blue bottle of L'uvalla Certified Organic Foaming Facial Cleanser. This bottle is SO pretty you'd be hard pressed to want to throw it away. I'm quite sure I'll be finding another way to use the deep cobalt blue glass...even if its just putting it up on the shelf above my tub. But will something so pretty on the outside measure up to my expectations on the inside? I needed to find out more.
Straight to luvalla.com I found out the beautiful truth behind the beautiful blue bottle. This is an incredible company! L'uvalla is a line of 100% certified organic skin care that came from the idea of Yuvalla. "The founding principle of Yuvalla is to connect the world’s people by melding the philosophies of the east and the west. The mission is to expand holistic mindfulness by providing pathways, products, and services for personal and social transformation. Yuvalla will provide tools and resources that also support sustainable living, responsible capitalism, holistic health, and environmental responsibility." This very spiritual and highly evolved way of "authentic living" believes in a way of life that is mindful, healthy, balanced, and beautiful. The result is a luxurious and yet responsible line of certified organic, sustainable, cruelty free, vegan products that are completely free of all of our usual nasty suspects. All around...this is just a completely gorgeous concept and one I wish to adopt more closely into my life.
L'uvalla's Foaming Facial cleanser contains Billberry and Lotus flower which packs a Vitamin C punch along with antioxidants to help fight the aging process. The light, organic liquid has an aromatic blending of Madder Root extract and Rose Geranium Flower Oil all which blend together into a spa like scent. This was very evident to me when I first poured out too much. It really is a liquid...not a gel or a cream...so be careful when using it and I recommend applying with a cotton pad or washcloth to lessen waste. I even used it to take off my makeup and it didn't sting but I did still have a little residual eyeliner smudge left. It cleanses well without stripping and left my skin still hydrated. This is a very light cleanser and probably works best for someone with normal to mildly combo skin. L'uvalla also carries a Hydrating Milk Cleanser which I am DYING to try after a week in the drying desert for Thanksgiving. That would be the way to go for those who have dry skin and need a moisture boost. I love the organic properties of this cleanser and would like to explore the rest of the line to see what else they have to offer.
If looking for a certified organic cleanser, this is nice option to go with if you don't need a heavy duty cleanser. I would like to see the formula come in a thicker consistency and I didn't really see the "foaming" capabilities but no foam aside this is a likeable cleanser that looks beautiful on your vanity and leaves nothing nasty behind when the job is done. Like I said...the Hydrating Milk Cleanser will get a full week of my love and devotion so I'll report back my findings on that. Until then, I'll be making a concerted effort towards my own version of authentic living tearing down the sand trails of the Nevada desert in my new Polaris Razr by day and pampering my skin with L'uvalla 100% Organic Skincare at night. GLAM ON!!!!

I haven't tried this brand, but the concept sounds very interesting and that bottle really is gorgeous!
Ah this product sounds nice...I wish they have a product that works for oily skin too!
apple3, the foaming facial cleanser is for oily skin too. On the website it says for NORMAL/COMBO/OILY SKIN TYPES.
I like gel cleansers better. I don't know if it is true, but my skin always feels cleaner with a gel. I never feel like all the makeup is off when I have tried foam cleansers. I do love this companies philosophy though!
Thank you for reviewing L'uvalla. This is my favorite line of skincare! I have been a devoted customer for over a year now. I use the foaming facial cleanser and I would like to add to the review. I also learned the hard way when I spilled a little precious portion of the cleanser when I first used it, but then I contacted the company and they were so nice. They told me to use a sea sponge (those yellow sponges you can buy in Whole Foods). Well it completely changed my experience with the product. Originally I was foaming it up in my hand by pouring a little portion on my hand then with quick rotating motion foaming it up. But now, with the sponge, I use a smaller portion of the cleanser and it foams up in the most AMAZING way (just make sure the sponge is wet first). It actually will take off all my make-up so I love using it at night before I go to sleep. The scent is AMAZING and helps me fall asleep as well. I can't wait till you start using the Milk Cleanser because you WILL FALL IN LOVE... it's that good!
Sweetass, this sounds divine. I loved their website and was carefully checking out the anti aging regimen. It seems like just what my skin needs, plus a great price for quality. Do you know if Whole Foods (or whole paycheck as Meg has been known to say) carries this? Great review on a great sounding product.

that bottle is gorgeous! you could put a candle i it?!
Sounds lovely, and the bottle looks gorgeous. Though, with liquidy (is that even a word?) cleansers, that are supposed to foam but doesn't putting them in a foaming bottle helps a lot, especially since you don't loose a lot of product down the drain that way. :)
Sounds great with the foaming bottle. Where can you get those? I don't think I've seen them sold anywhere here in Finland, empty ones I mean.
Silk Naturals (http://www.silknaturals.com/creb/product_info.php?cPath=25&products_id=826) sell a small 50ml foaming bottle for $2.99. If you buy just the foaming bottle, international shipping would cost more than the bottle though (think the min International shipping rate is $3.25). You could also google it, many online store and probably some ebay sellers stock this. The bottle I got from SN looks exactly like this one here: http://www.bottlesandfoamers.com/cart/foam-soap-pump-mini-with-50ml-pet-bottle-each-p-22.html?zenid=ce691c6dda9073ad788c6e17532616d8
Thank you, I was looking for it, too. I can't find an empty foaming bottle here, either. I want to order blush and skincare samples from SN, so the shipping isn't a problem, and I'd hate it if I found out they sell empty foaming bottles after placing an order. (It happens to me all the time - I place an order and then find other things I want).
cool bottle and colour!i've never tried a completely organic cleanser before, the cleansers i've used all seem to dry my skin out, i have combo skin and this sounds perfect.
I haven't tried this brand either, bottle looks lovely but i don't use cleansers so no good for me !!!
Amost to the bottom of my much loved at your suggestion "Juara" cleanser and might just give the "Milk Cleanser" a try! I have to be careful: too harsh a cleanser dries me out and some just dont' get the crud/makeup off so it has be really work to win my heart!GORGEOUS line and packaging...Have FUN and be safe!!! :)
Given my sworn promise to use Cetaphil after the Philosophy foaming face cleanser is gone I almost deleted this post. But the bottle is gorgeous and I liked the certified organic. I didn't like the price. At 33.50 a bottle this will not make it to my bathroom especally since I know that I will leave the cap a little loose and someone (ME?) will knock it over and watch it cleanse the counter.
There is a chance Whole Foods has at least the cleansing milk. Just found a twitter post about it.
I havent tried them either but wow think your warning about being careful with the puring was a good one, knowing me in the morning i would waste alot. I do prefer gels or thicker cleansers. Looks so pretty though, i love that retro look it has.
makeup makeup makeup!!!!!!!
Anxious to hear about the Hydrating Milk Cleanser. Anything that is pretty, organic and environmentally responsible is something I'd like to try!

This product is awesome! The smell is nice , a very calming smell. but i do prefer to use a gel cleanser they are thicker so i dont waste but thanks for that tip about the sponge i will try it and see if i have better luck. I usually do my facial routine in the morning when i wake up and with all my hassle in the morning i have to be quick witch caused me to spill alot of this product.
I haven't tried this but I might. I'm thinking of totally re-thinking my skin routine because the one I have right now doesn't feel right.
I've never tried this brand either.

I haven't tried this brand, it's too expensive for my taste. I don't use a cleanser in the morning, and at night I have just been using a microfiber cloth with just plain water. When I do use cleanser, I have been using St. Ive's microdermabraison cleanser, which works wonders for me and smells great.

I'd purchase this just for the cobalt blue glass, one of my favorites. But it sounds wonderful and I can never had enough cleansers. That's one purchase I can honestly justify to myself.
I hadn't heard of this brand before, but I agree the bottle would have drawn me in too! Most likely I wouldn't purchase it though, just based on price. Oh, for the bottle once it's empty.. you could mix up your own bath salts and put them in it!
Havnt tried this company but I love organic cleansers because they are usually ALOT more gentle! my face is starting to be pissed at me so Ive been taking a little extra care. I now what you mean about your credit. I spend one weekend with my old friends I havnt seen in a while and spent 700 BUCKS!!! WTF!!! My credit card is officially maxxed out!

This sounds like a great product, and one designed exactly for my skin type. I'd probaby stick to Cetaphil, though its not natural, for the price tag attached (although I totally get why organic/natural = more expensive) I just can't justify it on my student wages.
This really sounds like a great product! This sounds like my skin exactly.
Im really interested in organic products right now. Hmm trying to stay away from foaming cleansers, but this sounds great none the less :)
this is so helpful! (:thanks so much for the article. i really like the fact that it's organic... and I love foaming cleansers.. aha
I have the WORST time with breaking out from cleansers (even some oils) so I'm really intrigued by this. The Hydrating Milk cleanser sounds FABU, so I'm waiting with bated breath for a review.
I've never heard of this line either, but it sounds lovely. Sweetassgirl - how does it compare with Juara? I'm still using that and loving it.

You are right, the bottle alone is so pretty. I've never tried a milk based cleanser that I didn't absolutely love. I can't wait to hear more about it. Sounds like you are having a great family trip, good for you beautiful girl. Great review! Now go shred.....
I like the idea of this product, it sounds lovely and the bottle is gorgeous.

I've never tried this brand, but I love the concept behind it. I just ordered a new organic face wash from Eden Allure, but I may give this a try afterwards.
I was lucky enough to receive this in a prize pack from Meg. The smell is nice and rosey but also smells a little chemically, which is odd for an organic product. It is liquidy (like water), and it does foam nicely when applied and rubbed gently with a little cotton round. The packaging is just darling (champ, I love cobalt blue glass as well!) but it's not my favorite cleanser. I'm sure I'll use it up, but I don't think I'd repurchase it, especially at that price.

That is a very beautiful bottle! But I have to agree, the price is a little much for me right now. I find cleansers to be the trickiest thing for me to pick out. I never feel like one I try is so great I need to buy it again and again. I almost always buy a different one every time. I do like the one I am using right now from Boscia, and it has lasted me a long time for the price. Although since it is hard for me to get without ordering I may end up switching again soon.
that sounds awesome ! i cant wait to try it !
I have never heard of this line...It sounds great and I'd love to try it. my skin is on the dry side so I am all about moisturizing and re-moisturizing.
Sweetassgal, what a great review! This sounds just lovely, I adore pretty packaging. And don't you ever feel guilty for having packages sent to you!! You always manage to make us Meg-heads laugh, smile and sometimes even mist up at your beautiful and heart-felt words. I look forward to your articles so much, they're always a joy to read. <3
Honestly, I have never tried anything that is certified organic. This product sounds wonderful! I know I have oily skin but most of the cleansers I use really strip my oils so I end up even oilier after a few hours. I'd like to try this because it doesn't strip the skin dry.
this sounds like a great product and il have to give it a chance! i dont usually use foaming cleasers tho, as they can be drying.
What an interesting company and product. I love the packaging as well.
I am all about organic now, and have been using Pangea Organics - they have a very nice facial cleanser that smells great, has a nice consistency, and leaves my skin feeling super clean and soft. Maybe once that one runs out and I will give this one a try!
First I would like to say that the bottle is gorgeous!!!I just checked out their website and the products look great. I don't think I would like the foaming facial cleanser because I have very oily skin and it doesn't seem to be for that. I wish they had a face wash just for oily skin but I can't wait to see the review on the Hydrating milk cleanser. On the bonus side, they offer a sample pack (you just pay shipping / handling) and I can't wait to get one.
L'uvalla products sound interesting. I've not tried L'uvalla but would love to try it. I find it interesting that their product sizes are all "3 month supply". Plus point is they do have international shipping, using US Global priority mail -- is this the same as Priority Mail International?? can't find Global Priority Mail on USPS' website.
I have never tried this brand, but after reading the post and all of your raving reviews, what am I waiting for!?! This really sounds great.
i love the packaging of this little bottle !
Sounds amazing and looks so cute
I haven't tried it, but that blue bottle is gorgeous.
i wanna try it!
