MINERAL COVERAGE THAT'S ACTUALLY GOOD FOR YOUR SKIN!
MissRo here! When I wrote my first post about the Cosminology concealers, I was blown away by how smoothly it went on and how well it covered. I'm still using it and enjoying it everyday whether I dab a bit to even out my skin tone or to use it as my "foundation", I love it! My skin looks absolutely flawless every time.
So, the other day I started to try out the You Rock My Cosmos! Clinical Mineral Coverage. I've mentioned in other posts that I'm pretty fussy about different beauty items. The big two are face cleanser and foundation/powder. When I have tried other mineral foundation powders, they either look too chalky or it's too iridescent and my face looks very shiny and not natural. I was very pleased with the look of Dr. Dima's Mineral Coverage. However, it goes beyond just the type of coverage it gives you and how your skin looks, it's healing.
There are many people, both men and women, that have either suffered from bad acne or had a terrible reaction to beauty products that have ruined the tone or quality of their skin. Then you start to become insecure about how you look and you are not comfortable showing your face. Dr. Dima knows this first hand, because she endured a terrible scar during the testing phase of a new laser. She tried several different brands with no luck and after months of her quest to find the best coverage, she finally created the world's first physician formulated mineral makeup.
You Rock My Cosmos Clinical Mineral Coverage comes in six colors. It's paraben free, talc free, fragrance free, oil free, dye-free, non-comedogenic, and most important bismuth oxychloride free so you don't get that chalky look. Not to mention, bismuth oxychloride is a byproduct of lead and copper which usually irritates the skin and can worsen conditions like acne and rosacea, and no one needs that!
Also, with your purchase of $85 or more, you get a complimentary "Try Me" kit from Cosminology. The kit includes - Global Debire Remover Get Cosmically Naked, So Universally Clean You can Eat Off My Face, Big Bang Those Light Years Away Hi-Plutonic C Daylight Anti-Oxidant Cream, Cosmic Ray Shield SPF 36 Your Skin's Solar Eclipse, Galactic Glove Seal Your Skin Anti-Oxidant Serum, and Fault-Line Defender Twilight Anti-Oxidant Cream. Wow! That's practically the whole Cosminology skin care line!
What's your favorite foundation, powder, or both? Have you tried any Cosminology products? If so, which one?

My favorite liquid foundation is Clinique Superfit (I have recently been mixing it half & half with the famous Monistat Anti-Chaffing Gel, and love it!), and for powder/mineral foundation: Everyday Minerals. I have not tried cosminology and probably won't be due to the price.

I have tried You Rock My Cosmos Clinical Mineral Coverage (based on your review of their line Miss Ro) I love this foundation. I have never like liquid foundations because they feel heavy on my face. I have always like powder foundations but they can be chalky or not give great coverage. I love this foundation because it covers my problem areas (breakouts and rosecea) with ease. The color match is perfect and it is quick and easy to put on in the mornings!!! I highly recommend this line. Thanks for turning me on to them Miss Ro!!!
I've used many different kinds of foundation--liquid, loose powder, pressed powder, mousse, tinted moisturizer, stick foundation... My favorite powder at the moment is Clinique Superbalanced mineral foundation powder with SPF15. I also really like Clinique's stick foundations, because they have buildable coverage, and can be used as concealer in a pinch :)

wow, that is some amazing coverage! however i've always been scared of using concealers with heavy coverage especially around my nose because the skin would start peeling, flaking and all that jazzat the moment i use everyday minerals powder concealer and a revlon cream concealer for under eyes or really red spots!

Wow the photo's look amazing. I have a lot of acne scarring to cover as well as several blemishes; I always have a few on my face at any given time :( I currently use Everyday Minerals or Silk Naturals mineral foundation, and I get incredible coverage considering they are mineral powders. The coverage on this product looks amazing, and the benefits sound wonderful as well. I would love to give this a try to see if it works for me, but I don't know if I can justify spending that much $ on a foundation? I wear foundation every single day, everywhere I go, so I'm not sure how long this would last me, and for that price I couldn't see myself buying more than a few of these a year!
Wow, that looks great! I too love and use mineral makeup, though admittedly a different brand. When my skin is dry in the winter I like to wear my mineral makeup over a bit of tinted moisturizer. That gives me extra coverage and some much needed extra moisture as well.

My favorite mineral foundation/powder is EDM. A lot of days I just use a tinted moisturizer, though (loving Hard Candy's right now). I got UD's 24/7 pencil concealer recently and am really liking it. I don't have an HG liquid foundation currently, but I don't wear it very often anyway. I haven't tried any Cosminology stuff yet, but I really hope to soon!
What's your favorite foundation, powder, or both? Have you tried any Cosminology products? If so, which one?I like Everyday Minerals, but I cannot in good conscious buy from them anymore so I'll have to find something new once my stash runs out. Which should be in, oh, maybe 2015. I received Cosminology's cleanser from Meg this week (thanks so much Meg!!) I'm still using up the Uvalla cleanser she sent last time, then I'll start with the Cosminology. I'm set for cleanser until spring, at least.
what a great coverage.i love pressed powder foundation, liquid foundation tend to get a bit messy for me and somewhat uneven as well.
I feel like I have tried many, many liquid and mineral foundations. Right now I am using pur minerals. (It is a mineral based foundation in a compact. I like it because it is a concealer and foundation in one. However, I am sure I will try something else once I use my existing product up.
i have used minral foundation £3.50 contain sun protection factor (spf) 15 and are 100% mineral based with no parabens, no preservatives and no chemical dyes.and their Concealer £3.50, pretty satisified with quality and quantity of the product planning to get their mineral eyeshadows hopefully soon cause ELF eyeslipsface.co.uk is giving FREE Studio 27 piece Makeup Collection worth £15 with every order of £25 or more!!Please use coupon code AGIFT4U on your 'shopping bag' page to qualify. yayyeeeeeehttp://www.eyeslipsface.co.uk/product~prodID~82.htm
looks good, but i think liquid foundation is a bit too much for me
That looks like great coverage. I like to use everyday minerals foundation, especially because I use the intensive forumla, which doesn't leave me all shiney
I rotate between EDM Buff Linen that I use as both foundation and concealer and MAC Studiosculpt,Selectmoisture Cover and Studiofinish Concealer Palette.
I prefer foundation over powder. My skin is too dry and uneven in it's texture and powder just magnifies that. I've been using EDM on and off and Revlon Beyond Natural when I'm not using that.

It's wonderful to find a "clean" mineral makeup. I had given up on makeups because they contain so many chemicals.I got away from skin care products containing chemicals after a really bad episode with my rosacea that required 2 trips to a dermatologist and a month to get at all under control. She told me to use chemical-free skin care. That worked VERY well so that now my skin looks almost 'normal' most of the time.Evidently scientific studies are showing a buildup of chemical toxins on the skin can cause acne, dryness and skin cancer - and that's on normal skin. Skin with rosacea is so much more sensitive, so imagine what chemicals do to it.To find chemical-free products, I started out reading labels and researching all the ingredients. Now I start with certified organic skin care products as they don't contain harmful chemicals. Much easier. Mayo http://www.best-mens-skin-care.com
i used to looooove everydayminerals powder minerals.. but alas i think they are giving me bumps, cant be sure and will update later, but it is sad so i am a bit wary now of putting any foundation on. I just had a facial and the girl said i dont need to wear foundation, that was nice to hear as i think my skin looks horrible close up. So I am taking a break so i can get the bumps gone and will do another test to see what gave them to me.
makeup makeup makeup!!!!!!!
Oh my goodness! I was looking at the Cosminology website, and I really wanted this! I have to postpone ordering, though, b/c I just placed a big EDM order. My skin has such awful scars right now. :( Not much actually covers them really well. The Cosminology concealer works well at covering, but the color is a little pinkish for my skin. I still use it everyday, and it really helps A LOT better than other concealers I've tried. Hopefully, Dr. Dima will make more shades. The intensity and such is perfect; I think I just neeed something a little less pink with a little more yellow. I've tried Chanel, Smashbox, MAC, etc. foundations. I prefer powder b/c I'm combo/oily. I'll use a cream or liquid from time to time, but I end up oily looking my the end of the day. I hate talc, so that really limits the powders I can use. This Cosminology foundation is definitely on my wish list!!!
exactly. i hate how every foundation has so much pink-tone in it.

That coverage looks amazing, that's what I'm hoping to be able to achieve by spring. I don't wear foundation in the typical sense- I use EDM foundation, but I use it as my concealer, spot concealing blemishes and stippling onto my rosacea to conceal the redness. I apply it all wet and don't buff at all because my skin is dry- but I think I need to try a liquid. Even with wet application I still wind up flaky/caky looking after a while. I just wish there were all natural cruelty free liquid foundations available (and affordable).
Honestly I haven't found the perfect foundation with the coverage I'm after. I don't want to use those typical liquid and cream foundations, I really want to stick to mineral makeup. I am amazed by the coverage this one gives just by looking at the pictures!
I'm still looking for the perfect foundation for my skin. Mineral makeup seems to be great but I'm not sure if it is causing my skin to break out (first I thought it was the jojoba oil I was using but it wasn't). I have to take a break in all kinds of foundation and see if that helps. I am far too lazy to use liquid foundation, which I think takes more effort to get evenly on your face than powder foundation.
I love mineral foundation, but I haven't found one that particularly stands out to me yet. Thus far, I've tried both EM and Silk Naturals and liked both, but for different reasons.
Wow those before and after pictures are amazing fabulous coverage and not one bit chalky or unnatural ,just what I look for in a foundation-your skin only better. But what I really love about Dr Dimas range is that even the makeup benefits,I mean we all know make-up makes you look better short term but dr dima's product's are formulated to actually make your skin better that's so cool.Meg sent me the Galactic glove save your skin serum and I can't wait to see the benefit -it's actually just what my skin needs at the moment-a million thanks meg.

Okay...do you see me gritting my teeth??? I have been "testing" mineral makeups and honestly still hate them all! They either break me out, show up every freakin' wrinkle,or have a gjastly pallor that even the "Twilight" crowd would be put off by...I'm seriously considering ordering from Dr. Dima and trust me,it would be the ultimate endorsement if I can use her products with good results.I've ordered over 2 dozen kinds of mineral makeup in the past few months and all are simply awful.Clicking on the website now...this sounds good Miz Ro and you know I trust you!!!
wow ! this looks amazing (:I'd love something that I wouldn't be clogging my pores.. less paranoia?
Never tried any comsinology products, but this looks amazing! I don't really wear foundation, but I would defintaely try this if I did.
I use bare essentials but would love to try Cosminology mineral coverage. I love the fact that it works well and is healing too!
Okay Miz Ro! Ordered the mineral makeup/concealer combo, the overnight lip plumper, and "Core Your Pores" mask on your gorgeous say-so!Will update in a couple of weeks. :)
85 bucks is a little expensive for a high school student! I use Everyday Minerals or just a Cover Girl tinted moisturizer and some powder on top. I really love the Everyday Minerals blushes and brushes!
I don't know if it's just me, but I will find a foundation, use it and love it, and then after a couple of weeks, it doesn't work the same. I really like the idea of a foundation that's good for my skin, but I don't need that kind of coverage. (yet). I've been thinking of trying Rodan & Fields mineral makeup, it's also supposed to be very good for your skin, but I haven't really found any reviews for it yet.
I love mineral makeup I use EDM at the moment, I would love to try this but it's over the customs limit :(
I use a foundation from Everday Minerals.
My Beauty Blog:http://www.glam-morena.com/
I use mineral makeup from Bare Escentuals and Everyday Minerals. I don't think i will ever use liquid foundation again. Mineral makeup gives the best natural finish.
I am starting to love liquid foundation, But it's difficult to find somthing with a good coverage ( yes I have things to hide lol) but not to thick =s I like everyday minerals though, but I don't know the coverage is not enough anymore I don't know what is wrong with my skin lol it used to be ok/GOOd now it's more like Meh/ok ! But I am pretty impressed with the pictures on the post...wich I could try Dr DIMA's products

I havnt tried any cosminology products though I can't wait to!I use EDM foundations and they work just fine for me because I have a very hard to match color and I can mix them. The cosminology foundations dont have a wide enough color range for me. Though Im dying to try some of their other products considering all the good rep theyre getting aroyund here!
Tan is Love
I've actually never tried mineral foundation. I love mineral eyeshadows though. This came out really great
Ive never tried this brand before. But I use everyday minerals foundations. Love minerals!!!
I have the Cosminology sunscreen (thanks Meg!) that I just got and still need to try, but yes, I'm a mineral makeup girl. I use Silk Naturals products and just love them. Their foundations are sold as plain white foundation plus colored bases--you mix and match and blend until you get your exact custom shade, which is really nice if your skin gets a bit lighter or darker depending on the season...You don't have to go out and buy a different shade, you can just tweak your mix and you're ready to go.
I use Smashbox Studio foundation and it looks great in the morning, but doesn't last all day and night. My fave mineral foundation is EDM.I like the sound of the products, but the price is a bit off setting.
I've been using Coastal Scents Honey Glow mineral makeup and I ADORE IT. It goes on smooth and so light, it barely looks like I have anything on at all. I love that it's so gentle on my skin and really lasts and lasts with the other concealer and staying powder I use. ♥
My lastest base is from Silk Naturals. By far it's the best of the three MMU brands I'd tried (the other two are EDM & Lauress). It is now the only one I use. I looked through Cosminology's before & after pics and were amazed by the results. Pity there was no Asian/Chinese representation there. I'd never tried any Cosminology products but their skincare line tempts me (although the prices are a bit on the high side).
I have tried Bare Minerals powder foundation and Philosophy powder foundation. They look nice...if I don't make any facial expressions. The powders tend to accentuate my fine lines. So, I don't use them. I don't want to try them again. I'm glad this worked for you. I'm going to stick with my Dior liquid foundation, it has serum to help my skin. It gives good coverage with a little healthy glow too.
I prefer foundation over powder because i have dry skin !!!
I used to use Lise Watier liquid foundation and really liked it, wasn't as cakey as other liquids I had tried. But I still got oily and orangeish by the end of the day. I discovered Everyday Minerals last year, and was really surprised by the amount of coverage a powder could provide! I think the powder (I also use the kaolin clay primer) really helps keep the oilies at bay through out the day. I have discovered a Canadian mineral makeup company that I will be trying once my EDM runs out. I haven't had the issues some people have had with EDM, but I like to support Canadian companies so will be switching to Blusch Cosmetics.
I prefer liquid to mineral...just because it gives me smoother finish. I have combo skin...sometimes it can look super dry and sometimes super oily.
I used EDM matte foundation currently. I love the coverage and it lasts all day on me. With all the changes with EDM lately, I am definately on the lookout for something new. I have never tried Cosminology products, but when my EDM runs low I will definately check them out.
I use EDM matte foundation too, keeps away the shines! Never used any cosminology products since I'm happy with EDM for the time being, however I will keep it in mind!
Britt♥
I only tried a few brands. I liked EDM, but won't order from them again (I couldn't find a match, anyway). I find All Natural Face's (Etsy) foundation very similar to EDM's Intensive and it's affordable, so if I find a match I won't look further.
My favorite foundations are Silk Naturals (loose minerals), adorned with Grace minerals (loose minerals), and I just got some mineral mousse from Earthen Glow Minerals the other day and am pretty impressed so far. The Cosminology looks good, but it's really expensive and they don't list ingredients on their website, which concerns me.
