MAGIC OF ALOE 'S! ALOE EYE MAKE-UP REMOVER!
Sharond here! Eye Makeup Remover has always been a love/hate product for me. I love the idea, but hate the ones I have tried. They never seem to work like I think they should. I wake up with black eyes more often than not.
Recently Meg sent me Magic of Aloe’s Aloe Eye Make-up Remover to test. Being the skeptic that I am, I was thinking yah, here I go again. Before I tried the product, I went to their website,magicofaloe.com to find out about the company and their products. I was amused to find out Magic of Aloe was founded in 1971 by Paul E. Aloe in Pennsauken, New Jersey, USA. His goal was to bring the benefits of the aloe vera plant to the public. Now, over three decades later, Magic of Aloe formulates, develops and markets the largest all natural, organic cosmetic products on the market.
Magic of Aloe is also listed in PETA’s (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) “Cruelty-Free Shopping Guide” which means their products are not tested on animals. They are also listed with The National Anti-Vivisection Society. NAVS is a national, not-for-profit educational organization incorporated in the State of Illinois. NAVS promotes greater compassion, respect and justice for animals through educational programs based on respected ethical and scientific theory and supported by extensive documentation of the cruelty and waste of vivisection. Growing up on a farm has allowed me to learn first hand that animals do have feelings and personalities. I always support companies that do not test on animals and avoid those that do.
Magic of Aloe’s Eye-Makeup Remover contains moisturizing aloe vera gel along with purified water, glycerin and herbal essence. The remover is a clear liquid which is fragrance free. They claim on their bottle that the product conditions lashes, moisturizes delicate skin, lightens skin tone and does not leave an oily residue.
I had the opportunity to give Magic of Aloe’s Eye-Makeup remover a real workout. My husband and I were going out and I intended to go full glam, almost tarantula eyes and all. That night I used Aloe’s remover to get off all that eye makeup. Following directions, I sprayed the product onto a cotton pad, gently wiped my closed eye and it worked. It took two swipes per eye and all the eye make-up was off. The next morning I was pleased to see that my eyes were still clean, not to mention my pillows. My eye lids felt clean and did not have that after makeup dry feeling that I usually get. My lashes felt moisturized and were very supple instead of stiff and thick. Since then I have been using this product every day and can honestly recommend this to everyone.
Magic of Aloes Eye-Makeup Remover comes in a one ounce trial size spray bottle for $6.95 with free shipping and a larger 4 ounce regular bottle for $13.00. I suggest getting both and refilling the small spray bottle as needed. Spraying allows you to control how much you use and being it is only one ounce, it is great for travel.
You can buy Magic of Aloe from their website, from independent sales associates or call 1.800.257.7770. They are so confident their products work that for $3.95 they will send you a catalog, free samples, and information about how to become a sales representative or purchase products wholesale. I have not ordered additional products so I can not comment on packing, shipping and delivery time.
This really is the best eye make-up remover I ever used and would recommend it to anyone, regardless of skin type. Their web site has an amazing selection of products; basic skin care, spa, body and bath, men, oily, sun protection, cosmetics and accessories plus Christmas sale packages that would make wonderful gifts.

I usually use Almay's eye makeup remover, but will definitely check this out when I'm out.
that is great news! i need one that i like, right now i use jojba oil and it does remove but i cant stand it! no matter what i always get oil in my eye, and then i cant see prop its all blurry and then goopy black in the corner of my eye. I think it is my prob maybe i put too much oil on the pad, but anyway it drives me crazy.. and oily eyeballs cant be healthy right!!??? EUGH!!!!
makeup makeup makeup!!!!!!!
i have a produce meg sent me in my first prize pack. sometimes i use it as a makeup primer. im rationing it out. plus i think it's best on warmer days anyway.

Meg also sent me this in my little Meghead-point kit. I am not letting myself use it until I finish my beloved jojoba oil, but I will come back and review it as soon as I do!
I love to try anything that is against cruelty to animals
Got. to. have. this! I've never really found a good eye makeup remover either. Seems like they are either not too effective or they burn my eyes. Plus, I grew up just a few miles from Pennsauken NJ, so I need to give my homey's products a try. Seems like I remember home parties for this Aloe company back in the early 80's. My current best bet has been Maybelline oil-free remover, and that's ok. Doesn't burn and it does get most (not all) of my eye makeup off. But if this is better, then bring it on.Thanks for the review.

I just got a new eye makeup remover from Mary Kay and I like it so far, but I'll definitely put this stuff on my list for when I run out! The price is great and it sounds like an awesome product.
Ooooh this sounds great! Currently I just take a shower before bed and hope I get most of it off cause I hate all the removers I've tried but this seems so much easier!
I LOVE this stuff and agree 100% that it's probably the best remover I have ever used!!!Plain-Jane but baby a couple of squirts on a cotton pad and even the TOUGH waterproof stuff that's layered on comes off cleanly and without any yucky residue or irritation.I'm going to do as you suggest and get the large size to refill my spray bottle...don't overlook this company peeps, everything I have tried from them is AMAZING!!!
I currently use ELF removers since they're so cheap, but I will have to try this as aloe vera works wonders!
I'm intrigued. I haven't found THE perfect makeup remover that can take off my eyeliner and waterproof mascara in one swell swoop without feeling too greasy (eww). I'll look more into this company. Thanks for introducing it to us!
I'm currently using jojoba, too, but this sounds great! I'll definitely have to try it out sometime soon. I spilled half of my jojoba the other day (eep) so this is hopefully the silver lining to that mistake!
I haven't had much success with eye makeup remover either! Tough because some of the better ones I have tried do test on animals, which I also like to avoid. At the moment I am using Avon's moisturising eye makeup remover which is the best out of all the ones I have tried so far. This Aloe remover sounds wonderful, and not harsh (which is key!) and they even ship internationally! *does a happy dance*
i currently use estee lauder's make up remover i also use moisturiser to remove make up as well. i haven't tried magic of aloe's but i am definitely a fan of aloe!!!ahh i love how green this product sounds!

ive never heard of this before, but great review.i use clinique's make up remover, it works quite wellbut i'm very curious to try this one as well.
I'm in the process of trying to find a good eye make up remover but no luck so far, either they don't work or they hurt my sensitive eyes... So this review certainly made me very curious too!
ya i just recently got into the whole buying eye makeup remover products... though this product sounds pretty decent.. i think ill just stick to using mineral oil
I'm on the hunt for a new eye make up remover at the moment, this one sounds lovely.

I've been wanting to get my hands on this stuff for a while now!! Great review, I for sure need to get my hands on this.
I got this to try also and for me it wasn't as great as it was for some of you. I squirted it on the pad as directed but after swiping several times I gave up on getting off all of my eye makeup. I went and got my usual two second swipe extra virgin coconut oil and it took off the rest in an instant. I'm so sold on my EVCO to remove my eye makeup that's it really spoiled me for anything else! It takes me less than maybe 15 seconds if that to remove my mascara, liners, shadows etc - hard to top and it never ever irritates my eyes and leaves behind the oil which softens my skin and lines. My skin is dry so I benefit from the oil residue which isn't for everybody. I do like the idea that this product is made with Aloe however - Aloe is wonderful and healing! I checked out the website thoroughly and they have a lot of products that I would love to try - I like that the skin care lines really give in depth details about the product and how to use them. This seems like it would be a lovely place to order products from and with Aloe in everything they make - I'd be excited to see what it can do! One woman apparently won skin care for a year from them - WOW - that would really be fantastic! The reviews on the website are very positive also! I like that they are so confident about their products and will back them up with a full refund if you return the product within 30 days!
Jeanasina!http://blogette-jhasleftthebuilding.blogspot.com/orhttp://jhasleftthebuilding.blogspot.com/
jeanasina, that's great that they have that kind of return policy. I've tried the Magic of Aloe skin primer and was underwhelmed. I'm still looking for the perfect eye makeup remover--Clinique cleansing balm works decently on eyes, followed by Clinique Foaming Cleanser all over (including on eyes, but be careful not to get it IN your eyes), and then Cetaphil all over (I gently massage this over the eye area to get rid of any remaining eye makeup).

Are yall using just plain jojoba/coconut oil or is it mixed with something. This sounds like a good idea. I would like to use something more natural than what I am currently using. I like the idea of aloe in an eye makeup remover, but I like the idea of a simple, natural one ingredient product.
I only use makeup wipes to remove my eye makeup. But sometimes I find it too harsh. I sometimes use olive oil or coconut oil as well.
I like the sound of this product. I have a tough time using eye makeup remover because they typically irritate my eyes. Either that or I end up getting more makeup in my eye than I started with. This sounds good. I like the idea of a spray bottle, I have it when you dump out way more than you mean to. Meg sent me the Magic of Aloe lotion primer stuff. I liked it and it works well. I use it it on a fairly normal basis :)
I haven't used any Magic of Aloe products. Currently I'm using L'oreal's eye makeup remover for waterproof makeup. It works really well and does not sting my eyes. I bought a few bottles during a sale, so I'm set for at least one year.
I received this in my prize pack this week from Meg and I used it last night. It works great! I definitely recommend this because aloe really soothes and removed my eye makeup. I only wore mascara and eyeshadow and it removed traces of my makeup without any irritation and I have really sensitive skin around my eyes. The sample size bottle was in a sizeable spray bottle, also very handy for travel!

Just received this from Meg and I'm totally sold. I use Aloe Vera in my daily moisturizer, so I love products that include Aloe any kind and the fact that this is a natural product, goes to the top of my list.I normally use the Almay with aloe vera, cucumber, green tea extract, which works okay, I like it for the main ingredients and the fact that it doesnt have parabens, however it does not truly remove all traces of makeup. I usually wear UD 24/7 glide on eye liner on a daily basis and it is extremely hard to remove since it's forumlated to pretty much waterproof and resistant to everything. I tried Magic of Aloe last night and am in love! My eye makeup yesterday included, UDPP, EDM hydrating concealer, Smashbox eyeshadows and UD Bourbon liner, which Magic of Aloe took off in 2 swipes! AND did not leave any oil residue, products does what it says, I will definitely purchase this when I run out! Best.eyemakeupremover.ever!
I'm with Sharon on this one, and the best part is that didn't leave any greasy residue on my contact lenses. It's so hard to find products that get the job done without destroying my lenses. I have such sensitive eyes that I can't use most makeup removers. Great delivery system with zero stinging. Plus, I'm constantly battling redness and this only helps the cause. Anything that helps reduce that problem is a Godsend. Great product!
This sounds great! I currently use either Jojoba oil or Silk Naturals apricot cleansing oil to remove my makeup. I'll have to check this product out; I love products with Aloe because even the word sounds so soothing..
I'm convinced - I've ordered it. I'm looking forward to trying this eye makeup remover. But you ladies have me intrigued about the coconut oil too.
Carole
Looking forward to trying it out.
I'm in the can't-find-a-good-eye-makeup-remover camp. My sister wears more eye makeup than a drag queen, and she just uses olive oil, but Magic of Aloe seems less oily. And I love aloe products.
I love aloe vera, and products that contain it, so this product sounds right up my alley
I really love aloe vera, whenever I get burned I just cut a leaf and it gets healed in no time. If it does that for damaged skin, what wont it do for a healthy one.I want to try this eye make-up remover but I have to spent my Silk Naturals Apricot Cleansing Oil, it takes off all make-up quickly and dissolves itself with water so no mess like with oils.

This sounds very cute, and looks easy to use. I've tried a few eye makeup removers, and hate the promise of gentleness only to have my eye skin burning moments later. Ouch! So lately, I've forsaken eye makeup removers, & I've been using a rinse off oil cleanser for complete makeup & sunscreen removal. It works great, and there's no stinging. I've used Shu oil cleanser (pink), Clarins Melting Gel, and Clinique Take the Day Off Balm (which is excellent for travel!). I follow up with a glycolic cleanser. I will have to say, that I'd consider giving this aloe stuff a try. It's always great to have eye makeup remover around, at least to fix makeup mistakes.
I've only used one true mmu remover in the past, and the harsh chemicals in it irritated my eyes so horribly I wound up with a mild infection. Since then I've only used oils- jojoba or a oo/castor mix that I use to remove all of my mu. This product sounds interesting though, because you get the soothing benefits of aloe but without the greasy effects of oil.
I forgot to add that I wear contacts and have very sensitive eyes, this stuff works like a dream, no irritation whatsoever and no greasy effects!
I aggre with you about the love /hate relationship with eye-make up remover's most I have tried are very oily and I always manage to get some in my eye. What a great idea to have a spray pump it would give you much more control-also love the fact that it's a natural aloe rich product after trying meg's latest aloe based mask I realised how hydrating an ingredient aloe is which can only be good news for your eyes and lashes.

oooh, i like that it has aloe in it (:I hate the irritating eyemakeup removers. I have one from Avon atm that isn't too bad, but I hate the ones that have a toner-like consistancy
I love aloe. This looks good.
I still use Pond's cold cream and I've been looking for something better! I always wake up in the morning with some more mascara under my eyes (ew I know!) so this sounds great. Thank you!
This sounds fantastic. No matter what cleanser or makeup remover I use, I always wind up with black smudges under my eyes the next morning when I wake up. I've used a Clinique remover that I got in a GWP but it is super oily and I didn't like the chemical smell. I've been meaning to try Jeanasina's tip about EVCO, but I hate the oily feel I got from the Clinique and I'm already super oily. Like Goldilocks says, this one's juuuust right. I am unfortunately on a no-buy, so no Magic for me right now. :(
hmmm I've been looking for a good makeup remover. I'm just using coconut oil right now but I'm going to order a sample of this.
I just tried to buy some - but it says I have to CALL them. I can't afford to make an international call, and I don't have a headset/mic for my computer so I can't use Skype. Hmmm. I can't find an email either.
Never heard of it, but I know Aloe is good for you skin. The prices don't seem half bad either.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I can not find anything that works and I am so excited to try this.
Im bad about removing my eye makeup. I usually don't! I take off everything and just leave on my mascara to wash off in the shower because like you I HATE every eye makeup remover I have ever tried!!! theyre always so gross feeling and oily most the time! This sounds like blessing though cause I know sleeping in my mascara is bad.. and I alweays have black spots on my pillowcase :(
Tan is Love
I have heard great things about aloe! Not as a makeup remover, but for other beauty uses... nice!
Great review. I too, despise most eye makeup removers. I always use oil-free kinds, but they have this texture that might as well be oil and grosses me out. Plus, no product I've used gets off every little bit of makeup. The price is sure right, too--about the same and maybe cheaper than the drugstore brands!
I really love the sound of this product. I have had such trouble finding an effective eye make up remover, and I don't even wear all that much eye make up. I hate feeling clean at night and waking up to smudges under my lower lash line. For the price, this is definitely worth a try!
