SKINVIE STRESS RELEASING & SOOTHING ELIXIR!
Jeanasina here ladies – it's Body Beautiful day and I'm sure all of you have had to deal with some type of stress today! Right now I want you to put your stressified faces close to your computer screen so you can read every particle of information I'm about to regale you with and you won't want to miss a thing, trust me! We are going to talk about facial stress!
Honey, look in that mirror of yours and see if you don't see a little leftover sign of a moment in your day today when you grit your teeth, lifted your eyebrows up toward your scalp, stretched out your neck muscles and said “I hate...my job, my mom, my life, my car...!” You know what I mean, a feeling inside that resulted in your outside looking monumentally angry or frustrated. This is where SkinVie comes into play.
I did a LOT of reading about this new slant on face cream and found it quite fascinating! See if you don't get hooked or at least majorly interested in this cream. I have to quote several parts of their product info because cutie pies out there, it's riveting stuff! Here we go...” SkinVie Stress Releasing & Soothing Elixir is perfect for all skin types. You can use our product when the signs of aging and tension are visible on your skin. If you want to remove stressed skin, stress induced skin problems, wrinkles on face, wrinkles on eyes, fine lines, skin irritation and skin rash, use our product!” HOLY FACE AILMENTS! Does that not pretty much cover all the women reading right now?
In case those descriptions didn't fully include you-then keep reading they say that their cream is formulated for “very sensitive skin, dry, normal or oily skin, aging and sagging skin with fine lines and wrinkles, tense, tired and stressed skin which has negative feelings of discomfort!” I loved that last statement! I can only imagine going up to my daughter for instance and saying something like “Daughter! I noticed that your skin has negative feelings of discomfort!” To which she would reply, “What the #@#@!! are you talking about?” At that point I'd be Dead Mama Walking.
SkinVie's slant is that stress has become a way of life for just about everybody! SkinVie's definition of stress is “a normal physical response to external events that make you feel threatened or upsets your balance.” I worked with a girl who while driving to work one day had her little boy say to her from the backseat of the car “Mom? You look FAT TODAY!” I bet that totally upset her balance! There is a strong relationship between the skin and the mind. Directly below the skin's surface are millions of nerve endings that are sensitive to contact, pain, and itchiness. So as emotions are exhibited neurologically, they can be conveyed via the skin much like stress can impact the health of other parts of the body by causing decreased immunity, increased anxiety, or hypertension. WOW!
Daily stress takes its toll on the skin in many ways. Increased stress and tension can cause you to frown or furrow your brow more. Over time these facial contractions can lead to a deepening of visible fine lines and wrinkles. I have a big ass line between my brows that's been there for years! During times of stress the skin defense systems are reduced. That means the protective barrier that seals moisture and shields the skin from environmental irritants such as chemicals, pollution and allergens is weakened. Thus skin tends to be more sensitive, reactive and appears irritated during times of stress. Furthermore important cell matrix proteins that help skin maintain it's firmness, radiance, youthful appearance and defend skin against environmental assaults are compromised.
SkinVie Stress Releasing & Soothing Elixir is formulated with a unique combination of highly effective ingredients that help to soothe and ease skin discomfort and defend the skin against the aging effects of daily stress by boosting the skin's natural ability to relax, comfort and repair it's appearance! I know this is a lot of information but ladies, it's vital stuff we don't think about! I never think much about how stressful situations make my skin look!
I know for sure that the excessive urge to compulsively eat vats of Parmesan cheese covered popcorn popped in olive oil to relieve MY stress causes severe BLOAT the next day – THIS I always notice! I'm sure my skin is stressed too and probably looks like shit after popcorn marathon nights! I was totally interested in SkinVie's compelling declarations that it acts instantly to reduce wrinkles, fine lines, facial tension and stress induced skin problems quickly and visibly! This product has so many benefits listed – well you just have to go on the website and read for yourself! Needless to say, I could not WAIT to try it!
It's a very pleasant silky white substance that glides on to your skin and leaves it feeling fantastically nurtured. I like what I see in the mirror after using it for just two weeks. I look gentle, calm, peaceful, and very cared for in the facial area. I really DO! I will have to see when I run out if there is a tremendous change in my skin or if I revert back to looking like an angry female roller blade bully who's known for constantly saying “What the hell YOU lookin' at bitch?!” to passers by! That's got to be a stressful look there! They do have a 14 day free trial right now.
The directions say to “gently massage into face and neck targeting the areas that feel tense and stressed.” My girlfriend has a bulldog and that thing is always violently tense and stressed, I wonder how this product would work on it's face? I absolutely loved using this product and I think you will to!
Do you notice how stress affects your skin? Do you see after a tough year more wrinkles or after a stress week a break-out? I totally see the cause and effect! Stress-free=SkinVie!

yes!!! whenever i'm stressed my skin goes horribly wrong, i don't think i've got wrinkles yet, but during exam period i break out, get little itchy red bumps etc. I really think my bf needs this, i really think i should force him to use it! at the tender age of 20 he's got quite a bit of wrinkles around his eyes when he smile. he's always stressed about working, the poor guy has been getting up at 5am everyday for the past year and it requires quite a lot of heavy lifting etc. i might get him one of these for christmas lol!

I definitely notice the effects stress has on my skin. I get pimples and start my skin starts to look very dull.

Stress affects my skin only because I stop taking proper care of myself when I am stressed. I start eating more junk food, drink a cola instead of glass of water in an attempt to stay concentrated and awake for just a little while longer and of course I don't get enough sleep. This definitely sounds like the magical bottle we've all been searching for. Though, magical bottles are scary...usually the genie is not as kind as it makes out to be. ;)
I'm like this as well. All carbs and alcohol, no healthy stuff. Plus stress wreaks havoc on my face, I've definitely noticed a difference in my skin when I've been relaxed and well rested vs stressed out and anxious and up all night. Lately I've been stressed, and my skin just isn't pretty. It's just.. blah. Overall tone is blah, pores are blah, etc. Which then makes me.. you guessed it; blah.
This is EXACTLY what I was thinking and probably true of all of us. We all need to take good care of ourselves when stressed, and in fact, doing so can probably help alleviate stress! :)
Oh Jeanasina, your blog post was so funny and informative and now I want some SkinVie of my own to try. I notice, during times of stress, that my skin can look drier, and blotchier...then again, this could be that because I"m so stressed I'm drinking less water, my sleeping becomes erratic and my schedule goes out of wack, too.. this girl needs a schedule to function.

And to add to that, my facial muscles get tight and tense under stress.. hurts like hell!

im in grad school so my stress is higher than it's ever been. im taking some steps to eliminate a stress factor now and once im over this hump, i'll be taking beauty precautions. first, i need to find a way to get better sleep and stop worrying all day and night.

I also notice that stress effects my skin, it goes duller and blotchier, and some parts are dryer, but I break out in others.
i have been looking for a serum to add to my winter "try and save the dry desert skin" routine... this may be an option.... i'll have to take a look at the ingredients. very interesting and informativie review... does anyone else have any serums that they LOVE... holy grail type serums?
I break out under stress. So far I haven't noticed any wrinkles though, which I'm thankful for.

I notice my skin looks dull when I get stressed and I'm sure it losses more elasticity because of the stress. My main stress factors in my life are a)men b)having to take public transit to work c) my job at times. I would really like to invest in this stuff. Sometimes I wished I handled stress better in general (people sometimes tell me I need to relax because I sometimes care too much about things).
Seriously....since the first time I put this lotion on my face I fell in love. I get excited every evening to indulge in this stress relieving treatment. My skin feels replenished and rejuvenated, wiping away the dull, ashy effects stress usually has on the skin. You'll be able to hide your stress under this shield of glowing skin.c
Jeanasina, vats of Parmesan Popcorn will get you every time...... ;) Oh, how you make me smile from the inside out! SkinVie must be on to something. We all look worse when we freak out and better when we don't. We all look better, more "rested" after a nice vacation. Perhaps they've figured out how to bottle "well rested". I'm happy with my results. Skin looks smoother (a biggie for me; the KP), and has an overall brightness and clarity that wasn't there before hand. (I noticed this most around the eye area and my skin feels so soft!) Well cared for like Jeanasina said. The delivery system is fantastic, no pots to reach into, just a simple, effective pump. The cream soaks right in, no balling and no irritation and I experienced a slight reduction in redness. I can't say that I feel less stressed when using it but I do like the way my skin looks. No biggie on the stress-front, it takes pharmaceuticals to really mellow me out. KIDDING, sort of. (My only complaint, I had a difficult time on the website, it kept bouncing around on me.) The other day someone said I didn't look like I was about to turn 36, that's nice. I don't mind looking 36, it's looking old and haggard that's a bitch......... Jeanasina, very, very, very (you get the point) funny review............................. Laughter+kick ass cream=perfection.
Oh, everyone in our family could definitely use this! Stress manifests differently in each of us. I am acne-prone and so is my brother so we break out when stressed. My sister gets major dark circles and enormous eye bags. My mom and dad aren't getting any tighter in the face area so they could definitely use this boost!
I love you "Dead Mama Walking"....LMAOROF!!! GREAT review but I gotta' stick my stiletto in here.I try a LOT of products...probably twice as many (via Meg and on my own) as the "average chick?" Within 4 hours of using this elixir,I was AMAZED!!!!! Seriously,on the first overnight ap,it was "obvious" that my skin was improved so I kept putting it on and within 2 DAYS,it was like a new face,I chit you not!!!I cannot remember tha last time a product impressed me so much: it's smooth, light, really creamy but totally absorbing and you feel like SILK in the am plus your skin is truly revived and smoother all the way around. It IS my new "Holy Grail" serum and I'm not going to be without it ANY time soon,it's perfection for my moody, sensitive skin!!!
Jeanasina, what a hoot you are, and so informative as well. I do like this product, a lot, and although at first I thought I was just wishing it into effectiveness, by the second week there was no doubt that my face was indeed improved in texture, clarity and brightness. I like it a lot, and will probably reorder, but who knows when that will be? A little bit is going a long, long way.
Wow thumbs up from Jeanasina and MJsRed I'm sold.I NEED THIS NOW- I have been waiting for the review with baited breath ever since I saw the ad on the side bar of megs makeup I was intriged and now even more so.I'm a neatnik and get pdoff on a daily basis because inthe middle of decorating coming up to christmas so much to do I swear every time a christmas ad comes on my skin is getting stressed. The whole be calm=look young is true though-Deepak Chopra has a new book out which works on the excact same premise-I know when I'm calmer I look much better-so this definately peaks my intrest to put it mildly.

Stress doesn't really affect me YET... I'm turning 16 soon, after all :\But this sounds like a great product to remember!
This sounds just magical Jeanasina! I can see stress has definitely taken a toll on my skin--I do tend to break out a bit. So I try to be extra careful about not trying new products when I'm stressed, cleaning my skin even more carefully than usual (an extra rinse with Cetaphil keeps it from drying out my skin), and a bit of Benzoyl Peroxide (10%).

When I'm stressed, my skin tends to be more oily than it already is. Since it's almost the end of the semester, I'll definitely need to try this!
Whenever I'm really stressed, my already oily skin gets SUPER oily and my makeup lasts about an hour. So I know the toll that stress takes on skin. I usually find that drinking lots of water and remembering to take my vitamins helps the most. Taking time to do facial masques also helps.
I'm too young to worry anout wrinkles right now, but I do notice how stress tires me out more.
Luckily for me I don't break out when I'm stressed :D
only thing i notice about my skin when times are stressful are tiny lil pimples that show up in the exact same spots. but other than that, everything else is cool
Yes when I get stressed my face is a mess. And then I get crazy about it and the stress makes me notice every wrinkle and then every wrinkle makes me stress... it's a horrible cycle! This product sounds interesting... I'd like to hear more reviews from folks with sensitive skin. Does it irritate at all?
stress makes me get pimples like a lot of you ladies. I so glad I don't have any added stress except college lol but other than that my life is pretty much peaceful
part of the thing about being stressed, for me, is i forget to eat and drink properly- so i get really dehydrated and it is the worst for my skin.. makes me even oilier and blackheads everywhere.. yup which leads to me getting pimples. grr. If i can try to remember to drink enough it might be better. Also for some reason if i am stressed i scratch my face more and touch it etc.. guess cos i am distracted and not thinking, this is never a good thing for my skin.. pimples .This product will have to be looked into further..
makeup makeup makeup!!!!!!!
Don't even mention stress at this point! This week has been nothing but a nightmare. It included 2 exams, endless piles of homework, AND Me witnessing a dog getting hit by a car and rushing it to the hospital with blood all over me and staying up till 3 am to find out is fate! I just have to make it through my last exam tonight.. and IM home free for a week off of school!! OMG PLEASE let me make it through tonight!!.But yes! My face takes its toll from the stresses of the day. Especially when im driving. I will look in the mirror and be like DAM LEIGHANN relax your face!! I have pretty devent wrinkles at this point. So this stuff sounds like it would do some good. I just splurged a little, whats a little more!
Tan is Love
OMG!!! How is the dog?
Oh wow.. hope you make it through the week unscathed!
Sounds relaxing! I do notice that I break out when I get super stressed, and that's never fun because then I get more stressed
...There is a strong relationship between the skin and the mind... this is so true. Skinvive sounds like something wonderful. Thanks for the informative review. :-)
I have been using this product for a little over two weeks and haven't noticed any change. I feel it is much to soon to notice. I do love the feel of my skin after use. It has a pleasant scent and absorbs quickly. I am massaging in using a technique I learned from a Korean facial massage therapist and really like the relaxing feeling. Given a longer amount of time I believe this will do all that it claims.

Stress breaks me out terribly. Especially along my chinline. I also think when I am stressed I eat badly and don't drink enough water, which certainly doesn't help my skin.
Stress for sure is a major factor in horrible skin! I never have issues with acne. I had a stressful year in 2009 and I saw breakouts more than ever.

This lotion seems great but I just can not afford the $60 price tag that goes with it.Stress is always a factor in my skin. I will get stressed out and end up with a horrible breakout, which of course only stresses me out more. (can you see a cycle here).

stress is soo bad for your skin and body!!
Letitahttp://letitaslogic.blogspot.com/
I definitely see the effects of stress on my body, health and also on my state-of-mind. It causes break-outs and can lead me to eat poorly, further affecting my body and well-being - it can be a viscous cycle! I try to find time for rest and relaxation every day and aim for 8 hours sleep every night without exception. This really helps. : ]
this is great, stress always end up getting the worst of my skin, i start to get all pimply, this seems like a great product, i doubt we'd have it here :(
stress doesn't break out my skin. It makes my skin dull.. .. but stress really affects my hair... a couple of strands of my hair near the crown will turn white... unbelievable but true.. when I'm stressed, my body is at its "best", I'd wake up on time, I don't feel hungry, I don't fall sick. The minute I'm relaxed, the flu will come on, and no alarm clock can wake me..
My stress and emotions level is definitely directly related to my skin. Whenever I have a stressful week, I always have breakouts around the mouth area and my skin just looks overall dull. This is a great idea behind a product and definitely worth a try.
OH its real Stress go directly in skin or hair ...
this looks like a great product!

Hmm, they say that your skin glows after you have sex.. Does it mean that when you're thinking about sex your skin glows as well? Lol, that just crossed my mind as I was reading the article.
Yes! Whenever I have stress, I break out ><
i tend to breakout when im stressed an sick ...i hate it
I could use this right now
