I SWEAR THIS IS FUN AND AWESOME AND YOU WILL NOT REGRET BEING A PART OF THIS!
Meg here! I am kind of bitter because I blame my lack of cooking skills on my parents. Every year I put "The Easy Bake Oven" on my list and every year it never showed up under the Christmas Tree. My mother would take a long drag on her cigg and say "No way we are getting you one of those Meg-you'll burn the damn house down!" Ironic, right?
So I can't cook very well. I can make an appetizer like nobody's business though.
I can't whip up a chef's meal but I do have some inside on to the organic and natural products recipe chart.
This is like a scavenger hunt-but I swear the fun and knowledge gained will be more then a balloon or a token t-shirt.
These are items that we are (on video-I know I'm annoying on video-stick with me please. For the love of God my parents wouldn't shell out the $19.95 for an easy bake oven-you think they're going to send a dime for me to be more camera ready?) Going to show you how to use to be more gorgeous!
So these are tried and true recipes from Hollywood Elite that we are going to work with you to make and try. Maybe one of you will become so great at them that Estee Lauder will buy you (like they bought everyone else-thanks mom and dad for not investing that 20 bucks!)
Please Add for our BEAUTIFUL RECIPE the following to your grocery list...
A Measuring Cup
Aloe Vera Gel
Lavender Vera Drops (essential oils)
Geranium Drops (essential oils)
Rose Otto Drops (essential oils)
We're going to show you how you can use these ingredients to make perfect presents and give to yourself all year long!
You have until Friday until we all work together on this! I hope you join in! Get those ingredients-we'll be showing you other uses as well!!

I'm in! Where's the best/easiest place to find essential oils? Grocery store? I've never bought them before so I have no clue!

Whole Foods should carry them. Do you have one near you? XOX Meg

Love it, count me in! Meg, you can borrow Isabelle's Easy Bake Oven anytime, she'll even show you how to use it. XOXOXO
Color me intrigued. All I have out of those is a measuring cup.. and aloe vera gelly, will that work? It's 99% av gel, by Lily of the desert (the only aloe gel I could find at WF about two years ago). Although I just looked at the ingredients again and am seeing Dimethicone, yuck. Plus it expires this month.. time to find a new, all natural av gel!
Yay, I've got everything except the rose otto, I'll get that tomorrow then wait impatiently to find out what to do with everything.

Hmmm this sounds interesting!

I'm in! The higher end grocery stores usually have an organic aisle with natural beauty products, and I am pretty sure you can find those oils there. Here in PA, it's the Super Giant, we have no WHole Foods where I live, but we do have a "healthy grocer", not sure it it's a chain or not, but they have all kinds of essential oils and pure aloe vera gel.
Woot! I'm excited, I think I need to go pick up some Geranium and Rose Otto drops to play along though.
Oh! This sounds very intriguing. I have never heard of geranium drops. Does it smell like the same scented geranium I have in my hanging baskets outside?
MEG-- After this post, I have to wonder how many easy bake ovens you get this year? :)
I love homemade beauty recipes and already have some of that stuff.

count me in...I love scaverger hunts and I really, really like recipes!!
Can't wait to see how this goes! I do have the measuring cup but need to buy all the other stuff. Whole Foods... here I come! I sure hope they have the essential oils and the aloe vera gel. My Whole Foods store isn't all that big. They absorbed the Wild Oats store and still don't have the selection that I remember from Philly.

Ok, I already own all these ingredients. Should we add glycerin, sweet almond oil and maybe some epsom salt?

This sounds like it's going to be hilarious. Am I going to need wine? Oh what am I saying, alcohol improves everything.
This sounds like fun, I can't wait to see how it goes
First off...I find it hysterical that your parents were worried about you burning down the house with what is essentially a LIGHT BULB! Yes Meg...the old Easy Bake used a light bulb to heat the brownie mix. You have my sympathies. I LOVED my Easy Bake...along with my Tonka Truck Big Wheel Dumptruck. I was a Renaissance gal!I'm in with the video to-do and I'm all ready with the ingredients. Friday here we come!
Love, hugs and shoes...Angie
This is interesting... I wonder what Meg will cook up!
My boyfriend loves essential oils and wears them himself, so this will be fun! Sprouts, Mother's Market and Whole Foods are great resources for them in my area.
Don't feel bad Meg I can't cook to save my life and mom actually showed me how and tried to teach me for years! But this sounds like I could have some making a mess in the kitchen so i'm gonna pick up the fixinsl tomorrow when I go grocery shopping. Can't wait to see what exactly we are going to try doing...
;) Gloss & Gum <3
