HOLIDAY ALERT! TARTE COSMETICS THREE CARATS MINI CHEEK STAIN KIT-ooh la la- It's gorgeous Santa!

Sweetassgal here today with another fabuloso Green Chi Tuesdays! Fabulous is a word that gets thrown around a LOT these days. This wine is fabulous, the restaurant is fabulous, your bag is fabulous...and they may very well be but what sets the fabulous apart from the UBER-fabulous? Well darlings...its all about the "oohhh" factor wrapped up in super shiny, superficial, and super HOT packaging! I know, I know...it's what's on the INSIDE that counts but sometimes I just want to wallow in shallow! Occasionally, don't we all? How else to you explain the fact that the Kardashian's have their own TV show? Shallow is the new talented.
K-clan aside there is nothing wrong with falling a little in love with just a package. Get your mind out of the gutter...NOT that kind...the kind that appears before you all sparkly and shining, with the light gleaming off of every facet and your eyes dancing with delight! The kind that is bejeweled and glittering and makes you squeal like a school girl. I'm talking about the SUPER adorable silver and rhinestone packaging of the new Limited Edition Tarte 3 Carats Mini Cheek Stain! The second I saw mine I was booty shakin' in my seat and ready to tackle anyone who would let me try it on them! I loved it that much...and I don't even use cheek color. Insert sad sigh of regret here. No worries...sparkly lovin' mavens abound and so I started out on my quest to bejewel the apple cheeks of my friends and family.
Everyone I tried it on had the SAME initial reaction..."OOOHHH...can I keep it!” Winner goes to the girl that looks the best in it and will appreciate the cuteness factor. Who wouldn't when it gives me the same intoxicating high as checking out the center stone of my wedding ring in great lighting! What newly engaged girl hasn't almost WRECKED their car because they were transfixed by the beautiful bevy of rainbow sparkles bouncing off their ring? Yep. That was me for sure!
But let’s not be too quick to assume its beauty is only rhinestone deep. This pretty little cheek stain comes a' trois with scrumptious shimmering Brilliant Champagne, Princess Rose and Cushion Apricot colors. All together as a mini-limited edition set to stuff stockings or keep for yourself depending on the occasion. The champagne would be GORGEOUS on deeper toned skin giving you a beautiful golden holiday glow, the rose GREAT for those who like the pink kissed tone of a brisk cold day and the apricot is perfect for warming up your cheeks and giving you a healthy shimmer for us paler girls who need a little OOMPH in the colder months. My friend Michelle (newly engaged and transfixed by her OWN hypnotic rock...CONGRATS!) tried the Cushion Apricot out with barely any face makeup on and it gave her the prettiest wearable glow. Not overly made up and obvious. Just a warm flush and sheer sparkle to the apples of her cheeks and with very little effort she was out the door and looking fresh faced and pretty! (side note…apply with fingertips and dab…this works best for application)
Lots of beauty guru's have their "top tricks" for quick beauty routines and in the winter months I'd have to say adding Tarte's 3 Carat Mini Cheek Stains to your repertoire is a sure fire winner. A dusting of powder or base, a little mascara, hit the cheeks with your choice in stain colors and a swipe of your favorite gloss will have you looking polished and glowing. Very French, very fabuleux, very scarf and chic boots sexy!
And more things to mention which should NOT be passed over...these smell INCREDIBLE! Incredible like if you were a kid and mom gave you one of those clear candy cane stocking stuffers filled with flavored lip balms you'd consider eating them first and blame it on your little brother later! And of course, as always, Tarte is infused with great natural skinvigorating ingredients such as Acai and Gogi berry, Pomegranate and Acerola and Maracuja known for reducing redness. Well you've got me there Tarte!
This beautiful (on the inside and out...I give in!) set is available for the holiday season and as I've mentioned...perfect for sharing or being the Grinch Who Stole Tarte and keeping them all to yourselves! GLAM ON!
Editor's note-I had to break up the trio's because Tarte had almost already sold out of these. This is why you'll see reviews on one instead of three. I had Brilliant Champagne and will review on its brilliance. It wasn't possible to get our paws on the whole kit because production had not finished at the time. Now it has finished....Lucky you! They're awesome!

OOh they are soo cute. Definitely gonna get me some!
I was looking at these during the Sephora FF sale recently but I already had a really large cart so they didn't make the cut. I did get a mini Tarte cheek stain in a Sephora set with items from various brands, and I really like it. I'll definitely consider it again next time a good sale comes around :)
:O look at that!!!!! I don't think we sell tarte over here :( *sigh* i would totally buy this just for the packaging!!! diamante on a cheek stain, the creators are geniuses!

I remember getting an email about those a little while back, and not really looking twice at it on the site after seeing that there were no pictures of the actual colors. However, this review prompted me to do a little searching (unfortunately, should have left well enough alone), and sure enough they're right there on Sephora. Blast! The packaging is definitely fab, although I could see taking it out of my purse and being distracted by it just like I get by my ring, lol. I love the convenience of the cream blushes, I actually just got my first one today (Clinique) in a similar package (minus bling). So much easier to apply than loose powder blush!
They look so pretty, I'd buy them just for the cute packaging.

No international shipping makes me something-something. Great review though, Sweetassgal! These look amazingly cute! :D
they sounds super pretty.. as for shallow being the new talented...ugh. sad.

I know...isn't it just the saddest thing ever?

Killer packaging--so cute! The compact size would be super handy too, so easy to just toss in your bag and go.

These are adorable! I have used a Tarte cheekstain in one color or another for years, often I call it my "sex in a stick" because of hte lovely natural flush it gives,LOL! I have this sparkler in the "Princess" shade of pink and it's very nice: I don't know what they changed about the scent of this one but it's rather odd to me,having so many others...not bad, just different.I think this will make the perfect gift for any female on your list and Tarte scores another hit!Who can ever resist some extra glitter in their lives???
Okay first off, LOVE THE PACKAGING!! I never tried a cheekstain before.

I think you will remember that in 2005 celebrity Paris Hilton began using "That's hot!" as a catch phrase. Over the years she finally toned down her use of this constant phrase. However, I am betting that the day she set her eyes on this new sparklelicious rhinestone covered silver tube of tarte glam cheek stain - that those beloved words went flying out of her mouth at the speed of light in capital letters!! This tube alone just is so exciting on it's own merit! Marilyn Monroe would have owned this tube and I bet it would have constantly been sparkling under the blazing flashbulbs from the paparazzi that surrounded her with their mega bright cameras. As the wife of a Harley man I can say I'd love to whip this tube out of my leather jacket when we are out and about and let the people see that I had some bad ass makeup products on me! LOL! I love the blush it gives to me – I just let it glide over my cheekbones and then blend it in with my fingertips and as that vixen goddessgranny indicated it DOES give you the I've just been sexed up blush! LOL! Sweetassgal's review here had me laughing..”How else do you explain the fact that the Kardashian's have their own TV show? Shallow is the new talented.” and agreeing completely with everything she said! I use it on days that I don't wear makeup and just want a little natural looking blush with a side of lipstick! These would definitely be great gifts for BBFs! I can tell you this, you know how they have xmas stockings for your pet that are plastic and see through??? I can just imagine if your stocking was this same plastic 'see through' material and it was hanging by the chimney with care...there would be a tear in the stocking or scissors slashes where somebody broke into the stocking just to see what this silver entrancement is! This wonderful tarte cheek stain is a quality product that comes in a quality package! I received the champagne stain color - it's a barely there color that adds just the right gentle blush to my cheeks. For fun I did a little 'glide across' my lips over my lipstick and it added a nice little soft shine to them! THIS IS A GO product in my book as in GO AND GET IT NOW! ;)
Jeanasina!
Want!Want!Want!Oh come on for the packaging alone-"They had me at hello".Christmas packaging is a danger for me-I get like circuit overload and want to buy everything-the colours sound perfect for paleo me-especially the princess rose(love the out in the cold glowy cheek look)who am I kidding? I want them all!.Could the champagne be used as a highlighter?

Thanks for the application tip! I have a cheek stain (Sephora) and hardly used it because I didn't know the best way to put it on. I was just rubbing it on my cheeks like you put on chapstick, and it didn't look very flattering at all. I'm going to try using my fingers and see how that works for me.

I love Tarte Cheek Stains!!! They make blush easy for me! I am notoriously bad at blush. With these you just smile. Dot them on the apples of your cheeks. Then blend with your fingers. It is so easy. It is virtually fool-proof! I swear. They blend so easily. These stains practically melt into your skin!
I have never used a cheek stain. I am always afraid that I am going to end up putting too much on and look like an idiot.I did check out the sephora website because I wanted to see the colors. (even though the packaging really is devine). Here is the link: http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P247381&shouldPaginate=true&categoryId=5648#These colors are just so pretty!

Really the best application is to run your ring finger over the top of the stain, dab onto the apple of your cheek and lightly blend upwards. You can use it alone or with a light dusting of powder. It should look gorgeous and the best part is it LASTS ALL DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love, hugs and shoes...Angie
Thanks Sweetassgal for the application tips.I just got one of these today in my package from Meg. I got Princess, which is really the most lovely pink. I tried it today using your tip. It leaves such a delicate flush on the cheeks. I think I may have to buy them all now.

Lately I've been doing the whole nude look everywhere except my mouth and brows. (Is it chic or total lazy-girl behavior, hmmm?) This little stick of love fit right into my new routine. I got it in Brilliant, of course it's brilliant daaahling! (couldn't resist) It's a champagne, pinkish color that looks pretty just about anywhere you put it. I used it as a highlighter on the tops of my cheekbones, under and over my brow bone and on the center of both top and bottom lips. NICE! As a Tarte addictee this totally gives me the fix I've come to expect and the play on light brightens your face perfectly without going overboard. This wouldn't work as a blush for me (too light) but I have my Tarte in Blushing Bride for that. I like to top my cheek stains with either a powder blush or a finishing powder to help with staying power. This set is the perfect gift to self or to you BFF or to yourself or to yourself ;) ........... How cool, when Meg sent us this it wasn't even finished with the production process?!? Exciting stuff.....
Stylepapa
O.K., sometimes a computer really can make you laugh. OOOOOPS, that was supposed to be posted under STYLEMAMA'S COMMENTS. Stylepapa does not in fact wear Tarte Cheek Stains.......... At least not that I'm aware of, scary thought......
I can't resist anything by Tarte, and even though I had sworn off anymore presents for me until I finish my gift list, I have to have this!!! The packaging, the fact that it's Tarte, the perfection that is their cheekstains, I have to have one!
If i was big on blush and cheek stains, i would def. invest in this :)
Honestly Tonette...with beautiful skin like yours you would look great in the Champagne color. It's a golden hue that would highlight just a little sparkle on your upper cheek bone (which from your pic shows it would be perfect). If I had your pretty skin tone I'd DEFINITELY give it a try! This color isn't so much a blush as it is a shimmer of golden warmth.
Love, hugs and shoes...Angie
"Shimmer of golden warmth" Ok, you weren't even talking to me and I'm totally sold by that description, lol.
Oooooh me want me want too !!!! Don't those 3 just look so cute !!!! But I have never ever used a cheek stain is it any good with mineral foundation or would it take it off ?????
I'm curious about that too, Sharon!
Adorable packaging:) I'd love some apricot, sounds like a gorgeous color. However, don't know if these are sold in Europe. I have never seen Tarte in any store.
I put mineral veil over top of it to set it. It stays on practically all day!
I love cheek stains! When I was a girl I used to steal my mom's Bonne Bell cheek stain and I probably looked like a clown using it!
Sounds awesome!! I'm not a huge fan of cheek stains, they seem to over emphasize my pores for some reason. At least that Benetint from Benefit did, maybe this stuff would be better!
I want these for the packaging alone, but I love Tarte cheek stains. They last forever. I got some of the little ones for Christmas last year, and they're great for travel, gifts, or to keep in your purse. They give such a natural flush. For application, I like to dot it on with my fingers over moisturizer and then rub it in. These new colors sounds great!
cheek stain?! SO cool! and this cute little packaging just makes me want to buy them more...
I just saw this in a magazine I was reading as a Steal vs Splurge (Nars Orgasm blush). Then I come and see it on Meg's! Looks cute!
Ah love these so much!
I love Tarte cheek stains. They are moist and go on so perfectly, you look like you just got a bit of sun or blushed at the most hunky man. This is one of the best blushes I have ever used. I rate this a must buy.

LOVE the glitz. I have one of the original stains in Flush. I really like it. It's a really good color for me - although I have to watch the application because too much can turn me from fabulously flushed to perfect pink circle cheeked China doll. A quick lap around the top of the product with my ring finger and tap on the apples of my cheeks and I am good to glow, er, flush that is. It takes so little to make the effect, I don't see how I'll ever use the whole thing up (they're huge)! The minis are adorable. I wish they had pictures of the colors though. @philogene and hrhtracey: Sharon, Tracey, all I wear is mineral makeup and I've never had a problem. I just tap gently and don't really rub, more like press it into my skin and the makeup stays pretty much. I get a little rubbed off, but not enough to deter me because the results are great.
They look so cute!
They look so pretty! I wish someone will give this to me for Christmas!
Ha!Ha!-stylemama that's the best laugh I had all day.I was reading it with an open mind until I got to the blushing bride cheek stain thinking he was just taking male grooming to a new level a la beckham and then the penny dropped!!!.At least if he was a make up addict you would have twice as much cosmetics to play with.

These are awesome and so cute...I should add them to my wishlist
These sound incredible & I just love the glam packaging. I'm not really much of a cheek stain person, but these are so cute & really inexpensive, I may be putting these on my xmas list :) The peachy one looks incredible!
Tarte cheekstains are absolutely amazing, and these are a really good deal (seriously, I don't think I'll ever get around to using up the regular sized stain that I have! It's huuuuge). As sweetassgal said, these work best when patted, not rubbed, onto your cheeks. A really brilliant product, in my opinion.

This is gorgeous! I'm so glad it was included in my package from Meg! I've been so busy being a mommy I need to catch up on stuff like this!

These look cute and I love the packaging but I've never been able to get cheek stains applied right - i either do too much or not enough. Maybe with all the helpful tips found here I can get these and figure it out!
I've actually never tried Tarte products but i have heard a lot about them. I would definitely be interested in trying them.

This looks so pretty. I'm am loyal to my MAC blushes. A few months ago I used the sephora stick blush . That was nice, I just needed a change. That's when I found MAC creme blush. but my-o-my: mjsred you just got me thinking about this blush in a whole new light ..."Sex on a stick". Now, I HAVE TO get it (blush).
I totally love this! I got my package from Meg the other day and one was in there. I'm so using it today!!! Then, I will review!
