MIXED CHICKS AT PLANET BEAUTY!
MissRo here! This is for all our California Megheads. I'm sure you probably do a fair amount of shopping online for your beauty products or you venture into your neighborhood Sephora. Well, why not discover a new place to shop for beauty!
Planet Beauty is a chain of beauty stores found up and down the coast of California. You can find them anywhere between San Jose and Laguna Niguel. They do carry some brands that Sephora carries, but also a lot of brands they don't such as Mixed Chicks, Moroccan Oil, Era Face Foundation, Pure Fiji Spa, and many others.
Planet Beauty carries the full line of products for Mixed Chicks. You can of course purchase their products online at mixedchicks.net, but if you want to check out the products before purchasing, then Planet Beauty is your place. They have 27 locations in California and I'm sure you can find a location near you. For the rest of our Megheads across the US and internationally, Mixed Chicks is sold worldwide.
Are you familiar with Planet Beauty? What is your go-to place for buying beauty products?

Man, West Coasters have all the fun! I'm stuck in the cold with no cool beauty stores *sulks*!
If I wasn't on the east coast I'd be a little jealous ;) Luckily we have great places, too. I really wanna try Mixed Chicks and have been curious about the Moroccan Oil brand shampoo/conditioner.

I'm always so jealous when I hear about these great beauty stores popping up. I shouldn't complain too much, but I'm about 45 minutes to an hour's drive away from Ulta/Sephora. But the only times I can go there is with my hubby since I'm scared out of my mind to drive through the big city to get there. Luckily I LOVE shopping online, so it's not too much of a problem for me. And Morrocanoil is awesome!

sounds like a great place to shop:) Unfortunately I can't shop at this store, or Ulta or Sephora:( For you European ladies, go to feelunique.com. Great site that has loads of brands with really good prices. Iam a frequent customer at feelunique:)
I never even heard of Mixed Chicks until I discovered this site, i think it could be a killer brand here in FL since we have soooo many types of people here. I myself would like to try, just to see how well it would work for me.
Great heads up...thanks for posting this! I'm so happy to see there's one in North San Diego County!
Nice, i wish we had something like this.

I haven't heard about this until now... I wish I was on the west coast so I could check it out in person!

I now have another reason I lived on the west coast. I had to wait forever just to get a Sephora around here. Who knows, maybe one day they will expand to the east coast (probably not).Have fun any of you ladies that can actually go to these stores.

Another great place to shop for beauty products that's not Sephora, is Blue Mercury. In my area, they're in Philadelphia, Atlantic City, that area, and I'm not sure where else they are. They're a great source for really upscale products, many, but not all of which are also found in Sephora.
aww so close, yet so far!IM in washington state :(. But i did try mixed chicks from their website! In the town i live in we have NO BEAUTY STORES for at least 2 hours!!Cant wait till thanksgiving im going to visit friends and max out my credit card!!

I'm so jealous of all the amazing stores you have in the USA. My favorite store over here is Mecca Cosmetica. It has amazing products but they are so expensive.

I haven't heard of Mixed Chicks before. I do have a Sephora and an Ulta nearby, which is dangerous! I think I don't need any other beauty suppliers close to me...
I wish we had something like this here in Asia. If I could live in this store, I definitely would! Haha
lol I totally agree!
I have three Sephoras and two Ultas within 25 minutes of me, I know I'm so lucky. The one Sephora is about five minutes from my home and they know me there quite well. Walking in there it's always the friendly welcome (Kind of like "Norm"...cheers!) :-) This 'Planet Beauty' seems great. Just the fact they carry Moroccan Oil is good with me. When I go out California this Spring I'll definitely check it out. Thanks.
My sister uses Mixed Chicks. I hear so many good things about their products. I just have yet to try them myself.

You guys get all the cool stores! I'm stuck in the middle of nowhere with absolutely nowhere cool to shop. Thank god for the internet!
I love going into stores, I'd rather smell and touch then just blindly buy. I have ulta/sephora close by but I like the little beauty stores better. I did blindly buy the mixed chicks leave in condition thanks to MissRo's post. I've only used it once so far and was happy with it but I think I used too much. Anyway I liked it better than my Aveda Be Curly that works well but not as good as Mixed Chicks and I got a lot more for the price.

Ooh, this looks amazing! Hope the California Megheads make the most of this! :D
No Mixed Chicks in Australia yet - but I don't have curly hair, so don't know why I am jealous! Every Mixed Chicks review has been amazing, so thats probably why!! Californians, I hope you have fun with this!!
We had one of these back home, and I never knew it was a chain, nor did I try Mixed Chicks. However, when I go back for winter break I'll definitely be trying this out!My go-to place for beauty products is definitely Sephora - it's a mecca of beauty products and it allows us to try before we buy! Win-win situation :)

I wish we had good places like this :(
