SO UNIVERSALLY CLEAN YOU CAN EAT OFF MY FACE™...WHAT!?
MissRo here and yes, that's the title of Cosminology's cleanser
. I am extremely picky about the type of cleanser I use. I have been using Juice Beauty's Green Apple Cleansing Gel for almost a year now and I love it! However, the other day I ran out and honestly I was too lazy to go to Sephora to replenish it. So, I thought perfect timing to try Dr. Dima's cleanser.
I first used their Global Debris Remover Get Cosmically Naked makeup remover to take off all my makeup and then used the cleanser. It's a non-foaming botanical antioxidant wash. It is more of a cream cleanser so it is extremely gentle and really effective for removing debris and impurities without stripping your skin of its moisture. You can either wash off the cleanser or use a cloth to take off the cleanser and then finish by splashing your face with cool water to close your pores. I always use toner no matter what just to make sure all my makeup and dirt is off. It's also a refreshing feeling before putting on moisturizer.
So Universally Clean You Can Eat Off My Face™ has Vitamin E, lavender essential oil and aloe synergistically combined to soothe and replenish moisture to your skin, leaving it ultra soft and clean. Lavender Essential Oil is a detoxifying botanical that has tremendous antiseptic and natural antibiotic skin benefits. Aloe Vera is a highly regarded botanical, the ultimate gift from nature to calm skin inflammation and redness, while soothing and moisturizing. Vitamin E is an antioxidant and free-radical fighter that helps boost skin's defense against environmental damage.
So, if you are a gel cleanser kind-of-gal, I am not sure if this is the cleanser for you. If you are a cream cleanser kind-of-gal this is definitely the cleanser for you! I will say this, even if you like gel cleansers and you live in a cold climate, I would change to a cleanser like this, because gel cleansers can really strip the skin of its moisture. In the winter, you want to keep your skin as moisturized as possible, because very dry, flaky skin can create wrinkles and no one wants that.

At night I use St. Ives Microdermabrasion cleanser. It works amazingly well for my face. In the morning most of the time I'm too lazy to use any cleanser so I just use plain water.

Hi there punkeydew...you are clearly a regular on this site and anyone who donates plasma to be able to buy products deserves a Dr. Dima's Cosminology sample kit! You have beautiful skin by the way so hopefully you'll keep it looking youthful by using self-tanner rather than UV tanning. Send me an email to AskDrDima@cosminology.com if you'd like a kit!
I use a handmade facial soap with lavender and a handmade lavender grain cleanser that you add water to to make a paste. I love them both and they have done wonders for my skin. I have to say that I am so picky that when I find a system that works for me I stick to it. Just thinking about trying something else and having to go through the heartbreak of will it work or not is enough to make my heart start skipping. LOL.
I'm a cream cleanser kinda girl, but this still seems like it's meant for people with oily/normal skin.. not moisturizing enough for dry/sensitive skin like mine in harsh NY winters.

I use this cleanser and I love it! The very first time I used it I was amazed at how creamy it was and it felt totally luxurious on my skin. I live in VA and we can get really cold wind chills, aloe and vitamin e are really moisturizing and soothing indredients.

I use a gel cleanser, it's a pHisoderm one with salicylic acid. I've been using it for awhile with my Clarisonic and I have no complaints, I'm on my third bottle actually!
gel all d way away more refreshing
The name of this cleanser is very cheeky!I use gel during the summer when I'm more oily, and cream in the winter when my skin tends to be drier. Not really dry, but since I'm used to being oily, normal skin seems dry to me.
I like gel cleansers. They always make my face feel so refreshed.
I'm a cream cleanser kind of girl. I just don't like the feeling of gel over my skin. At the moment I'm using Lush's Aqua Marina cleanser, which is clay based.
i prefer any cleanser that lathers a little but not too foamy. so it can start as a cream or gel but i need a little suds. i like cetaphil because it's clear but i'd like it a little more if it has more moisturizing properties which might mean it needs to be more creamy.

i'm not a big fan of foam cleanser.. my first cleanser was a foam cleanser, although it was cool how the liquid squirts out as foam.. to my mere fascination of how that may have occurred i continued using that cleanser even though it did absolutely nothing to my skin..now i'm more of a gel cleanser person, atm my fav cleanser is from pure and clear, it "kinda" help control my skin... "kinda"... but the great thing is that it's the only cleanser i've tried that doesn't dry my skin out later on!

I love cream cleansers and this one sounds heavenly. I am so tempted to place a Cosminology order, all of the products sound so nice.

Cosminology's products have really cute names! I use both types of cleansers. I'm finishing a cream cleanser -- it's actually really good, probably the only cleanser that kept my break outs at bay. But it's way too expensive and the price had increased nearly 50% since I started using it years ago. My new alternative is a gel cleanser that foams, which leaves my skin feeling soft and not drying.
I guess I use a gel one - it's more of a scrub really. It's from Noxzema and it's citrus scented. It's pretty awesome. It's super refreshing and helps keep my acne from flaring up. This cleanser sounds really nice, I used to hate the smell of lavender, but it's really starting to grow on me.
I admit I am usually more of a gel cleanser person but I still want to try this. I may just have to splurge a bit...at least I will have the 15% discount...thanks Meg!

What is Cetaphil classed as? Probably more of a gel. But I do occasioanally use a cream cleanser to get my heavy ballet makeup off. I was just posting how I love and use Cetaphil in its own review, but this just sounds so great, I'd certainly put my cetaphil on the back burner to give it a try!
My skin is really oily, and I wear a lot of makeup, so gel cleansers are the only thing that gets my face really clean. I use a makeup removing oil first, then the cleanser, then, if I'm not too tired or lazy, a toner. I have tried a variety of cream cleansers, and they are not for me.
Aloe... lavender... vitamin E... was this stuff made for me or what? I think I would still probably add my TTO to it, ya know, to get my fix. I think I'm going to add this to my ever-growing wish list.
Love the name! And the ingredients list sounds so refreshing.
gel for sure! (:I think i've used a cream cleanser once or twice... but it always feels like there's some residu on my skin...
I use a cream cleanser, I find they aren't so harsh on my skin. Right now I'm using Neutrogegn'as Stress Control cream cleanser. It smells really light and fresh, like cucumbers. It's also helped with my acne tremendously. I love it!
MissRo I tend to alternate my cleansers, as many beauty experts In The Know have recommended to me. Skin's requirements change through the seasons. In Winter you're continually sucking out moisture by blasting your skin with heaters, so a creamy cleanser is required to restore balance and gently put back that lost moisture. In the warmer Summer months sweat can cause oiliness and a build-up of dirt on the face, so as a general rule foaming cleansers are the way to go to properly and thoroughly cleanse the face and prevent break-outs.I strongly recommend changing your cleanser as the seasons change!
I really like the scent of Aloe Vera. That would be the the one I'd get =)
hmm, ive always been using a gel cleanser and not so much a cream cleanser. But it does sound like a valid reason to switch to it during the colder seasons. Nice! :D
I'm such a gel cleanser chick. My hg wash is Kiss My Face Start Up exfoliating cleanser. This stuff sounds good though! I really dont think I've ever used cream cleanser, I like the name of this, Dr. Dima has such a neatly named line of products!
I mainly use cream cleansers but I'd like to switch to a gel formulation. I'm eyeing the one from Juice Beauty!
I've been using cream cleansers for a couple of years now. I used to think that I needed to use gels because of my combination skin. But now I love cream cleansers. Cream cleansers make my skin so soft:)
I prefer gel cleansers but sometimes I use cream cleansers because I like to switch to another product to prevent my skin gets used.
I'm a cream cleanser girl because i feel my skin dry with a gel ... i don't know if its real or if it's my imagination ...
I prefer a gel cleanser, after its been used your skin feels so nice and refreshed!
Love Jadeee :D
this looks like a great product!

I have a cream cleanser for sensitive skin from Lavera, it's very gentle and I only use it when my skin is irritated. My skin feels more clean when I use Chagrin Valley soaps.
I like gel cleansers in the warmer months and creme or milk cleansers in the colder months
I use a gel cleanser at night (after using an oil to remove makeup) but i like to use a cream cleanser in the morning. Cream cleansers are less drying and i find if i use something too drying in the morning then my face gets super oily during the day. x
