AWAKEN YOUR SKIN'S YOUTHFUL GLOW!

Sun, 11/01/2009 - 10:09am
  • Face

CoreYourPoresIn light of Halloween, it's time for a little pumpkin enzyme. MissRo here! I am not sure how your Halloween was, but mine was fabulous! My Dad is visiting from Toronto, Canada and there is no other place that is better to celebrate Halloween, but in West Hollywood for the Halloween Carnaval Parade.

We started our night at Mexico, this fun, little Mexican restaurant that has a great patio that overlooks Santa Monica blvd, where the parade takes place. Funny enough, we bumped into Meg and Megken! Small world! We had a fair share of Margarita, delicious fish tacos, and then it was time to walk up and down the Boulevard. There was roughly half a million people in the streets! It was the largest Halloween party we have ever been to.

OK, back to Pumpkin Ezyme. That is what's in Cosminology's Galactic Core Your Pores Anti-Matter Mask™. Well after last night, my skin needed some lovin'. So, I woke up this morning, cleansed and scrubed, and then put on a nice layer of the mask on. I did feel a slight tingling, but it felt good and that something was happening, that it was working on my skin. After about 15 minutes, I washed it off with cool water and I always finish with wiping toner over my face to make sure I got everything off. I have to tell you, my skin felt great! Smooth, soft, and my pores felt tight and squeaky clean.

Pumpkin Enzymes is the main ingredient and makes an excellent face mask ingredient for all skin types, especially environmentally damaged or sensitive skin. High in Vitamin A, C, E, folate, zinc and pantothenic acid, pumpkin enzyme is a very effective compound for cellular renewal.  It is a natural and effective keratinolytic and yet is low in irritation. Long known for its natural wound healing properties, it is now well established that pumpkin is high in carotenoids. These compounds are essential in protecting skin (especially sensitive skin) from free radical formation and the damaging effects of UV light.

This product is great for acne, hyperpigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles. I am going to continue to regularly use this mask, because I want to work on the fine lines I have on my forehead and the fact that I break out all the time on my chin.

Do you use a mask on a regular weekly basis? Have you ever used any products that have pumpkin enzyme in it?

I LOVE anything with pumpkin!!! Have used Rhonda Allison's pumpkin-based products for years (as do many top spas!) and for my skin-type,it's one of the most effective enzymes I have found...cleans and clears with minimal irritation.i atually whipped up a "batch" of something and smeared it on yesterday after carving up my pumpkin. :)Thanks to Meg and Dr. D for the discount as well...now I'm in troubs,LOL!

Wow! I come out of lurkdom twice in one day! MissRo speaks the truth. Pumpkin peels are so good and dislodging any nasty impurities from your face! I had a date and my skin was not looking too great. It was pretty broken out and blackhead nation. I grabbed my "Galactic Core Your Pores" . It did sting but only for about a minute. I put it on pretty thick and after 25 minutes, looked into the mirror and it looked like I had hardly put any on! My skin literally drank it up! I knew I was getting a bit Oily but Good Lord! I hopped in the shower and the hot water malted the remaining mask off. It also melted away alot of my gross blackheads and my skin definitely felt tighter. I am making this mask a weekly ritual!

My goodness, this mask sounds amazing! I need this! I've never tried anything with pumpkin enzymes.  How about if I just slapped on some fresh pumpkin on my face, would that work too?  Or should I just probably eat it? Haha. :)

This sounds great. I don't think that I've ever used any products with pumpkin, other than a moisturizer. My "go to" mask it Alba's Papaya Enzyme Facial Mask. It gives a slight tingle, and leaves my skin super smooth. I've kept the Juice Beauty Green Apple mask in my regular rotation, but I can't use it in the morning, because it leave my skin red for awhile.

I am so jealous of your halloween night.....how were the fish tacos?  I've never had fish tacos but have always wanted to try them!  As for the mask--it sounds so delightful.  I have been using the aztec secret mask once in a while (not as much as i should).  I use it with apple cider vinegar and boy does your face pulse!  When i wash it off my face --it is bright red and i look silly.  I may just have to try this one.....

I use some sort of avacado and oatmeal clay mask from the drug store... to best completely honest it shows no difference, my pimples are still there.. my pores are still there.. I think it's time for a change! this sounds like a great product :)

This sounds like a great product as has everything you've reviewed from this line. It is a little out of my price range right now so I will have to put it on my wish list. I am currently using a handmade mask I bought from an Etsy seller. It's dead sea clay mixed with white clay, charcoal, lavender eo & tea tree oil. I try to use it every other day to keep my pores clean and once a week I mix it with apricot seeds to exfoliate. It works wonders for me as long as I am diligent and keep up with it.

I'd used a pumpkin yoghurt mask from silk naturals. It comes in powder and I just mix it with water into a paste.  Don't think there was any significant effect from using the mask.  I can't remember. I have so many different masks now that I should be on a no-buy for masks.

I would LOVE to try this mask! I have heard about the wonders of pumpkin. Currently, I'm not using a mask on a regular basis--haven't found one that I love enough. I'm using a sample of Nude's Miracle Mask, but I'm not that impressed. This mask sounds like it would right up my alley: I have blackheads, scars, some rough patches, etc.... I've poked around a little on the Cosminology web site, and this whole line looks wonderful!

Pumpkin enzyme masks are a necessary part of my skin maintenance routine. I use one by June Jacobs, and love it, but at $78 for a 4 ounce tub, it's on the pricey side, and I'd like to find a more affordable alternative.

I love pumpkin masques! I remember when BBW had one and Oprah made it one of her favorite things, and all of a sudden you couldn't get it anymore, it was completely sold out. Now they don't make it anymore, so I may just give this one a try, since I've never been able to find a good replacement for it.
