bella Meg here! Compacts in theory are so convenient. Everything that you would need to put your best face forward right at the tips of your dainty fingers? All in one in a gem of pink and mesh lace? The only problem is when companies just don't get the shades right. The value goes away when you only are using 2 of the 6 eye shadows because-Magenta for everyday eyes? Really.

I adore palettes and this one looks amazing! My favorite one though came from Trish McEvoy. It was tiny, slim and had some great lip and eye colors, not to mention a blush and powder. Or was it concealer? I don't remember and I used it up. But truly, it was great for on the go touchups. Now this one... the colors look good and the architecture of the whole thing really makes it efficient.

The Stila Blanc Palette is a great little workhorse that is perfect for warm toned, fair to light skinned gals. It also has the most beautiful coral colored blush I have seen (and haven't been able to dupe *sob!*). Josie Maran's My Favorite Powders is a winner, too, and would look good on a wider variety of skin tones.

how cute! i don't own any palettes just because i'm afraid that not all the colors will work, but they can definitely save someone a lot of money! my sis has a Tarte palette that she got for Xmas last year and sometimes i'll use some of the lip colors and blushes. that palette has some really great products, but i wish the eyeshadows weren't as chalky or i wish they were more pigmented.

I'm not generally a big fan of palettes because end up not using many of the products (I really don't care for palettes that include lipgloss/lipstick, I rarely use bronzer or blush...)However, I dearly love the Cargo Essential eyeshadow palette. It is such a great staple to have on hand and good quality. My other favorite palette is a Clinique gift with purchase eyeshadow palette that is nearly gone. :)

I've never been one to buy palettes. Not sure why? Maybe because I thought they cost too much, or wouldn't be good quality or I wouldn't use everything in it, I don't know. I agree, many palettes I have seen have some jacked up colour combos. I always look at them in the stores and think how pretty they are, but then when you get up close I start thinking "why would I ever want this colour?". I only have a small one from Benefit, and I hardly ever use the glosses even though they are very pretty. I guess I just don't like messing with a brush to apply my lip colour when I can just sweep a lipstick on.I really like eyeshadow quads though, most places do a good job of combining four colours that look great together and I don't have to go searching for several single eyeshadows to do my makeup. My favourites are Lancome (all of mine were GWP) and Lise Watier. Beautiful colours, and the Lise Watier ones come with a little card that show you where to apply each colour.

That's not a bad price 14.99 esp if I can use all of it. See that is the thing.. there always tends to be some stuff in a pallette that I cant use at all. OOh custom pallettes! wouldnt it be great if we got to make our own.. even from all the makeup we love meaning dif companies! how awesome that would be. Oh well for now I make do with a nice makeup bag for travel and take sample sizes of my fave products.. which happens to be mostly EDM. Just cos they are so good. That thing though, looks real pretty, come here my pretty.
