MIXED CHICKS! TAME YOUR FRIZZ!
MissRo here! For those that have naturally curly hair, you may be upset to hear that I usually only where my hair curly when I go swimming or I'm at the beach. Every other time, I like to blow dry it straight, because it's just easier for me to take care of and I end up washing my hair only a couple of times a week. However, the other day I wore my hair curly only because I had the help of Mixed Chicks Leave-In Conditioner.
I washed and conditioned my hair as usual. Towel-dried my hair just to squeeze out the excess water. Combed my hair, parted my hair on the side, and massaged through the Leave-In Conditioner. So far, so good! It was light-weight, non-sticky, and as my hair started to dry and my curls started to form, I had no frizz and my hair was super shiny.
Now, anyone can get frizzy hair. You don't have to have curly hair to have frizz. So, this product is for you too! One of the things I tried was mixing the leave-in conditioner with a little of my styling cream before I blow-dried my hair. You only need a drop, but it really helped to tame my frizz and my blow-out looked great. Even for wavy hair, you can use this product too.
I might have mentioned this before in another post, but even if you wear your hair naturally curly everyday, you still don't need to wash your hair on a daily basis. So, this is when the leave-in conditioner really works. Obviously, to have nice curls you need to wet your hair everyday, but you don't need to wash it. You just wet it, come out of your shower, put in the conditioner, style your hair, and you're done! That's it! You'll notice that your hair will be silky smooth and healthier, because you are not stripping it of it's natural oils which is what happens when you wash your hair everyday.
What is your go-to styling product for your hair, curly, wavy, or straight? Do you let your hair dry naturally when it's curly or do you use a diffuser? We want to know!

I used PM Styling Foam and Round trip.. I just don't understand how some curly-girls say it is easier to deal with straightening your hair and wearing it straight, than it would be naturally curly (with the proper cut, of course). I spend less time on my hair than my roommate and she straightens hers. Plus curly hair always looks styled, straight doesn't. /end rant. That's my argument for pro-curly. You should wear it that way more often MissRo! xoxo

Love this article! I have naturally curly/wavy hair. 99% of the time I let it air dry. My HG products are Fekkai Glossing Cream and Morrocanoil. Great stuff that I now can't live without! I just rub either one in my hair right after washing/conditioning and towel drying it, and let it air dry. I started using the glossing cream maybe 6 months ago, and I wished I had known about it years earlier as my hair was always such a mess because I didn't know how to work with the natural curls.

I have slightly wavy (not straight, not curly) hair. I don't usually spend too much time on my hair in the morning--I sometimes flatiron it a bit, but frequently just leave it as is. I also love Fekkai Glossing Cream. Some of my other fave products are Johnson & Johnson Leave-in Conditioner, and Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum.

I had the same problem and acutally didn't even know I had wavy hair until I was like 20. I'm going to try the Fekkai Glossign Cream.

P.S. the only time I ever straighten my hair is if it is already really smooth and more wavy versus curly after letting it air dry. This doesn't happen often though, which is why I never have split ends. No hot styling for me!

This is exactly what I've been posting about this product ever since I got a bottle when I cashed in my 250 points! It's all you need, and all you have to do is wash, comb, and put it on. Air dry, and you're good to go! I even went to the site and ordered another bottle, the conditioner and the shampoo, that's how much I use it and dont' want to run out! But I have to say that I do like my hair straight better, but because it's so thick and porous, the entire straightening process takes me about 2 hours, blow-dry to flat-iron, and how often is there that much time to spend on just your hair?
My hair is naturally wavy. I use gel to scrunch to make the waves more defined for an easy look, otherwise I'll blow dry and iron it straight. To wear my hair curly. the best thing I've found is Curlformers, which someone on here recommended. I love them! I could never do good curls on myself with a curling or straightening iron, but I don't have trouble with these, even on the back of my head. And when I wear them overnight the curl stays all day, no falling!
oh wow, I remember moon's endorsement of the Curlformers. I'm still tempted to get them, because I am so lazy with my hair! Putting them in before bed and having pretty curls in the morning sounds just ideal.
LOOOOOOOVE Curlformers! They are the only thing that has REALLY worked to give my hair gorgeous, lasting curl. They're the best!!
I'm using the Marco Pelusi leave in right now and its great too but I've always wanted to try the Mixed Chicks...these ladies KNOW curl! I rock my curls and have to really be pushed to flat iron. I'm just too lazy and not at all good at the technique yet. Right now I mix a little Curls Rock Curl amplifier with my leave in and press through damp hair. It makes my curls soft with no crunch but I could use better definition. Maybe MC will do it for me!
Love, hugs and shoes...Angie
My hair is straight naturaly and of course I hate it but I won't talk about it I like the fact we are when I say "we" I mean "you" are reviewing products for everyone and I am glad "Mixed chicks" can find products for their kind of skin or hair too...Chloé <3

I ordered 2 sets of the sample/travel trio! And theres alot in there, plenty for 2 used in eat little packet.I loved the shampoo and conditioner but For me the leave in was a tad bit too heavy... Mabey I used too much Im not sure but I didnt have any frizz and I did had some nicely formed curls, but they were flat and lifeless curls... And Im used to the body and volume that mouse and half a can or hairspray will give you. (I have stock in several hairspray comanies ;) lol)Ive still got another pack so I'll be experimenting with different ammounts and see if I like it any better. If not Im off to try jessie curl.

These reviews about Mixed Chicks just make me want to have curly hair!!!! Everything sound so wonderful it makes my straight, flat hair sound soooo boring! Maybe I should get a perm?? Haha. No, I won't. I just use a little spray in wax every now and again and thats it. I don't really have to combat anything with my hair as its so pathetic it doesn't do anything!!
This product is always talked abouti must get some :D

this product sounds like a gem for curly hair! I need to fwd this to my bestie friend, she has really curly hair.. atm her hair is up to her chin, but after 93403 hrs of straightening it'll be up to her upper back. she'd be ever so grateful to see this!

My hair is naturally curly, some times I'll straighten it...but not very often. I ordered Mixed Chicks shampoo, conditioner and leave in conditioner, I got it a few days ago, I was so excited-I couldn't wait to try everything. I have to say I love all 3 ! Hands Down its got to be the best trio of hair products I've used for curly hair in a long, long time. I let my hair dry naturally and my curls are well defined, soft and my hair looks healthy! I'm not a fan of leave in conditioners...but this is very nice, not heavy and gunky. My co-workers wanted to know what I done differently, It made me feel real good!I highly recomend this line of curly hair products. I want to thank Megs Make-up for spreading the word...if it wasn't for this forum I'd probably never know about this great hair care line...thanks girls
Too much heat styling can damage my hair, even when using a heat protectant, to I really do try to go 'au naturale' at least twice a week. It's usually in the middle of the week, when I'm most stressed and stretched time-wise.
I've been searching for the perfect products to make my curls look wonderful! I'm gonna have to try this out for sure!
I was a little skeptical until you said this would work on wavy hair too! That's me! I can encourage my curls to come out (more in the humidity and beach weather) with some good curl gel and curl defining sprays, but if I just towel dry and go it's more wavy than curly. But, the towel dry and go usually equals more frizz for me. This sounds great. I love leave in conditioners because they make my hair really smooth, but I've only found a good one for days when I go straight. I've been following this line a bit on this site and think it's about time to try it!
After reading all your reviews on Mixed Chicks, I desperately want to try some of their stuff, it sounds so good! I always let my hair dry naturally into whatever curl pattern it feels like having, no matter how often people ask if they can straighten my hair (and that happens a lot, because everyone at my school straightens).
I really want to try the Mixed Chicks products after all these great reviews! My hair is wavy/curly, and can be a real pain. I usually use coconut oil as a leave in, its just as good as any treatment I've tried before. My hair gets heat damaged very easily, so I only heat style for important occasions, and most days I wear my hair up anyway.
I have naturally straight hair that tends to get frizzy and dry at the ends. To combat that I use silicone-based serums like the one from Citre Shine.
I dont have curly hair, it's a little wavy but it sure is frizzy! I love a good leave in conditioner as I dont wash my hair everyday, more like every other or 2 days. Thanks for the review, I'm going to definitely check it out
I'm tempted to try the Mixed Chicks products - mainly because I've already tried just about EVERY product made for curly hair. The only two that I've really stuck with are Ouidad and Jessicurl. I tend to favor Jessicurl because the results are great - and it makes my hair smell awesome. Island Fantasy is my favorite scent. Anyway, blow-drying my hair is a waste of time because it never stays the way I fix it. It's easier on my nerves and makes me look better to just go with the natural curl. I sometimes give my hair a shot with the dryer, using a diffuser. But I am through trying to make my hair be something that it is not. That's it... the Hair wins.

I have fairly wavy hair, not super curly or anything, and I've tried this product. I absolutely LOVED it. It made my hair soft and shiny, frizz free, and my waves were super defined. It's really the only thing you need to put on your hair after you get out of the shower. Right now the only product I've been using pretty much everyday no matter how I style my hair is Pureology Split End Correcting treatment. It definitely makes my hair look healthier, no matter how I'm wearing it.
I have thick wavy/curly hair and on a rainy day the frizz/fly aways are so uncontrollable no matter how much hair spray I use. I hate that people with naturally curly hair tend to have drier hair. This product gives me some hope though!
I have straight hair but they are dry and naturally wavy in the end. Ihope this product can help me out.http://www.skinvie4u.com
I've heard nothing but good things about this line, it almost makes me wish I had curly hair so I could try it out! Regardless, I have straight hair with a little bit of wave - just enough to be annoying, but not enough to create pretty waves. It's also very fine and difficult to work with (it just kind of slips out of any style I try to force it into). Frizz Ease has been working fine for smoothing my hair out when I do blowdry it, but I have yet to find anything truly magical...still on the lookout!
i don't really have a problem with frizz. my hair is fine and straight(when straightened, of course). but, if i were to have frizzy hair this would be a product to consider.
My hair is very straight naturaly so i don't use this product
I have long thick curly hair and it is quite difficult to keep it nice a shinny every day. Now this is definitely a product i would like to use :)
I don't have curly hair but it is frizzy and has a bit of wave. I'm lazy & doesn't have the time to style or just blow dry my hair. I wash my hair in the morning, and walk out of the house with my hair still wet.
I have naturally straight hair but my trick of the trade is just leave-in conditioner - I've tried many, and honestly haven't seen too much of a difference between the brands! Which isn't bad, since I just get the cheap stuff!I dry my hair naturally so that I don't damage it too much.

I have natural wavy/curly hair and I've used this when I straighten my hair and when I leave it curly. It is awesome either way. I love that it acts as a styling product as well as a leave-in conditioner. If it's possible it seems to make my curls look more sophisticated and less crazy-curl! It smells divine and the chicks running this line are really something. They've taken all of the guess work out of curly hair. MissRo is right, this line would work well for you ladies even if your hair isn't curly, it's great for frizz control. I would love to try the other two products (shampoo and conditioner) just to see how well the trio performs. SAG, you won't be disappointed if you give this a go, it will make your luscious curls look amazing. My only question, does anyone have any suggestions on ways to get your hair to dry (naturally) faster without using the diffuser? Waiting on my curls is so time consuming. Suggestions anyone?
Frizz...here is my number 1 hair problem!I have curly/wavy hair and it's always frizzy. I was already thinking about buying this product because one of the meg heads said she recieved it as a gift and that it works great...and that's a good enough reason for me.
My hair is neither completely straight nor wavy. So I let my hair air dry for not spoil it. However, it's too cold in winter so I`ve got to use the dryer and a protector of hair.
I just got this in the mail yesterday. I did a good job with frizz and my curls are nicely defined.

I got this product a few weeks ago, maybe 3 weeks...I wanted to tell you all that the more I use it the more I like it. After eash wash, condition and leave in conditioner my curls/hair looks healthier and my curls are more uniform. I have been very happy with Mixed Chicks!!
