LED EYELASHES? AKA THE PRODUCT THAT PROVES WE HAVE ALL LOST OUR MINDS!
Meg here! I get all sorts of torture devices that we use daily to look good. I use them, if I'm feeling a bit bloated I'll shimmy and pull and hold my breath until I feel like I'm going to pass out to put this tummy slimmer I have on. Its even more serious then spanx. I get it from Trashy Hollywood and its the same one that they use on extreme makeover shows! You know those before and after shots? Where everyone "Oohs and Aahs?" Guess what? This may blow your mind but sometimes those makeover showers Cheat! I know, you're probably so so shocked right now. Anyhow I know more then a few shows that keep my industrial strength girdle as a "must have at all times" in wardrobe!
Killer heels that make my tootsies numb with 4"? Check. Sitting at my colorists for hours at a time? Check. Moisturizing, tweezing, squeezing and injecting? Check, check, check and check!
Attaching LED lights to my eyelashes to make my eyes appear bigger? Umm, wait...What? Yup, just when you think you can't go anymore overboard leave it to those Harajuku girls to make you feel like you're a slacker.
This futuristic beauty, LED lights to your eyelashes is the new hip thing. I have enough problems with my damn contact lenses so I may be a little late to the game on this one!
What do you think? Totally cute or completely insane? What torture do you inflict on yourself for beauty? I have to go, my left eyelash is attracting moths.

Love Spanx. They're one of the best things ever. And I'm with you on the 4" heels, moisturizing, tweezing, squeezing.. but these..seriously? I may use them for next years Halloween costume. I sent the link to my half Japanese darling friends; I'M sure they'll get a kick out of it.

I don't see the attractiveness of those LED eyelash things at all! Major ugly wire connecting from your eye to your ear doesn't look good either. UGH! I'm curious to how much those things cost though. Maybe it's just because I prefer the more natural look in makeup and having lights under your eyelashes definately is not natural. I'd say the most torture I go through in the name of beauty is plucking/waxing my eyebrows. It is SUCH a painful experience for me, even the girls at the salon are always amazed by how hard it is to get those hairs out. Apparently my eyebrow hairs are very thick and have big roots so it really hurts to get them pulled out. :(

Lol, some of those shots looked pretty interesting.. but as soon as you see the wire and giant ear piece, it just looks bulky and unattractive. I think I could see it looking like high fashion in certain situations (runways, photo shoots, etc), or maybe for Halloween, but not everyday life. Plus I can't help but think that that must mess with your eyes and possibly give you a headache if not migraine-- those lights looked pretty darn bright! For everyday beauty, I would say the biggest amount of torture I put myself through is waxing/using an epilator. I don't wax my legs often, but whenever I do, it's an experience. And using the epilator under my arms doesn't hurt if I keep up with it, but if I don't use it for a few weeks and just give in and shave, when I go back to it it hurts like a mother. Other than that, I do willingly inflict the pain of super high heels on myself, but I'm only 5-5'1, so I consider that a necessary evil.
LOL! I would TOTTALLY wear these!!!!But the whole thing in the ear and battary attachment to the eyelashes is a bit much, if they founf a way to have a temp batters supply directly attached to the LEDs then I would go for it!

Wow. I had to stop the video because it was creepy. Why would you want weird lights constantly shining that close to your eyes (can't be good for the retinas)? And that weird bulky ear piece/battery pack? No way! My hair is thick enough, I don't need something pushing it further out! However, in a dark parking lot, these would definitely be a huge help in finding my keys in my bag before anyone creepy gets too close (and hey, the lights might just scare the creeps away too!)
those harajuku girls are so creatively insane! that's seriously bananas! i can totally see them wear it but i could never wear those out. they look way too bulky with the wire and that ear thing. this would be pretty cool for halloween though!

OMG! What will they come up with next? They are always a little further along in fashion across the pond. I agree with all the other girls. Those lights can not be good for your peepers and that bulkiness is unattractive. What would happen if you went in for a kiss I wonder and he reached up and yanked on accident? As for me. I tweeze, wax, and wear heels. After quite some time you grow used to these things and they don't really hurt anymore.
I'm with StacyB! I only got through a minute...the music was creeping me out too! (My hubs love to watch Japanese horror films, so generally the music scares me!)
I rock some pretty weird eyemakeup, and if these were like stick-on and free? I would wear them. But, as is, I can't see anyone wearing it! Bigger than my iPod yikes!

I love falsies but no thanks on the flashing lights.
This just looks silly, not at all attractive! My biggest self-tortures are getting my brows waxed or threaded, wearing girdles with dresses, and squeezing blackheads.
To me WAXING is the Torture I inflict to my self this is so PAINFULL and I will never get used to it !!!!! lol and now about the LED stuff...Insane I don't find it to make the eyes bigger neither lol well it can be cute in a photoshoot but lol we aren't ROBOTS ! ( yet)...=)

Um, NO. Flashing lights make me a bit dizzy to begin with - so having them on my very own eyelashes would be insane. Plus - especially with the wire and battery pack - not the most attractive look out there. I agree with hrhtracey though - it could look cool on the runway. Definitely attention-getting. Also, I think I may be a bit too old to "get" the whole Harajuku thing. But hey, they're probably too young to get me!

I would never the wear the LED eyelash lights, but I'm very interested in hearing more about the Trashy Hollywood, industrial girdle. ;-)
I get it in small in color nude. It is not for the fain of heart but it sucks you in like no ones business! I found it here! http://www.biggerbras.com/rago-plus-size-body-shapers/rago-shapette-inne...
Meg, that girdle is intense... I'm not sure I'm ready to wrestle that onto my body! :P I am a big fan of Spanx though (am wearing a pair of their tights today, in fact! Had to ease them on, but boy did they hold everything in real tight!)I don't think I could do the whole LED light lashes...I'm into a more "classic" look with my makeup and fashion.

Ugh, no. I lived in Japan for a while, and while you can take some elements of their trends to suit you a lot of it was way overboard
I LOVE MEG'S GIRLS! Everyone brings up such good points. Totally amazing and innovative! Are they safe for your eyes? Who can have a conversation with someone whose eyelashes are flashing? Where do I get them? That cable/earpiece is too ugly! Why hasn't Gwen Stephani showed up with these yet? Are here Harajuku girls failing her?Sorry, but I have enough trouble applying my own lashes; imagine one of these slipping over your face!
I go to a lot of dance concerts/festivals and I could see girls wearing those for an occasion like that, but for everyday use? No way! Would be fun to try with a cool costume for Halloween though...
That's just crazy. There's no way I'd wear something like that. That girdle though, I definitely would wear!

WOW O_Othat is pretty insane. funny thing because my mum was telling me how she saw girls on tv wearing these things beneath their lashes that lits up.. i thought she's probably talking about stick on diamante so i was all "yeah yeah i know those".. but O_O i don't know, i'm kinda dumb founded right now. having a beam of light shining beneath your eyes all the time..the iris probably wouldn't be able to distinguish light sufficiently.. my prediction is that prolonged LED use would probably cause some sort of blindness or at the least worsen your sight at night.personally i think they'd look better if they just use stick on diamantes :P

I can understand this from an artistic point of view....photography ,modeling, high fashion and on for an hour or two...cuz that light would just drive me crazy.....no way could this be an everyday thing....I like the idea but it's not logical
I am definitely with the majority on this. The eyelashes are a for sure no-go. The lights sound tempting, but look ridiculous!! Not mention the battery pack on the ears? No thanks. But the girdle sounds amazing, I will definitely be investigating that, lol!
I also think that the eyelashes are a bit too crazy, especially for the bulkiness of them. But I do understand how they might be used in fashion shows etc. My most torturous beauty regieme, is waxing, ouch!! Oh and shoes, naturally!
lol... totally insane yet cute at the same time -- the lights would probably blind my vision! Trust the Koreans to come up with this! The worst torture I'd inflicted upon myself would be wearing heels. My feet hurt so bad now that I'm in pain even when wearing flats.
totally insane, I love lashes, using latisse and love it but this is a bit much and distracting and don't think it's good for your eyes either.
Letitahttp://letitaslogic.blogspot.com/
I would only wear those if it was Holloween and only if they didn't have that bulky thing attached to the ear. It just looks weird.
Sounds cool, but I think I'll have to pass.
This is highly impractical and probably dangerous to your eyes. Plus it's totally distracting!
I would think it would be really hard to see with those LED eyelashes. I could see them for young kids going to clubs/raves, but I feel like I am too old to off something like that....and I am not that old. I would totally wear an industrial girdle though.
I'm prety sure that wearing these would be like walking with a torch lighting straight in your eyes, uncomfortable and dangerous. But, aren't they cute?I don't think I'll ever use them but they're nice to see. Maybe an unplugged version...
Wow! That girdle looks truly diabolical, but I think I need to own it...lol! Thanks for posting the link. :-)
wowee. i can't imagine walking around the neighborhood or going grocery shopping with these on (haha, can you imagine?). maybe these could be used for halloween?
Oh my! I'm in awe right now. China and Japan have some very interesting things! I love how unique it is, but probably something i wouldn't wear. :D
This seems so strange to me! I understand the Spanx and the plucking and waxing and whatnot, because they make you look really good! But this just doesn't seem attractive to me and so why do it? Then again they could be very practical at night, lmao!
OMG these things are insane !!!!!I have to say Meg I laughed so hard when I read your I have to go, my left eyelash is attracting moths comment that was hilarious !!!!!! I would never wear these things it's madness, how long before someone has permanent damage to their eye from the LED Lights ?????
EW! I don't like those, and, I have light sensitive eyes, wouldn't those HURT?! I do a lot in the name of beauty, this? Not so much.
No way are you going to even think to get those on me. I shudder at the very thought.
I got corrective eye surgery just to get rid of my annoying itchy contacts....why would I want to attract bugs to my eyes with LED lights?! G.r.o.s.s! Insanity?? Absolutely? Could I totally see my 300 pound gay ex-mormon mexican best friend dating a guy with LED lit lashes? You bet! I'm sure next time I'm in Vegas it will be all the rage. How else will anyone be able to see their way home at 4 am? (besides those giant neon lights illuminating the city)
That is so cool! I mean, I know it looks really freaky, kinda unattractive and I could never imagine anyone wearing that for a normal day, but it still looks fun! xD
i'm all for mascara, but led light on your eyelid seem rather dangerous. i feel like it could harm your vision or give you migraines. that's crazy though. what will they think of next?
This bothers me. Putting light there is dangerous. Esspecially if they don't workproperlly. AND when people decide to makethe knock-offs.but in all seriousness....ew.

Interesting. Are we sure this is a Harajuku thing? That's definitely Korea, and all the names are Korean.Agreement: those can't be at all good for the eyes. What are doctors saying? Good for Halloween though!
Wow, that is nuts.. I don't see how it makes the eyes look bigger at all? Those girls are so strange! :D
That is truly bizarre. I can't believe the lengths people go to sometimes. I'm all about being comfortable and looking natural.
Wow! That was fun! Um, I might wear that for Halloween, but that would be it. That does not even look good for a night out on the town... Well, maybe those who like dancing with glow sticks would like this idea. (Nothing against anyone who dances with glow sticks, it just looks like they might like glowing eyelashes!) I agree that the bulky ear battery pack is also a deal breaker. Thanks for showing us this, Meg!
Spanx are one thing (yeah, and that thing is NECESSARY).These are just nuts! I have dry eyes so most of the time I have that "something's in my eye" feeling anyway--I can't imagine how much worse that would be with LED lashes!
Oh my goodness! I love them! like not for everyday but for a night out halloween, going to a dance club etc! Those look totally rockin! I love them! I want them!hehehehehehhahahah.I love anything to enhance the eyes, but these just look awsome Not sure about the ear pack thing, but it almost makes it more futuristic looking. and if you wore your hair down or an awesome wig none would be the wiser!not for everyday though hehehe
i don't like that ... very strange for me ...
Oh the Japanese.... Sometimes I feel like the contest isn't to make the most usable product but rather the craziest one that you can think of. I would never, ever use this product - and it scares me a lot :(As much as I love to look good, I could never force myself into some of those crazy shaper devices... Spanx was too much for me :(
xoxo
Yeah... this seems a little to extreme for me. I can't even figure out normal falsie lashes, I couldn't even imagine those!
