POOFNOGGIN SOAP! YOUR KIDS WILL ACTUALLY WANT TO GET CLEAN!
BabyLove here! As our weekly reviews are moving along, I am trusting that every Meghead on this site will never, ever give a boring baby gift to expectant mothers in their circle of friends and family! I hope that you're sharing these great products with other moms.
This next product, from PoofNoggin, is one of the cutest things that I've found.
Kiss those facecloth days away, and get your hands on felted soap!
I found these lovely, original soaps on Etsy.com and knew that we had to have some. These soaps, made with the gentlest of bath care products for your little ones, and come in over 50 designs. Each bar is made to order, so you can choose your color, design, and choice of peppermint, jasmine, strawberry, unscented, or green apple scented.
My boys used the green felted soap, with a bunny. Calum, who is 15 months, laughed hysterically when he first picked it up. He instantly started to wash himself with it, and because of the felt design, was able to hold on to the slippery soap. This is a major, major plus. Anything that my kids can do independently, and allows me just one minute to relax is worth anything to me. The jasmine scent is clean and extremely light, and doesn't leave a strong after scent. I loved the fact that while in the tub, the boys knew exactly what soap belonged to them, and they both seemed so interested in it, that I didn't have to spend all of their bath time taking my body washes and bath products away from their curious hands. The best part about this soap, is that as the bar shrinks, it doesn't turn into a slimey mess. In the end, you're only left with a little felt scrubber! The felt also protects the soap, allowing a longer life than your regular, boring bar soap.
This soap would be the perfect addition to a baby shower gift or a stocking. Kids, and their parents will thank you for it. Take a look through PoofNoggin's site, I guarantee you will fall in love with these.
Who else thinks Poofnoggin is genius and has their little ones as big fans?

This is such a cute idea. Babylove, all of your posts make me wish I had kids hehe, my mother would not be happy! I love all the adorable stuff that you might not find in the mainstream, I'll have to try and remember some of it once I actually am ready for kids, or at least have friends that are!
i'm not a big fan of soap.. mainly because i'm a hygiene freak and i freak out about sharing soap, even with family. But i think this is absolutely adorable! I love esty! there are always some fantastic handmade items on there :)

Kids love this! I agree Poofnoggin is genius! I have the navy blue one with a whale on it. I'm not completely sure what the scent is,but it is a very light clean smell. I love that I don't have to use face cloths as much anymore because that means less laundry:) The felt is way more gentle on their skin then a face cloth anyways and it doesn't slip out of their little hands. Its great because my oldest can wash herself and she's more motivated to do it because putting it down means her sister will take it- so the only bad thing about it is the girls fight over it in the bath tub so I think I'm going to have to get on etsy.com and get another one.It also is a great way for kids to wash their hands at the sink. This way you don't have to worry about them making a mess every time. My daughter seems to do a more thorough job because she likes the felted bar because its "hers".These felted soaps would make great stocking stuffers and great for baby shower baskets.
Love the Poofnoggin felted soap bar. They are super cute! We ended up getting one with a unicorn on it, which made my daughter so happy. It works great because it is not slippery like regular soap bars. It lasts forever. We have had it in our tub for the past month and there is still so much life left to it. I was not a huge fan of the soaps smell when I first got it but once I put it in the tub it did not seem as strong and it actually grew on me. My daughter did end up getting some in her eyes and it stung. I do have to put the disclaimer out there that she is extra sensitive and says baby shampoo hurts her eyes, but after that we did not do her face with the felt soap. These are super cute and would make a great gift.... I was thinking maybe I would do them as my daughters birthday party favors.

Oh I can't wait to get this soap for my boys. I'll be glad to get rid of the face clothes since my boys want to use the same one every bath which leads to either lots of laundry or stinky face clothes - yuck! Plus my two year old will especially love it since he has to do everything himself!
OK, I am a total moron!!!! I had no idea the felt was supposed to stay ON the soap. I was so confused when I unwrapped the wonderful smelling soap from the cute tissue paper and saw the ADORABLE pink felted soap with a black kitten. I struggled and struggled to peel off all the felt and still have not been totally successful. I guess that speaks for how well made the neat little invention is. I almost was going to not even use the soap and just keep it in my bathroom for decoration. Anyhow, I am using the soap with the little strings of felt that I could not get off and love the scent and the fact that it's a glycerin soap. I definitely need to get another one so I can use it correctly. :(
So cute! I might have to get one for my sister-in-law who is due in November.

This was really an adorable little soap bar. I had really high hopes for it! I got a really cute navy blue bar with a yellow moon on it. And like celiech said above, I had no idea what to do with this thing! There were no directions with it, so I didn't know if I was supposed to keep the felt on, like a built in washcloth, or take it off assuming it was just super cute packaging. So, I tried both.... unsuccessful. Maybe I got a bad one, or the color of the felt was too dark, but within seconds, my tub was blue, the water was blue and my son was blue! The color ran so badly we had to empty the tub and start over. Even the suds were blue! We stopped usage immediately. And then...I felt so stupid. I thought, 'hey, dummy, you were supposed to take the felt OFF.'. So, I tried that the next morning in my shower, didn't want to risk another blue baby...I tried SO hard to rip off that felt. It was practically glued on there! A testament to how well this product was made. I got it off, and the soap was blue too! And, it was covered in fuzzies. And then I realized once again, that I totally goofed and should have kept it on. Ugh. Like I said, I had high hopes, this was so adorable, and had a light, fresh scent and could have sat in my bathroom as a cutie-pie decoration. But, the overall experience wasn't good. If I were to buy this again, it would be for a gift (and I'd include instructions!), or I'd use it for decoration. I still give it an A+ for style and cuteness!
This is a really cute idea. My only issue is that I agree it should have directions. I didn't not know to keep the felt on, but since it would not come off easily, I did keep it on. I got a green (which I love!) one with a cute red mushroom on it. Super cute, my boys love to play with it in the tubby. I think this would be a perfect baby shower gift. Very very cute! And it smells good to. :)
haha.. iam 23 and i kinda want to use them!!! =P these are really cute! Iam at the age where pretty much everybody i know has "accidently" had a kid.. or are just married and thinking about kids.. so i will defianlty keep this in mind! =D Great review and super cute!
I was thrilled to receive this adorable Poofnoggin soap with a bunny on it. Like the others, I wish I had some instructions. At first I was wondering if the felt was just a cute decoration or it served some purpose?! So, I tried the bar with the felt on during my son's bath, since I figured the felt was meant to stay on. He thought the bunny bar was the coolest thing and much more fun to use than a regular soap bar. I loved the texture of the felt, it was very helpful for scrubbing his dirty face and hands -- and especially removing colored markers! Also, the felt allowed him to pick up the bar easier so he could lather up himself. The herbal scent was nice and not too overpowering. I am looking forward to buying more felt soap when we run out and for baby shower gifts! Great product.
They're lovely, I'll buy some of them for my nephews (and for me)
My first thought was "this soap is so adorable...what a great gift idea...I could put it in a basket for someone...who can I buy this for?" I had an adorable yellow felt soap with a duck on it. Then I started looking for directions and wasn't sure how to use it! My assumption was that I SHOULD take the felt off but my husband and daughter got to the soap first and I guess he knew not to take the felt off because I found them using it in the tub one night. My husbands comments were that it was hard to get lathered up...it didn't get very soapy. Also, ours had no smell, absolutely nothing, but I heard that someone else's smelled medicinal. None the less, I WOULD purchase this as a gift or favor...its just so darn cute and would look adorable in a gift basket!
haha! I'm so glad to know I am not the only person that needs instructions!! Thanks everyone, for not making me feel totally stupid!!:)
SO adorable! I don't have nor plan on having kids, but I'll be buying these for all of my friends that do! I make baby blankets and stuffed animals for baby showers, these would be a perfect addition to the basket. :)Hell, I might buy the giraffe just for me!
This sounds adorable! My nieces are SO BAD at holding onto soap, but are old enough that they want to wash themselves with it. Perfect solution!

This soap is so cute. We have the black and white skull and cross bones one. "Skelly's" as my son calls them are his favorite thing right now so it was perfect for him. I was a little bit confused at first, I didn't know if the felted part was the case for it or what to do. When we finally took it in the bath it was great. He could hold it himself without it slipping out of his hands and it lathered really well. I notice the lather is sometimes tinted black and it left a black spot in the tub when I left it in there wet, but it came right off with water. This is great to add to a children's gift or baby basket, although I do wish it had a little explanation attached. The PoofNoggin soap is something kids and parents will both really like.
This is adorable and i have two baby showers coming up in the next few weeks so i'm going to def check into these! thanks for sharing :0

As our weekly reviews are moving along, I am trusting that every Meghead on this site will never, ever give a boring baby gift to expectant mothers in their circle of friends and family! You got that right girlfriend! I'm always the one at the baby shower with a Pat the Bunny gift set, along with 30984 other clueless guestsbut no more! Thanks to these reviews!
What a great concept. I know I will be buying this for my niece...she will just LOVE it!
Great idea. Those look so cute.
These soaps are absolutely cute and truly innovative! I wish I knew someone who has a baby to give this to!
These soaps are cute. took me a while to get the felted soap concept... I wish I can get this for my mommy friends... but they are always wary of handmade products bought online, esp if it's for their precious little ones.
That's so cute! This iss definitely something my mom should get for my crazy (mind you, they enjoy getting down and dirty) little brothers who aren't fond of getting into the shower. (:
These are awesome and adorable! I'm starting to be at that age when I know a lot of people having babies. This is such an easy and great gift idea for all those soon-to-be moms. Thanks!
Wow, a light jasmine scent. My friends always whine that I smell like jasmine because of my hair stuff and lotion, it's my favorite scent but it tends to be too heavy.
Oh how adorable! My kids & my nephews would love them..
these are about the cutest things i've seen! i don't have any kids but this would be so cute to have around in the bathroom. i really like the cupcake and giraffe one. Thanks BabyLove!

I loved this product!! We got a green pear decorated one! It smelt great! The soap was very mild, which is great with a baby! There was no after residue!! The felt covering was a great idea! I loved that the felt shrunk after every time you used it! I left the soap in my soap holder and the felt did not get all mushy and scummy! it dried out nicely! We used it on the whole family! We all loved it! Perfect for a gift as well! Cute concept! I agree with "needing directions"!! I only knew how to use it from baby love!
Absolutely adorable and since my kids are my pets, I'm thinking these would be great for dog baths as well.
Indi
adorible. And yes my step brother and hiswife are having another baby soon! this wouldbe a great gift!

Oh, how lovely! I adore this idea! Now to see if they ship overseas.. >:D
Great idea! Anything to help motivate kids to wash their hands is great! I don't have little ones, but I know they can spread germs like crazy. I'd love to even have some of these, I'm a sucker for cute fuzzy things!
Oh my goodness! That soap looks SO cute!!! This would make a great gift for all the new babies that are popping up in my network of family and friends! I don't have kids, but I've enjoyed the fun stuff you've found!!!
Those are super cute. Folks on Etsy are SO creative! I could spend hours upon hours just browsing through all the stuff on there, it's a really amazing site.
Wow, ladies - I am so honored by all of your kind comments and I'm *delighted* you like my little creations.I appreciate having feedback on how they're holding up for people, so please feel free to drop me a line on Etsy any time you have a question, challenge, or idea. StacyB, I'm counting on you especially to send me a note. I recently incorporated a new wool supplier and had no idea that any of the colors ran. Now that I know I will be reserving those fibers for other, non-soap projects. Please convo me on Etsy so that I can make this right for you.Everyone else, I look forward to hearing what your friends might enjoy. Thank you so much BabyLove!P.S. As an aside, many of the reviewed bars were unscented as they were made for families with infants. As for folks for whom sensitive skin is not an issue, the scents I have available are light but lovely.
Oh wow, these look Great!!! I know it is always a pain at bath time, and soap slips. I have gone to the bath poufs with the kiddos however though my daughter loves them- the boys think they are girly...So like I said- bathtime always a pain. What a great way to get the kids a bit more independent about hygiene at bathtime (With Supervision of course)Thanks!
this soap is sooo cute i don't use soap because it's make my skin so dry ...
how cute!!!! I would keep it for appreciation instead of using it lol :)
Makeupaholic on a budget!!!
Hii Babylove !How are u,?This soap is so cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!So yummy , I love it !I haven't child , or little brother but i always have in my vanity baby's products because i love that! The perfume ,
The texture, without paraben, colouring agents..It is very healthy for the skin and very soft!
Like that, I always have one baby's skin!
But this product caught the eye to me!Thank you for your advice :):)
Amy , Big kisses from Paris!
This sounds like such an innovative idea. A great way to teach your kids how to exfoliate at an early age. lol. But these look adorable and sound like they work great. I actually have a family friend who is going to have a baby in a few months. This sounds like a must have to get her. I'm really wishing I already had kids.
this is a really cute idea. I'm glad celiech made the comment she did because I was still a bit confused as to if it was felt with soap suds in it or a soap bar with a felt holder lol! Now that I understand, I think I might want one for myself! People always tell me I should be using a cloth or loofah but I stick to soap or body wash only when showering...
