DEFEND YOUR FACIAL FAULT LINES!
MissRo here! It's been about three weeks or so since I have been using the Cosminology line. Next up, I'm talking about their Big Bang Those Light Years Away™ Fault-Line Defender Twilight Anti-Oxidant Cream™. With a fantastic mix of ingredients, main ones being Vitamin A (Retinyl Palmitate), Copper, Alpha Lipoeic Acid, and Co Q10, you can't go wrong.
Vitamin A (Retinyl Palmitate) has been shown to increase collagen, improve elasticity and even out skin tone. It represents the best tolerated form of topical Vitamin A and it is known to reverse some of the more obvious signs of cosmic skin aging. Copper stimulates enzymes to help build new elastin and collagen fibers. It also helps to produce keratin in the epidermis which leads to improved skin tone and texture. Alpha Lipoic Acid is a potent antioxidant. Daily application will improve your skin complexion by decreasing inflammation. Co-Q-10 is an anti-oxidant known to be beneficial in boosting cellular renewal, encouraging the repair of damaged skin. Topical application promotes a healthier, more vital and youthful appearance.
For me, my biggest facial fault lines are the ones around my mouth. I feel my obsession of taking care of my skin for so many years has not made them so bad, but 12 years of smoking didn't help! No matter how early or how late I go to bed, I NEVER go to bed with makeup one. And, I have been using night creams for years and even though I'm only 36 (yup, I said 'only'. You know, 36 is the new 26), I think it's never too early to start.
What I like about the cream, is that it's rich enough, but absorbs very well into the skin. It has a light, pleasant smell, and really does make your skin nice and smooth. Wearing this together with the Astropucker lip plumper and you are set for a night of rejuvenation, waking up the next morning with flawless skin and pleasantly plump puckers.
If I've said it already, I will say it again, I am quite impressed with this line. Next up for my cosmic journey with Cosminology is their Galactic Glove Serum. Stay tuned!
Are you guilty of going to bed without washing your face? Come on, you can admit it :). Also, what is your favorite night cream?

I am so guilty of going to bed with my makeup on. I wish I could say that it rarely happens but like clockwork I fall a sleep on the couch Friday nights and then only wake up long enough to move to the bed. I'm so good at keeping a great schedule every other day but Friday is my whatever night I guess. I don't use a night cream but have been looking into them. I really need a good one for oily acne prone skin and most that I have seen are for dry skin.
OMG, I do the same exact thing when I am off the next day! I fall asleep on the couch, manage to stagger into the bathroom and brush my teeth, then go to bed with makeup on and no night cream! Every other night I use retin-a religiously, which brings me to my point: the only way retininols can do serious good for your skin is in the prescription strength retin-a. I will never use anything else, I have been using it for 10 years now, and I have no lines, fine or otherwise. I do add a serum or nightcream over top of it, which may or may not increase it's effectiveness.
I agree that Retin-A is amazing, but it's a prescription so a good start is the vitamin A version. Especially if it's your first night cream or you are just starting to see some "fault-lines" haha. I used retin-a as a teenager for acne and it was totally drying and irritated my skin, now as an adult I used it to keep breakouts at bay and also to prevent wrinkles. I also use a serum to help combat some of the dryness of the retin-a.

Oh jeeeezzeee, I feel way too metro. After I tried the Christopher Drummond men's makeup, now I have to worry about "going to bed with my makeup on." What has become of me? Meg, come-on this is getting reeedick. I don't have a "favorite night cream" I don't even have a night cream. Look, at what poor gigglbunny has to deal with. Seriously, Am I going to have to worry about a whole new thing to deal with? I guess I have to go and try your gurly products to keep my youthfulness.... The price I pay for my association with MEG... What is going to be next??? HEY MEG, LISTEN: I am never wearing PINK anything!!! I can only imagine the horrors that await. You guys try being a human lab rat. I am against animal testing, especially when that animal is ME!But now, theses are all things I want!! I feel like I am missing out. I want Quadruple antioxidant skin rejuvenator!!I want smoother, healthier skin!!!I want something that nourishes skin while I'm dreaming. What is non-comedogenic??? BUT I WANT IT!Anyway, I better go to:
Cosminology.com or i guess i can just steal from MEG.... thoughts?
Oh please, don't steal from Meg, that's bad. I've spent 2 years of my life thinking I was using way too much night cream 'til I caught hubby red-handed, so I bought him his own cream.
Guilty of going to bed with makeup on! I did it last night. I was soooo tired that I fell asleep in my recliner. I woke up a few hours later and my face felt so gross. Like it was smothered - even though I wear mineral makeup! I promptly got up and washed my face. I'm very bad about night creams. I don't really use them in the summer since I'm oily. Now that it's turned so cold, I'm waking up a little tighter than usual. I think it's time to break out that M. Asam cream that Meg sent.
I almost always wash my face really good before I go to bed. My new favorite night cream is St. Ives Collagen Elastin Moisturizer. It's a huge tub of moisturizer for $5. If I'm not mistaken, I think it was 12 ounces or something like that. It makes my face feel SOOOO nice when I put it on and even when I wake up in the morning. Can't beat the price either.

I never ever go to bed without washing me face.. unless I"m passed out drunk. I wear makeup and my pillow would be a terrible mess if I didn't! This sounds like a cool product--love anything that says it evens out skin tone

I've been resisting the cosminology line - despite the great reviews - because I have SO much skin care! But now I see that resistance is futile. I have those lines around my mouth - the marionette lines. I do not know where they came from but I hate them. One day, I woke up and there they were! Miss Ro - do you really think this will help? I wash my face every night (when I was in my 20's, maybe not so much). And I nearly always use a night cream. Right now, it's Olay - but I'm fickle.I know I should expect some wrinkles at my vintage, but I don't want them. Ken - You make me laugh! Oh God, now I have to worry about laugh lines!

I have been guilty of going to bed with my makeup on. Not often, but still, its no good. Sometimes when I am tired I just use a makeup remover wipe and thats it.
I am laaaaaazy. I wash my face probably 65-70% of the time at night. I wear mineral makeup and don't feel as bad about wearing it to bed. If I wear liquid makeup I will, without fail take it all off. Just with mineral I don't care as much. I am yet to see any adverse side efffects of not washing my face. Wow. I feel so guilty now. I should get better though.I don't use any specific night cream, sometimes I use my day cream and the rest of the the time I use a simple thick face cream. I don't really have lines or sun damage yet (I'm 20) so I am sticking to the simple stuff at the moment.
This is on my need list not on my want ....Im so guilty of going to sleep with my makeup on especially when I'm exhausted. I need to take better care of my skin
I never ever sleep without washing my face, brushing and flossing my teeth, and applying 430983408 topicals to my face. Lately, it's been the Murad C serum Meg sent me, Avon Anew eye cream, and some sort of collagen cream, also by Avon. I really need something to smooth out the encroaching crows' feet though.
i don't believe i've ever used a night cream.. the only cream i use is moisturiser and sunscreen. I always wash my face and remove all make up as soon as i get home, i love the feeling of having my face refreshed, and as much as i love make up, i also love having my face make up free at home.

I never ever go to bed without washing my face, it's one thing I'm actually good about. In a real pinch I'll just use a makeup remover wipe, but that's rare. I've been using a hylauronic acid moisturizer I got from Meg and I really like it!
I never go to bed without washing my face. If I can't be bothered washing it I'll take my make-up off with face wipes. I haven't found a night cream that I love yet, I've tried heaps that are nice but none that are amazing.

Same here! Even if I'm super close to passing out I always have to remove my makeup.I switch night creams every few weeks because none of them have been stellar, but this one looks good!
same here.....definitely guilty. some weeks i find i have to wash my face immediately when i get home to try & beat the sleep that will hit once i'm on the couch....but i have gotten better & try to at least keep makeup remover cloths next to the bed.......i too, am looking for a night cream that i love....with combination/oily skin...its hard to find something that won't leave an oil slick on my face by 7am.....MissRo ~ would this be too rich for combo/oily skin??

I NEVER go to bed with make up on! I am too afraid to ruin my nice sheets! Plus, I feel so much lighter and freer without anything on my face. Sometimes I don't even need moisturizer. Just a little eue cream and I'm good. However, as I get older, I feel like I should be investing in some night cream, it's never to early to start worrying about wrinkles, right?
Omg, I'm totally freaking out about wrinkles, better get me some of this stuff. I used to be so bad for going to bed with makeup on but now I've gotten better.
I always, ALWAYS wash my face before bed - even if I'm dog tired, I just can't crawl into that bed without at least doing the quickest cleansing possible! If I have makeup on there isn't even a prayer of me going to sleep knowingI still have makeup product and mascara on my face! It's just completely ingrained in me that it's gotta come off before I crawl into bed! So my quickest removal is always my beloved Extra Virgin Coconut Oil - it removes all makeup and mascara etc. in less than a minute and then I rinse my face with clear water and towel off. If I didn't wear any makeup I at least give my face a rinse with just water. If I have more time I use the various 'official' makeup remover brands I own, but really the EVCO is my favorite because it's quick, it doesn't irritate my eyes EVER and it leaves my skin really moist which I need! My night creams are always applied next - I alternate nights because I have favorite products and like them all equally and the great results they give to me so here it is...One night I will use a layer of PROx hydra firming cream and over that a layer of Olay regenerist micro-sculpting cream, then the next night I will use one layer of Ole Henriksen invigorating night gel and over that a layer of Ole Henriksen sheer transformation! With both products I wake up with great skin so it's really very worth it to take the time to do all of that! I also use whatever eye cream I have available.I'd REALLY love to try the Astropucker lip plumper MsRo spoke of here because the lip line deal is my arch enemy and I have found no relief for that!
Jeanasina!
I take my showers at night after my kids are in bed. It's my ME time of the day. :-) I do masks 1-2 nights a week before hand. I alternate between Queen Helene's Mint Julep and good ol' asprin. After my shower I use a glycolic acid gel from Paula's Choice, followed by Avon's liiv botanicals vital night gel, and finally two drops of Jason's Vit E beauty oil to seal it all in. My skin is loves this regimen and I get compliments all the time about how radiant I look. Of course, my beloved Everyday Minerals helps with that as well. :-)
i always fall asleep with my makeup on, lately i have really been trying to remember to take it off and i recently just got a sample of olay pro x that i've been using the past couple nights ..sorry i'm not any help!
Sounds good, thanks for the review! I always always always wash my face before bed. I got out of using the Garnier Rejuvenating overnight repair but I just started that back up. Lately, I just moisturize either with Aveeno or my mix of Jason's vit E oil/aloe vera gel.
I'd like companies to stop putting things in jars. My oily acne prone skin usually has me running from anything with "cream" in the name! :DDD
I'm really bad about washing my face before bed, sometimes even if I'm wearing makeup.. especially if I've been out late. I don't want to hassle with removing the makeup and then washing and then moisturizing. Even if I don't have to remove makeup, I rarely ever put any kind of cream or moisturizer on before bed, though. Somehow I feel like if I just leave my skin alone, it's better for it. I have really bad skin though, and sometimes it needs to just be left alone to it's own devices to clear and balance itself out. I should probably buy an eye cream though, I notice when I put too much undereye concealer on that I have tiny fine lines under my eyes that I'd like to eliminate before they get worse.Occasionally I do use my Vitamin E Oil though, or the Pure & True Intensive C Rejuvenating Serum that I got from Meg.. it makes my skin feel really nice, although I mostly prefer it under my foundation-- it's a great primer!
I always wash my face before bed. I never used a nightcream. I use the same cream for both day and night. I don't really think it makes any difference if you use one cream for day and night, or use a seperate daycream and nightcream. Currently Iam using REN Matte Balancing Fluid.
Is this cream for all skin types? I try to remove my makeup every night. But I'm usually lazy on Fridays -- there's no need to wake up early on Saturday so I would catch up on forums, blogs, megsmakeup.com etc. Then I'll get so tired that I just slumped onto bed without removing my makeup. I bought some make-up wipes and left them next to my computer, hoping that I'd use it but hmmm... My favorite night time product (not cream, sorry!) is Laneige's overnight water mask -- just wash, tone, apply mask, & sleep. Suits the lazy me... Right now, I'm trying out Silk natural's skincare and I use their facelift serum at night. So far so good --- no breakouts & I can feel a slight lift at the cheeks area but my laugh line would probably need more work...
I will never ever go to bed without washing my face first. I only did that once or twice, when I was 18. I know better now.I want to try this line so badly. I just can't afford to yet...because I keep buying other beauty products. I am now determined to save up long enough to buy this cream.

I've been guilty of sleeping with my makeup on when I was in college. I know, bad Nina!I haven't tried using night creams because I fear it's too much to add to my routine that's specifically for my acne.
I always always always cleanse before bed. I also apply eye-cream and a light moisturiser [I have oily skin] and rosehip oil. I'm a stickler for my beauty routine!
If I go to bed without washing my face, my skin definitely lets me know it's not happy! I try to be really good about that because even though I wear mineral makeup, it's still not a good idea to sleep in your makeup :)
My mom is an aesthetician and I have an inner guilt reflex if I go to sleep without washing my face. She raised me to remove makeup almost immediately upon coming home to let my skin breathe. While I don't always follow the second piece of advice, I can't go to sleep without cleaning everything off my face. I started to test out the Clean&Clear Steam "in shower facial" now, it's supposed to act as a mask and exfoliator. I also always try to put face cream (cocoa butter/Korres Wild Rose being my faves) on, but that's not always done as diligently as the washing.

Yes, I feel guilty if I go bed and I don`t clean my face. Especially if I`m makeup. In fact, I never go to sleep without removing make-up.Regarding the night cream, I do not use any particular one. I use it the same as during the day.
I definately am. Some nights I'm just soo tired.
I have never been so tired that I didn't wash my face - I would never go to bed without taking a shower, anyway.
this looks amazing! i really want to try this!
