New York was so busy and I learned about all of the makeup holiday collections that are going to be hitting the shelves of Ulta and Sephora and boy oh boy-FABULOUS! Some really adorable gifts from the brands you love at ridiculously affordable prices. You. Are. Going. To. DROOL!
This trip was much needed and so educational. I do have to say though, I got out of NYC right in time. The weather really started to dip and it went from crisp to downright chilly pretty quickly. I hope you're all ready for winter east coasters because I saw a couple of snowflakes the day before I left.
Back in sunny LA I missed the rain that was here (and believe me rain here NEVER happens.) It's still beautiful weather but there is definitely a cooler front moving in (welcome to megsweather.com).
Who is ready to say goodbye to the dog days of summer and break out the fall heeled boots? Who is leaving the pastel pinks and ready to bring out the deep merlots?

Oh man I have also been super MIA from this site. Homework has been destroying my liiife!Oh well, finished up, and now Im here, and I have so much to catch up on!I've already got boots, but I just bought a canada goose winter jacket, that they use in arctic expeditions, and Ive been wearing it to school almost everyday! Its coooold over here in Toronto.
Ugh, fall has pretty much bypassed us here in upstate NY, it was snowing today :( You're lucky to be back in LA, I'm jealous! I wish I could be back in FL where I'm from!
Glad you are back Meg! I'm in San Diego but our weather is pretty similar to L.A's, but I have to say that you did miss out on the rainy weather. It was quite fantastic to have a couple days of gloom. I've been ready for Fall for awhile now and I'm so happy because I just got some boots this afternoon. I got an early birthday gift from my aunt and boots were something on my to buy list, with makeup of course being #1 on that list of course ;)

i love fall.. it is long overdue
we've already had our taste of "where did this winter come from" weather.3 weeks ago it was flip flops and tank tops.Last week it was 10 degree!yea 10!!!!luckily its "warmed" up a bit and now settled at a nice fall 50 degreed during the day and cloudy.Im still searching for a pair of nice heeled boots, havnt found a good pair.. im pretty picky.But I definittally have busted out my wardrobe, I was stashing all my summer cloths this morning and crying.... i have suck CUTE summer cloths!!!Ill be able to bust them out again in december as my dads taking me to key west! yay!!!il be able to escape the endless snow banks for about 3 weeks at least!

Meg, glad you had such an awesome trip!I am not yet ready for fall... While I do love wearing my calf high suede boots, I would much rather have some sunshine and some HEAT! It's just getting too darn cold these days, and rainy too :( And I'm losing all motivation to do longer runs, because I hate running in the cold.

I shall be getting my autumn on in 2010! Its spring, and while we've had some spring rain recently we're heading to some nice sunny days ahead!I'm not looking forwards to 119+ weather when it reaches summer, but spring always proves fabulous here in Melbourne!
Heh, I too won't be getting autumn til 2010! Spring here too and we've had heaps of rain lately, but today has been hot and sunny and GORGEOUS! The sun just makes me happy and I can't wait to hit the beaches in Summer! :D
I feel like this summer in LA was just brutal, more than usual, so I was actually happy for the rain. And I normally loathe and dread rain. But it's going to be ~90 tomorrow, so I guess summer still hasn't ended.
On the weekend, I was walking up Granville street here in downtown Vancouver, Canada and couldn't help but notice a lot of people still wearing their flip flops. Not that there's anything wrong with it, but personally my toes would be too cold! I got out my new black boots, tights and a long purple grey sleeveless sweater. It felt so good as it was cool and cloudy. Right when I got home...cozy jammies, here I come!

I couldn't WAIT to wear my Uggs, they are so fabulous and I think I've worn them everyday for three weeks. Mmmmmm fuzzy soft-ness! I'm looking forward to getting stared at for rockin' pastel nails during the cold season.
Well, its coming into summer here in Australia, and I'm loving it. Spring is my favourite season of all. We've had a really cold and long winter here, so bring on the summer!
we're just starting summer here, although the weather can get a little patchy, a few days ago it was freezing cold, wet and windy.. now it's warm and windy. But i must say i'm welcoming summer with open arms after the super cold winter that went pass here!

I am NEVER READY FOR WINTER last week in Paris it was pretty hot this week...OMG I was freezing I need GLOVES !!!! I hues here we are now the cold time is back and I HATE it I know HAte is a BIG word but...In Paris it's like 9 months Cold 3 months HOT ! I am suposed to move pretty soon to California lol and one of the 100 reasons is the WEATHER loland my makeup is even harder in winter cause I feel that nothing match correctly my skin !

Glad the trip went well! Gonna' be 80 today,that's "cool" for here these days I guess,weary of humidity and high 90's for sure! Going to a wedding tonight and will be nice not to have makeup sliding off 10 minutes after I'm out the door,LOL! Would love to be able to wear jeans and a sweater...sighing here. Husband is taking me to Vegas next week,probably won't be much cooler there either???Always fabulous "holiday stuff" at the makeup-counters and I'm going to TRY and avoid TOO many things,LOL! I buy and then end up giving away...:) Would love to find and awesome new brush set though.
Welcome back!! It's started getting pretty chilly here in the Midwest but that's typical, our fall weather, as usual, lasted about 2 weeks. The leaves sure are pretty though. I don't like being cold but I do love being able to wear boots and sweaters, especially because I just bought a new pair of boots that I am sooo in love with!
Oh my goodness, I have my WINTER on already for pete's sake! I live in east-central Minnesota, and we pretty much skipped fall. It has been SO cold here, and snowy! So far no snow has stayed, it's all melted, but ICK! Our trees are still mostly green, and covered in snow every few days. I'm so sad because I love my fall wardrobe, and I can't even show it off because it has to be covered up in a coat. :(

This weather is much too cold for this time of year! Snow in October in Boston!? That never happens! Really! But...time to buy new deep colored sweaters and suede boots? OK! Hitting the mall today at lunch and I'm not leaving without something jewel toned!

Uhhh its already winter here, its been -8 degrees C already and we have snow...pfft figures in Canada. I have my long jacket all busted out, however its gonna get up to plus 13 today thank god for Chinooks!!!
It's beautiful down here in Texas! We're still yo-yoing between cool and warm. I love this time of year. I'm always into fall, I love sweaters, jackets, and boots. Just got back from a vacation in the mountains of New Mexico and it was fall there, the Aspens have turned yellow, just beautiful!
It snowed here yesterday, so I guess fall is over :( Like an hour east of here they have a couple of inches of snow already, so I guess I shouldn't complain. At least it didn't stick here, but it's cold!Glad you had an awesome time in NYC!
I am ready for the cooler weather. We have had record heat in Florida lately, but this weekend is going to be mid 70's during the day and 50's at night. Ahhhhh, I love Florida!

I just got back from Vegas -- not for fun, totally for work -- and once I got out of my 12 hour coma, the first thing I did was sign on here. I am SO ready for fall!! It was nice to be in the 80 degree Vegas sunshine, but since it was a holiday kick-off meeting, we all had on sweaters, and at the end of every day, I felt so yucky and sweaty, I couldn't wait to get home and take a nice long bath with all my products that don't pack well, and got left at home. But after reading this post, I am thinking Sephora, so I think I will head over there now, it's not really in the budget at the moment, but I'll just have to make it work!
Welcome back Meg! Glad to hear that you had a wonderful time in NYC and I can't wait to see all the goodies at Ulta for the holidays. There are a few girls on my shopping list who would love some new makeup. I've been away from the site as well due to being extremely busy with work and getting things ready for the cooler weather at home. Our temps have been in the 40's all week. Plus it rained a lot as well. I love fall. (I am a fall baby) I love the crisp air and the beautiful colors all around. I love wearing all my fall clothes. It's time for a new pair of boots but I am so unmotivated right now. LOL. Next week our temps are supposed to rebound into the 60's so I can at least put the heavy coat back on the rack. Welcome home! Alas, or thankfully - whichever way you look at it - it's Spring here! Of course, Spring really doesn't mean much when you're in Queensland.. it's warming up [think 86F, minimum every day] and we're starting to get a little taste of the beautiful Summer storm season already. I'm rocking my singlet tops, breezy skirts and flip-flops and making sunscreen a daily part of my routine. :D
I love autumns and fall foilage. Here in Singapore -- we have 2 "seasons": rainy/monsoon and HOT. I usually plan my holidays around autumn and visit places where the weather is cool/chilly. But this year, I'm not going anywhere as I'd maxed out my vacation days in April. bummer... at least there is still the holiday collections to look out for :)
Glad to hear you had a good trip. Can't wait to hear what Sephora and Ulta have planned for holiday gifts! I just got home (Memphis) from Toronto, where it was just a bit nippy. I was pretty happy to be able to wear tights, new boots that I got in Madrid last month, and a new wool skirt. I love fall, and I got to see pretty trees. And Toronto is a great city!

Welcome back you Mega cutie! I missed you! It already snowed big time here in Minnesota and you know the song with the words "All the leaves are gone.." ...well we had a big freeze this October month and are singing..."All the leaves are DEAD!" ICK! I HAD TO GET OUT MY BOOTS for a day or two! Not the cute boots either! It's too soon! It's already time for a flannel pajama party here! I DID feel the need to purchase cute berets and matching gloves and even got two adorable wool shawls that seem to be in the front racks of Marshalls, Kohls and TJ Maxx this month! I know my new outfits must be working because the other day at TJ Maxx two young girls looked me up and down and I heard one say "Wow! Cute shawl and hat!" to her friend! YAY FOR ME AT THAT MOMENT! It's not often that any young girls actually ADMIRE anything I'm wearing! The 2nd girl said "Yeah - my mom has a shawl like that too!" I chose dark brown shades of outfits because it contrasts so well with my blonde hair and brown eyes! Guess I better add a new 'fall' photo to my profile page! I liked the first shawl so much that when I was in Tuesday Morning a few days later and saw another one in shades of navy, brown and white for only $14.00 I had to snatch it up! I love the wool shawls I have discovered because it's like wearing a blanket when you are cold but when you go inside a store to shop it's not as hot as wearing a jacket! I love wearing berets so THAT makes me enjoy fall weather! Oh! One more super fun hat and scarf I got at J.C.Penney is their 'fluffy beret'! I got it in dusty pink with a matching scarf! I saw these berets on other girls and LOVED the look of them so when I found them at Penny's I got two! One white and one pink! Just type in 'fluffy beret' on the JCPenney.com website and see how cute it is~!

I'm such a sucker for cute packaging! It 'tis the best season after all! I get my fall on as soon as the leaves begin to change. All those wonderful accessories and my new crocs fuzzy boots were just begging to be worn!
I know exactly what you mean by the weather - I just moved from California to New York for college, and I'm both scared and excited for winter! It's definitely going to be an experience, but until then - I love the shopping that I have to do to prepare ;]

I hate the fall and winter. I am a summer girl all the way.I am glad you got out of the cold. I live in the north east and it is already prety darn cold here. I had to wear shoes other than flip flops. :(

I really despise the cold weather, and even cool weather I give an ugly face too. I don't know what it is about me, but I really don't like cooler weather. I don't like being cold, but besides that I become a totally different person during the cold times. Im always cranky and very grumpy during the cold. I also tend to get very depressed. But I do try to make the most of it. I like to wear jeans with comfy boots and sweaters.
I've been MIA off and on as well, but am finally getting caught back up and into the swing of things again. I'm glad you had fun in NY! I'm originally from there, and the weather does get cold fast. Of course, now I live in OH, where winter just blows. :P I don't like extreme hot or cold, so I like late spring and early fall.. where I can wear a cute short dress without feeling my leg hair getting prickly and start to grow back from the cold, and without getting sweaty and sticking to car seats. I especially love light cardigan weather, but OH decided to skip that this year and jump straight from 80 degrees to 40. I love all of the rich colors though, deep purples and golds.. and knee high boots!
