DO YOU WANT FLAWLESS SKIN? WELL, NOW'S YOUR CHANCE!

Sun, 10/11/2009 - 10:02pm
  • Eyes

KharmicKhameleonMissRo here! We can't seem to get enough of Dr. Dima's Cosminology! A couple of weeks ago I wrote about her Kharmic Khameleon - AstroKoncealer. I was saying how you didn't need to use any foundation, because you get amazing coverage from this product. Well, now you can win it!

Yup, this Vitamin E infused with healing botanicals and potent anti-inflammatory extracts can be yours. With natural sunscreen, talc-free, crease-proof and a long lasting mineral formulation, you will be amazed by how this concealer is like a second skin.

So the question is, how are you going to win this lovely, little concealer? Tell us what your frustration is with foundations and concealers. Do you have any skin issues where you need serious coverage? Tell us your story and you just might win!

We want to help you "hide those dirty lil' imperfections". And remember Dr. Dima's warning: Regular use may cause skin admiration resuting in SKIN ENVY! That's not such a bad thing!

I have brownish/reddish hyperpigmentation for which I use lavender concealer, and blue-ish undereye circles for which I use pearl lucent powder, both from Everyday Minerals.  They work better than anything else I've ever tried, but they're not perfect!I still have to put on a layer or several of 'intensive' coverage foundation

I have been on a quest for the perfect concealer since I was 16 and now I'm 59.  THey all claim many things, but not many of them deliver. I have a strawberry mark right under my right eye that I've been trying to cover. Nothing I use lasts longer than a few hours and by the end of the day it is showing up again.  It would be wonderful if I could win this product and finally feel good about going out without being self-conscious!!! I will think positive thoughts about winning this.  THANKS for all the wonderful advice you give to all us girls.  THis website is a God Send!!!!

My biggest concern with my skin is my dark circles and the bags under my eyes from working the grave yard shift (7:30p-9:30a).  I recently won a prize here on Meg's so I don't want to be considered for this prize, but I would really love to hear what results you get from using this product as I am always on the lookout for a great concealer.

Oh I sure do need a miracle !!!! I have really bad broken capillaries on my cheeks and chin and they have made my life a misery. I use everyday minerals concealers and foundation and they are great at covering them up but it takes me a long time in the morning to layer the concealer and foundation over and over to get the coverage I need to cover the broken capillaries !!! This sounds like it could be just what I'm looking for and I'd love the chance to try this !!!! I'd love to be able to just apply a layer of this then one layer of foundation it would be so much quicker in the morning !!!

Honestly I don't have terrible, terrible skin, but for some reason it is SO difficult to find a perfect foundation color and a perfect concealer for me. I've broke out in horrible rashes from many products and I just can't seem to win. I've tried everything from Revlon, to L'oreal to MAC to Bare Escentuals and my skin has gotten worse with every product I try. Lately I've been so hesitant to try anything at all because of the nasty rashes I get. It really makes me sad and totally upset when I see the rash and bumpiness coming out. At this point I am willing to go above and beyond to find something perfect for my skin. I dream of getting that perfect, flawless skin that people go 'goo goo' and 'gah gah' over. This product does in fact sound too good to be true, but being able to have a change to try this would help me to be one step closer to finding the perfect product. It would be such a confidence booster knowing that I have a product to rely on. It just sounds perfect with the vitamin e and infused botanicals. Help me be the girl that everyone is in awe with!

I can't leave my house without putting concealor and foundation on ! it never happened and it will never happens ! I don't have a BAD skin but I have stains ! I used to have acnea and acnea + sun caused those stains the acnea is gone but the stains on my face are still there (cheeks and nose) and I can tell they aren't going to disappear anytime soon...I always need the best coverage from a concealor since the stains are quite dark and very difficult to "erase"...

Foundations are either too drying or too oily for my face.  There doesn't seem to be a happy medium that just acts right!  Like so many I have acne and acne scarring that needs covering.  Finding the right colour isn't always easy.  My skin has a definite need for things that can help heal and sooth it while it conceals.  I've also started noticing shadows under my eyes that weren't there a few years ago.  There is a lot of redness around my mouth and nose from skin sensitivity.  I haven't found my HG yet, only things that can get me by.

I am only 20 and I already have little raised bumps where my rosacea is, which you aren't supposed to get until you are older. I have found that two concealers under my foundation (all EM) are the only thing that work at the momentPlus I have genetically bad dark circles which I haven't found a concealer for yet, but they look lighter with what I am using now so I suppose thats ok for now!!I wish something would fix them all - its so frustrating!

The dark areas beneath my eyes have always been my biggest makeup challenge.  I don't use foundation on a daily basis, it always feels like a mask and that my face is unclean.  All the concealers I have tried, no matter how highly recommended, just don't do the job.  This includes the green, etc. to neutralize the color as well as plain cover-ups.  If this concealer truly is like a second skin, it just may be what I've been searching for, not to mention wasting so much money on in my search.

I have rosacea (red mask), broken capillaries, and melasma--especially bad on my left side. Not to mention, bags and circles under my eyes (being a woman who needs her 8 hours, and being married to a near-insomniac, I figure I am "sleep-deprived").  I have spent 40 years looking for a good concealer.  I've tried countless "lighteners" for the melasma spots and have decided I can't afford to have them lased off so I need to conceal.  Most concealers are too beige for me. I need some pink or peach undertones.  And the ones that do seem to cover are thick and cakey--after a little while they crack like dried mud.  My undereyes are dry as well, so most concealers cling to the dry skin and it looks worse then the circles themselves.  Arrggh.  I'd love to try this product and will gladly pay for it if it seems to work well for others here at Meg's.

Like Chloehollywood I don't feel like my skin is terrible, but I definitely need foundation and concealer.  My biggest skin concerns are acne scars on my chin and broken capillaries around my nose.  NOTHING will keep those capillaries covered.  Another issue I find is lasting power with concealers.  I use a setting powder AND spray, and by the time lunch time rolls around there's my acne scars like I barely put anything on them!

I am pretty lucky my "28" ahem ahem year old skin is not too much trouble... Although after getting pregnant (the lil roxtar is almost 2) I had a spot of melasma on my cheek that decided to pay me a visit... and it hasnt gone ANYWHERE SINCE.  I have tried... rx's (both hydroquinone and triluma) to no avail... I scrub it, I serum it, and I TRY covering it - powders, creams, you name it.... that spot mocks me.  daily.  I have learned that sunscreen is the trick to it... BUT I'm always on the lookout for something that MIGHT do a better job than everything I've tried thus far.  Let's put it this way.... the Under Eye Circles... pale in comparison to the Spot.  I don't even worry about the circles anymore, I guess that could be a good thing!  hah.

I don't really even know where to begin in trying to cover it up. Liquid foundation doesn't do the trick, and neither does mineral foundation, nothing seems thick enough, yet I hate the look of makeup just caked on my face. Something like this would be awesome to try, to see if it can help me have a beautiful, clear complexion!

I am on the eternal quest to find the perfect concealer. I have dark circles and bags under my eyes. I also have roseaca which no concealer that I have tried can conceal the whole day. I also continue to suffer from pimples and acne (I guess I will never outgrow it) and the concealers that I have used seem to either draw attention to the blemish by making it darker in color or it fails to cover it at all. I have read all your reviews on this line and I have it in my queue of concealers and foundations to try. I am finishing up some foundations that I currently have and will hopefully be giving this line a try in the future. :-)

As I posted on here before, I didn't want to let a new guy I was dating see me without foundation.  My skin has brown spots and looks terrible without concealer and foundation.  My frustration is that everytime I find one I love, it gets discontinued and the replacement sucks.  Some products look great for an hour, but look cakey and change color to an awful orange when they mix with the oil in your skin.  I would love to try this product by Dr. Dima.

I am constantly staring in the mirror (I know it sounds conceded) but really I'm just making sure non of my skin imperfections as showing through.  And to top it all off I have severely dry skin so it always seems as if a piece of skin is always flaking off my face....Pretty embarrassing, I know!

i don't hate my skin but i certainly would love some help, i have a weird residual condition from having had measles when i was 6. The measles virus is stuck in my lymph glands and resurfaces periodically. It is caused by heat, stress and sun exposure and it leaves a nasty uneven red surface, which heals slowly. It looks alot like a cold sore, but it goes anywhere and has descended into my eye a few times on occasion, mostly it is under my eye or on my forehead. The blisters make waterproof important and the texture makes most concealers fail, so maybe this will work??I am willing to try anything, my box of concealers is quite full prices vary, none seem to do it.

My skin is in good shape and I'm grateful (also crossing my fingers and trying to type this).  When I was dating my husband Ron he always said, "You are lovely and never need makeup."  My dear fool didn't realize that there was an hour of prep time before we went out!  Because I am so fair, the veins under my eyes will show and appear red and purple.  Thus, I use both a green/yellow and natural-colored concealer to disguise this area.  He drove to my house on a summer day when he was supposed to be at a conference.  I was wearing a tube top and sunscreen--no makeup at all, no concealer.  My hair was pulled away from my face.  I was washing my car, moving and singing along to the blasting music, and he hugged me and said, "Hello, my . . . um . . . hi . . . you look different today . . . somehow . . . oh, you have some freckles . . ."  You had to be there to see the look on his face for Gigi au natural, and we laugh about it to this day.  No wonder he doesn't complain about the number of beauty products in our home!

There was a time, before make-up, when I would duck my head, turn up my collar and wrap my scarp up over my nose to hide the fact that my face reflected a red moon, with craters and mountains. Then came make-up, and things got better. My confidence not the least. Beautiful eyes, full lips, blushing cheeks...for an hour or two in the morning. Before a two hours bus drive to get to university in the morning, and a brisk 20 minutes walk through chilly, damp morning air. Before wet leaves shaking themselves free the moment I pass under the colourful boughs. By the time I reach the bathroom, not only has my mascara started to run from my tears caused by the wind, but my face looks worse than ever before! Half covered pimples and scars standing out like beacons, so very visible just because of my attempt to cover them. I've tried different techniques, different formulas, different price ranges and they are all the same. Even on sunny summer days, getting the concealer to stay put seems to be an impossible task! Certain days, I just want to wrap that scarf around it all again and be invisible.

My biggest concealer issues is probably my undereyes, they have been so dark and purple lately! I cover with all the tools I have, liquid concealer, then set with powder, but it's no good. Not only does it get cakey, but I feel like it just dissappears throughout the day, I have no idea how, maybe it just evaporates off my face or something. So by mid day I have horrible undereye circles again! I also conceal blemishes I have on my face with a mineral loose powder foundation, but I wish I had something that would heal them instead of just concealing the problem, this concealer sounds like it does just that!

i am always on the hunt for a good concealer- i can never find one that conceals the scars my cheeks (from break outs-they are so red and take forever to fade! mint concealer doesnt work well for me) it doent matter how hard i try i can never really conceal them , it makes me feel really self conscious i dont wear my hair up because i feel like the scars are too on show! It would really change my llife to find a concealer that actually works-sounds dramatic but its true! i spend ages trying to conceal the scars on my cheek every morning and i worry about how they look all day! I find that i can conceal the marks on my face well then as soon as i put blusher on it clings to the concealed spots and they look red/dark again!!!! i cant contour because my scars are where i wouldput the shading so the dark colour just exacerbates the problem- wow rant over! also my sister has lovely skin but really blue circles under her eyes i have tried everything on these and nothing works so if i won this i would split it with her and really hope it works well because i know her dark circles upset her so much and it would make her so happy to be able to hide them! x

I would love to be able to conceal them and appear to have an even skin tone.

My main problem is very dark undereye circles, which are genetic, unfortunately :(.  At the moment I am using three concealers on them, a pink one, to lighten, a yellow one, to brighten, and a beige one to blend them in, but I still get asked why I look so tired.  One day I was running really late and didn't have time for more than a quick brush of foundation.  I had people asking me all day if I was alright! It would be so fantastic to find one concealer that effectively covers my circles.

I want to stop my obsessive issues with searching for the perfect concealer. How many time I have been on here...asking for advise? I would have full acceptance, and know that there is actually something out there called Kharmic Khameleon by Dr. Dima's  Cosminology, that will cover under eye circles and more. I would then move on to obsessively sharing the results with everyone that loves talking about beauty products, and the fact that there is something out there that actually exists that is a miracle! Yes I would love to have flawless skin.. who wouldn't right? The skin issues I've been dealing with are blemish scars.. been having a bad case of the acne along the chin area.. and it's not the typical acne (ie. whiteheads) that I've been getting.. This is more like deeper cystic ones that leave dark scars (!) and now it's just a horrible patch that won't leave. Anyone have remedies to lighten/fade dark spots?

shaybear says,

I've struggled with foundations and concealers from the moment I was brave enough to use them at age 23.  It took me 20-something years to gain the courage to actually go into a department store and ask a consultant to recommend something for my skin tone and skin type.  Can you believe it? And yes, this is coming from a confident, well-adjusted young woman - I can only imagine what it's like for ladies who aren't brimming with self-worth!
The skin I live in is pretty interesting.  For starters, I have eczema on my body, and I sometimes get it on my face.  This is bought on by a variety of allergens from pet-hair, pet saliva, plants, pollen, dust, heat, sweat – you name it, it can cause me to break out in huge welts and scratch my poor skin until it’s a bleeding, cracking mess!
Then, there’s the fact that the skin on my face around my t-zone is rather oily.  To the point where I will have a minor heart-attack if I think I’ve left the house without my mattifying powder.
Also, we can’t forget my skins extreme sensitivity.  It can break-out and become red and inflamed by heavily perfumed products, and it really really doesn’t like anything overly oily or abrasive.  It sounds something like a pestilent child, doesn’t it?
I’ve been using MAC Studio Fix foundation for a few years now, and find it works reasonably well.  It covers my imperfections, doesn’t cause any horrible break-outs, but hasn’t managed to fix my oil-slick issues.  I use mattifying powder every few hours [on the dot!] to stop my t-zone turning into a mirror for everyone around me.
I would absolutely love some help in this area and would relish the chance to try some targeted products on my problem skin!  Thanks Meg and MissRo – love you girls!  ♥

Ohh if I could find the perfect concealer... I have tried hundreds of different concealers through the years.  My challenge is that I am fair, have sensitive skin with broken capillaries and breakouts.  And then to add another layer of complexity, I have flaky patches that concealer many times accentuate.  I am 45 and also have to watch out for concealers that tend to migrate into the lines under my eyes.  So, I would LOVE to find a great concealer!!  That would make all my other makeup  look that much better.

himekosorano says,

I have large pores and acne and super redness on my cheeks and nose and chin.  I have this odd combination of shades under my eyes.  Greenish-blue-purple is how I'd describe it.  Kinda like half a black eye.  If I apply concealer, it cakes and doesn't sink in so it looks like I have something sitting on top.  If I apply powder foundation, it settles into the fine lines (horror!) under my eyes and makes me look 40.  I have super oily skin that lately my foundation is not sticking to, so all my makeup is sliding off.  I start out with a full face and come home with an uncovered, oily nose, a naked chin and just about every blemish or discolored spot on my face out there for the world to see.  Joy.

My frustration are black spots and shine in my face. Regarding dark circles I am concerned about lack of coverage.

Furthermore, I never get the tone of the whole side is matched by the tone under the eyes, you see the difference.
