GETTING TO KNOW DR. DIMA, MS. COSMINOLOGY
MissRo here! Well, we have been getting to know a lot about the Cosminology line. I'm still experimenting with a couple, but my fav so far is the Cosmic Ray Shield SPF 36 Your Skin's Solar Eclipse. I've started to use the AstroPucker Me All Over the Galaxy Galactic Lip Plumper at night and let me tell you, the lips are looking good the next morning. So, with that said, it's time we get to know the woman behind these products, Dr. Dima...
*My name and hometown? Everyone calls me Dr. Dima or Dr. D and I’m from “Big D,” (Dallas, Texas)
*My start in life was to do this? When I was 4 years old, my favorite show was Marcus Welby, M.D. (Tom and Jerry, I Dream of Jeannie and Lost in Space were also in the mix). I ended up taking the scenic route but I think I was always destined to become a doctor. I think the rest is all DNA – my father is a PhD scientist and my mother is an artist so I guess being a Cosmetic Dermatologist is the natural genetic result of that combination.
*The path I took towards cosmetics was driven by this? I would have to say that having really horrible skin growing up was definitely a factor. Frustration with the frequent reactions I had with many products was also a factor. When I took Organic Chemistry in college, I won first place in a “make your own cream” competition. My kitchen doubled as my lab for years. The rest is history.
*I want all women to know this about themselves? Never forget that we all have an inner goddess that shines brightly on the inside even when we don’t feel or look so hot on the outside. But then we have goddesses like Meg to help us with that!
*My goal is to bring each user of my products this? Freedom, clarity and a smile. Your skin will be healthier than it’s ever been so it will look the best it’s ever looked. Then you’ll be “free and clear” to focus on your other life goals and passions. Also, even though my products are clinical grade, I gave them all quirky names. It’s both a reflection of my personality and it makes my patients smile. So they have great skin and they’re smiling! What more could I possibly ask for?
*I believe in all of my products, but if I could urge each woman to try this one (pick your favorite) I would? OMG this question is so hard to answer! It’s like taking your kids to a candy store and telling them they can only pick one! If I had to leave my house with only one product (one from each of my lines…) it would be the Kharmic Khameleon Koncealer from the Minacles mineral line and the Hi-Plutonic C from the Skinacles clinical skincare line. I have hereditary dark circles and have literally tried everything. The combination of these two products is phenomenal.
*Style influences vary, I would say my style is most like this? Classic Contemporary with Curves.
*I started my line because I couldn't find this? Skincare products that really worked without making me break out in a rash and feel like my skin was on fire! I started the Minacles mineral miracle line because I suffered a facial laser scar and nothing was working to cover it up.
*I deliver this with each product? Peace of mind that you’re getting the best.
*When I see a women make this mistake I cringe? When they spend $400 on a half ounce of over the counter empty promises.
*My products care about the way you look like no one else's because of this? Because I care about the way you look like no one else.
*Lastly, if I were at a bar I'd order this? A mimosa (or two).
*True or False, I'm going to tell you when there's spinach between your teeth? True and you’ll hopefully do the same for me.

I just checked out her website and the concealer looks fantastic. I'm always looking for a high coverage concealer because I have tons of acne scaring.

I'm very excited to hear about this concealer. I've been looking for one that covers my roseaca. My skin has become very red on my cheeks. I look sunburn and my cheeks are super dry. I have tried a few brands well known for their great coverage, but they were not all that great. You might be the answer to my prayers. : )Thanks!

Dr. Dima, thank you getting interviewed by Meg's Makeup! I can tell you do care a lot about your patients, and your products seem really nice... I have some dark acne scars that drive me crazy, AND dark undereye circles, and am thinking about getting your concealer...However, I'm a little confused. On your homepage, it says that AstroKhameleon will be the "best mineral concealer you've ever used or your money back." Yet on your store policies page, it says,"REFUND POLICY Thank you for visiting Cosminology! Please select your products carefully. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. We do not accept returns or exchanges to ensure the quality of all our products. We have carefully described all products and colors to assist in your color selection. If you have any questions please get in touch with us using the contact form."I've had a very hard time finding the perfect concealer, and don't want to pay $22 + $4.95 shipping for something that might not be a good color match for me, or that isn't the right color.

what a fantastic line! thanks for the interview, i always love reading where others got their ideas from and other random facts :)i think this development is phenomenal, women are surely overpaying for big brand mediocre produce (a lot of the skincare claim to reduce wrinkles, bags or discolouration after testing on 50 or so women... no where near a valid sample size.. that's just bad science!)

Wow, the before and after is incredible looking. Anyway, Dr. Dima is very pretty and I like her sincerity. I would tell someone about spinach too. I tell perfect strangers when they have anything on their face, teeth, clothes, because it's polite (IMO). Hopefully someone would do the same for me.

I've been using Dr. Dima's Karmic Khameleon concealer for over a year now. I've thrown away all my drugstore concealers and even my Clinique concealer and MAC. Nothing works like K.Khameleon. I have dark circles and fine lines. This concealer blends beautifully, doesn't crease, doesn't flake or dry skin and looks completely natural. In fact, I don't wear foundation and you can't tell where the concealer ends and my natural skin begins! I also suffer from allergies and can't wear most eye makeup without a reaction. No problems whatsoever with K.Kham.BTW, I also use her blush and love it. I think her products definitely make me look younger.I don't see what the big deal is about the return policy. Two weeks is more than enough time to see if you react to a product or don't like the color. We're talking high end, clinical products made by a skin doctor. You get what you pay for ladies and I can tell you, first hand, it's more than worth it!
I think we live in a society where we are used to being able to try something and if we don't like it... can be honest about it and bring it back. There is nothing worse then having spent your hard earned money and trying something that really doesn't work on you. I always think to myself, if I am being questioned with returning a product and I am honest with them, what is there to dispute? The product may have not have worked for me as it claimed to. But I am the one going to the effort to bring it back and let them know that it didn't work. It's either that or I cringe every time I look at it, and throw it in my bin of unused make-up. (feeling more guilty for the purchase) I know when I own a company, I would want to hear every concern that my customers have and want to get back to them. Loyalty goes far. Dr.Dima I really hope you don't mind my honesty here. I really want to try your line, and I am sure that it is amazing like the reviews say. I too love these posts where we get to know the face behind the products! They're always so interesting! Dr. Dima, you sound like an amazing woman! I'm very interested in this concealer you're all raving about, it sounds fabulous! I find it hard to cover my dark circles completely, even though they're not that bad. I usually have to use a few different products to cover them, it would be great if I just had to use one!
Dr D your a great advertisment for your own brand youve gotta love a clinical grade product with the fun factor that's pretty unique-I'm intriged with the concealear,skincare and lipproducts-everything really,also this would be a great brand to intriduce anyone to a proper skincare routine.

As you can see by my pic I am a fan. I have been waiting for Dr D to be discovered on Megs. I have the mineral powder compact in my purse, it wears like a dream with ease, no mess. I am fair complected and burn thru most SPF's. I used Cosmic Ray Shield SPF 36 in Las Vegas and it protected my face, it was HOT there too. I was sent a sample of Dr D's products when I ordered the compact. I put the products in my cosmetic bag on my way to Sin City. I love Cosmic Ray Shield SPF 36. Try the compact, if you like mineral make up, you'll love this.
Her line sounds perfect for me! If her stuff can cover that kind of scar then I'm sure it will be able to cover my birthmark!

Not all products are developed by doctors! I totally understand about the "official sounding names" though. But life's too short not to have a little fun with what we do best, right?
No wonder Cosminology is so good! It is so cool that you know first hand how it is how to have bad skin. The right makeup that actually covers up skin can really be worth a lot of money to the women who weren't born with picture perfect skin.
