BOOGIE WIPES! WHEN YOU WANT YOUR KIDS TO DANCE-JUST DON'T WANT THEM TO REALLY BOOGIE!
BabyLove here! Are you ever shocked by what you are capable of doing as a mom? The other day I was eating a turkey sandwich when William called me from the bathroom to wipe his bum. I put the sandwich down, wiped his bum, washed my hands, and continued eating. It wasn't until later that evening that I found myself utterly amazed by what I had done. Five years ago, the thought of wiping a bum would have made me gag. NOW, however, I'm quite able to wipe bums and eat at almost the exact same time?..Disgusting, and probably not a resume builder. This topic, gross things we do for our kids, leads me to the only thing that I really can't handle as a mother, and that's boogers. Nasty booger noses make me gag. Runny, green snot noses aren't allowed in my house which is why last year I turned to BOOGIE WIPES!
Last winter both of my kids had 6 ear infections a piece. Most commonly an ear infection follows a cold, and is the result of improper drainage. So for each ear infection that my boys suffered from, a nasty cold came first. Each cold was worse than the one before, and the red, raw nose that lasted long after the infection was gone, really did a number on William's willingness to blow his nose. One day in Target, I came across a package of what I thought were wipes, but turned out to be SO MUCH MORE. Boogie Wipes are made with saline, vitamin e, aloe, and chamomile. The saline acts as a dissolvent for those gross, stuck on boogies and the vitamin e, aloe, and chamomile soothe and prevent chapped noses. They are packaged in a small, travel size wipes package with an actual lid to prevent them from drying out. I've carried these in my baby bag, my pocket book, and kept them in my glove compartment. They smell soo good, just like Hubba Bubba Grape bubble gum, and best of all, kids love them because they DON'T HURT. These wipes have become a staple in my life, and it's such a shame because most moms didn't even know they exist-until now of course!
Last week I was strapping William into his car seat so we could head out for school.
Me: Let me wipe your nose.
William: No one wants to hang around with the kid who has boogers all over his face?
Me: Exactly.
AM I bad mom for telling my son the truth about boogers? Maybe, but I don't think so. Please, please wipe your kids nose before they head out the door, and do it with a BOOGIE WIPE. They'll thank you for a number of reasons, but most importantly because no one wants to hang around with the kid who has boogers all over his face.
What are your secrets for getting your kids out the door footloose and snot-free?

Those sound great! I don't have kids yet, but couldn't adults use them too! :) I sure hate the raw nose feeling after a terrible cold.

I've seen them in the store, but I've always just walked past them assuming that they were just another "baby wipe" with a new gimmick. I never actually picked up the pack and read it. Hmm...I'll have to pick some up for my son's snottiers days. :)
They sound neat!! I also dislike the raw nose feeling and if I had kids I would totally give them to them!! Maybe I will need them one day if I have kids...ahhh thats kind of a scary thought lol...
I have a 9 month old baby that has had 3 colds already! He is the most pleasant baby ever, until you try to wipe his nose..then it's a whole different story!! He fights and wiggles his head back and forth so hard that it's almost impossible to wipe his nose "gently". I will have to look for these wipes the next time I'm in Target, they could definitely be a lifesaver!
OMG!!!! Thank god i don't have children..LOL!BUT this sounds perfect for some of my friends who have children bc there is nothing worse than seeing a kid with boogers that are hard and crusted to their nose--it just looks sore :*(I hope this works for some of you out there ;)
While I don't have kids of my own, I know a kid or two who has a tendency to pick their nose... yet they aren't too fond of washing their hands! I've found that fun smelling hand sanitizer can help a lot! Walmart has some colored and scented minis in the travel items isle (blue raspberry, anyone?).

Oh man. Ever since I had a baby nephew, since like Feb, Ive noticed the disgustingness of boogers. I absolutely hate them lol. Apparently you have a little tubey sucker thing. lol I didnt know those existed till recently lol
hmm, I've interuppted my dinner to clean the cat box, does that count?
What a funny story Babylove! Yes I have wiped a few, plus do not hesitate one bit to offer their friends a Kleenex. As a mom we clean everything. It's plain 'ol yucky! But it comes with the job description. I can't wait to try these. What a great name!

The boogie wipe is simply AMAZING! My daughter has very fair skin and gets an irritated red nose with one little blow. So you can imagine how horrible I feel when she gets a cold and I have to hand her a tissue… I know she is going to be chapped within minutes. As soon as we got the boogie wipes we both came down with a cold. I immediately grabbed the grape scented gems and let her use them every time she wiped her nose. It was amazing..she was wiping all day and no red chapped nose. They leave your nose so moisturized and soft. The best part of the boogie wipes is when she brought them to her preschool and all the children were gathered around the cute little wipe holder laughing so hard because it said “boogie” on it.

Im not a mother so Im not one to judge...But I am TOTTALLY GROSSED OUT when I see some kid with nasty crusty snot oozing down their face, and the crust indicates nothing has been done about in at least 20 minutes.I just want to hand the mother a napkin and be like... here take 2 seconds before I throw up in your Late that you obviously had time to stop and get.YUK!!!I should buy these and just keep them behind the counter.Just thinking about it grosses me out!!!

lol!!! I don't have any kids but i'm a super neat/clean freak when it comes to personal hygiene.. I splash antispetic gel on my bf every now and then, get gets really annoy though lol. my mum is overly hygenic too hence she kept me squeaky clean when i was young.. of course in 89 we didn't have boogie wipes, i think i just had some tissue or handkerchief with me all the time.but when i have kids, i am definitely going to get 10 packs of those!

What a funny article Babylove, and it sounds like a really interesting product. I will have to add it to the list of products to by when I eventually have kids!
I want these now - not when I have kids! I always end up with a sore nose from a cold, so I'd use them myself! They sound great! :)They even ship internationally!!
sounds cool !!!you review is cute !!! yes a woman can be a mum in a short time ;)
These sound great! I have a 4 and a 5 year old. We go through boxes of tissue. I want a pack of these for every room in my house now that it is cold and flu season. The "dissolve mucus" feature is what hooked me in. What a blessing! I hope these really work!
How funny are these I could have done with these when my son was little but his 8 years old next month so he's boogie free now :-)
My three year old loves these!! The really yummy smell of grape bubble gum made her want to do it all by herself. I love them too because it completely put an end to the days of "Come here let me wipe your nose." and then have your kids running the other way. Now its actually fun?! Who knew it could be that easy.I have to admit when I first saw these I thought "Another baby product to make people money". BUT now that I've used then I realize its genius! There are two reasons why I will be buying boogie wipes again -They are extremely gentle on toddlers and baby noses and they make kids excited about wiping and blowing there nose by themselves. Anything that makes my three year old more independent is something I will be stocking up on:)
Thank god I do have children. The excuses to shop are endless. I really do like these because kids noses do sometimes run endlessly (even when they are not ill) and once they see you coming at them with yet another tissue to they turn into world class sprinters/escape artists and that tissue and nose will never make contact. Even a kid who will let you wipe his/her nose hates the raw feeling that comes with a cold. This is a great idea and if your disposable income lets you indulge, do it, especially if you live in a very cold climate where the skin is alreay chapped from exposure. BOOGEY on girls!
seems like this would be a great solution for raw little noses.. actually i'd be tempted to use them myself!

Is it bad that I want to rush out and get some of these for myself?? I've got a bad cold right now and these sound like a lifesaver!
These look like a great! I'm glad you posted this. I use baby wiper regularly (but have no babies). I use them as sanitizers but I smell of fresh baby butt. I'll pick them up & try the out!
These are amazing! My 11-month old hasn't had many colds so far (lucky us!) but he does have fairly dry skin, prone to chafing. The drool from teething turned his chin bright red and made it dry and crusty! So, I knew that I had to be really careful when he got a real cold. When he got a bad cold this summer, I knew we were in trouble when his little nose was red on the first day. Even being super careful and coating his nose with vaseline before bed didn't stop the red, sore, painful nose. Poor kid. It was like a wrestling match to clean his face. Then...I got these Boogie Wipes! I love them. After many giggles with my husband about the title, we tried them. They are so smooth and you can just feel the moisture and the healing chamomile. Kyle barely moved his head the first time I wiped with them. And one little wipe took care of everything! And they smell so yummy! During the last few weeks, as our New England weather changed, Kyle's had a little stuffy nose. Nothing major, but he definitely wakes up with booger crust all over his face. These wipes are great for morning clean up, (face, hands, eyebrows, whatever) and his face is soft and sweet smelling all day. These are so convenient, we have one in his room and ran out and bought 2 more packs, one for his diaper bag and one extra. Because I don't ever want to run out of these!
Thank goodness my little man has not come down with a cold so I would need to use this delicious grape-scented boogie wipes! Knock on wood! I've kept this package in my diaper bag and used it many times to wipe his sensitive skinned face when we've been "on the run". These wipes have been invaluable for removing sticky/crusty food and wiping the occasional runny nose. A few times my little guy has said "ummm, yummy mommy" at the scrumptious grape smell. These wipes are definitely not your average baby wipe -- the saline, chamomile and very kid-friendly scent make them stand above the rest. I will absolutely buy some more boogie wipes when I run out -- especially since cold and flu season is quickly approaching!
I am soo excited to try these! If one of my boys doesn't have boogies the other does...it's a never ending cycle of snot in my house - YUCK! Thanks for the great review
SEE...this is JUST what I was talking about in my last review. Mom's and boogies...its just crazy to see how they handle everything in stride.LOVE TO THE MOM'S AND BOOGIE WIPES. Sounds like a great gift for my mom friends!
Love, hugs and shoes...Angie
I wish I had known about these a week or so ago when my whole family came down with a real nasty cold! Our noses are still red and raw.You do find the most useful things!A tip about bad colds if you have trouble sleeping because of a stuffed nose and sleep on your side. Bunch up a bit of tissue paper and stuff it up the nostril that is most blocked, go to sleep on that side. Of some reason, the other nostril will unblock and you will be able to breath again. :)
I got these at Wal Mart and use them on my 21 month old allllll the time, and love them!!!
OMG - with a 3 1/2 year old these sound perfect. Wish I had known about them sooner! Thank you for sharing.
These are great! It seems like my 2 years old son constantly has a runny nose or something gross stuck to his face. The Boogie Wipes work so much better than the babywipes I've used in the past. I only need to use 1 boogie wipe to clean his whole face. I love the grape scent and especially love how soft and thick they are. After wiping Bryce's face with one,his skin feels softer than before. I will definitely buy Boogie Wipes from now on .
ha no you are definately not a bad mum for telling your son that about boogers! i hate snotty noses and dirty ears! takes 2 seconds to wipe your kids nose (they dont really like it but it has to be done!) my mum saw a lady let her child blow her snotty nose on her sleeve the other day!!!!! ha! crazy people!
I'm a huuuuge fan of wipes. i've done my share of babysitting and they definitely make this easier lol. But I also love facial wipes....great for removing make-up when u can't get to a bathroom, or even for blowing ur nose or wiping ur hands!
I don't have kids yet, but I could totally see myself using these. I hate how raw and red your nose gets whenever you get sick from wiping your nose too much. It hurts! I would definitely buy these if they worked well.
I love this, everyone should use them!
Letita
I've never heard of these before! Thanks for sharing, BabyLove. I don't have any kids, but my aunt had a baby several months ago. I will pass the word on to her to give these a try!
I am so glad that there are still moms out there who take the time to keep their kid's noses clean! I see so many kids every day with stuff hanging out of their noses, and all I can think is: "doesn't his mother care enough to wipe his little nose?"
Love your review, I think I need these (I've been sick for the past TWO WEEKS!)
These looks great! I don't have any kids yet, but I do babysit for young kids, and have had plenty of issues with nose-wiping in the past. I know these would have made things a lot easier for everyone!
Boogie Wipes are something I can't live without now! I keep them in my car, and always wipe Dawson's nose before school, because babylove, you are right noone wants to hang around with the booger faced kid..I remember that..its the cruel truth. With cold season coming these should be getting alot of use. And they smell yummy! Like grapes, my sons love the way they smell, and they don't even mind getting their face's wiped now. Liam (my 2 and a half year old) runs to me now when I ask if he wants his face wiped..they love the yummy grape smell. These wipes are awesome!
Loved these wipes!! I used them on Cole when he had the worst runny nose!! They smell great too! I recently had a sinus infection, and after the sides of my nose felt like they were abused with sand paper...I tried the boogie wipes!! It was so gentle on my skin! The packaging is great as well! I would recommend them to anyone!
I will be gifting these to my niece. She is 5 and is always down with a cold in the winter. Her poor little nose gets all red and painful. I bet these will be great for her. (although, I may have to buy extra for myself).

lol i wish my mom had this when i was younger
All I can say is YES!!!!!! My youngest will let me wipe his nose now (at 7 months he has shown that he is definitely the most difficult out of my two - thank goodness my little girl came first because Charlie would be an only child otherwise.....). He can't stand me cleaning his face at all, but the yummy scent distracts him enough so that I can actually wipe his face. I also tried it on my 3 yr old nephew who has the same feelings about wiping his face and he saidliterally "Mmm, that's good!". I guess that says enough!
Oh my God, BabyLove you have done it again! I care for my partner's two young children [3 and 6] every fortnight and have become increasingly disillusioned with the sheer amount of colds and ear infections they get!! It doesn't seem to matter how well they eat, or how clean their hands are, they still get ill. Over and over and over and.. you get the picture. These sound PERFECT! I know our littlest one really hates blowing his nose, and it's usually down to one of us to look over and notice a big sticky booger hanging out of his nose and do the blowing for him. This sounds like the solution to our problems! And it smells yummy, you say?! And doesn't hurt?! I want to marry you BabyLove! ♥Hopefully I can find them in Australia. Fingers crossed!
I got a sample of from the company when I was NYC over the summer, we don't have any kids but I can tell you they are great for adults too. I have bad allergies and my nose always seems to run (attractive, isn't it?) when I walk a lot. These came in handy and kept my nose from getting red and raw.
They seem okay but couldn't you just use kleenex with lotion? Heheh, all the kids I know would be far more interested in wiping their noses on their sleeves. :D
that's too cute - it's also good if they're not eating them lol!I saw these a while back online and thought they were genius. I was in Florida last week for the Artist Summit and caught a nasty cold. Thinking back to when I went trolling through the halls of Walmart seeking Dayquil and Mucinex and whatever else would make everything go away, I passed Boogie Wipes and commented to a friend about how genius and cute they were. Only now, as I put cocoa butter on my scrapped nose for the upteenth time I realize they should've went into my emergency stash too!..you live you learn

I've never heard of these, but I personally love the Kleenex that have the lotion in them... they are soo soft and moisturizing! Gone are the days of a bright red, irritated nose!
I've never heard of these before now, and I'm not a mother yet but seriously, wouldn't these be great for anyone with a cold or allergies?! I know I'd sure use them! :PI have a relative who's pregnant at the moment and another one who's just had a baby, I'm sure they'd appreciate a gift like this! Definitely gonna look into getting them some. :DAnd I have to add that I can't stand seeing kids with snotty noses, argh! I'll definitely be using these when I have kids (in the distant future!) :P
I would totally use these for myself! I always get a red, chapped nose when I have a cold.
