COLLECTIVE WELLBEING! PURIFYING CINNAMON CLAY CLEANSER!
Sweetassgal here battling the results of skin put into utter chaos by a lack of routine, change in locale and just a little bit more than normal stress in this gal's life. I went to Hawaii and spent a week chasing kids and sweating my sweet ass off in the the unbearable September humidity. The resulting oil slick that accumulated on my face broke me out BIG time and left me with plenty of pimples to test out on a new face wash. But it was all worth it because I got to spend 7 full days getting to know my adorable nephews and learning that Jennifer is a Wonder Mom! This girl could change a poopie diaper with one hand, suck boogie's with that little rubber thing with the other, dance and sing like a crazy woman to entertain the boys and probably STILL find 101 uses for diaper wipes! Is it just me or do they work on EVERYTHING!
So now that I'm back in the comfort of dry Valley weather sans wee one's I'm looking forward to cocktails in the hot tub, being able to cuss at free will again and of course, indulging in some selfish "me" time which translates in Mommie terms to "exactly 5 minutes to actually groom yourself". Seriously ladies with babies...hats off to you for all you do each and every day. Motherhood is such a wonderful thing but I really do see the sacrifices you make raising the little one's. So for you Jen...and all mothers out there...I've been settling down each night with a nice glass of wine and a new tube of Collective Wellbeing's Purifying Cinnamon/Clay Cleanser to combat my island breakout.
I love, love, love the motivation behind this company and their purpose in the world. They talk about the "little things that count" and doing things, small things, that add up to the greater good. Making products that work and giving back to the community are the fundamentals that drive their philosophy and having spent a week with the toddling and cooing future of our world this is something I appreciate greatly. And clear skin? Well that's a priority in and of itself! So I set out to begin and end each day with an invigorating wash that tingles your senses with the scent of cinnamon and the clarifying properties of Kaolin clay. It's no secret that clay is excellent at drawing out impurities but I had NO idea cinnamon was a natural purifier itself! This face cleanser is applied and massaged into your skin for about a minute or so and then rinsed completely. You'll want to leave it on like a mask out of habit but the massaging action is all you will need to reap the benefits of the clay and the small scrubbers throughout. It rinses clean and oil is noticeably reduced. Over the last full week I have noticed a gradual reduction in the break out I had experienced and a return of balance to my skin. Unfortunately, I managed to grow one of those deep neck pimples...the kind where you can't pop it because you'll collapse your wind pipe and you can't effectively treat it because its now been granted its own zip code. This was the greatest challenge for Collective Wellbeing's purifying properties and after one week its not gone (nor forgotten) but greatly reduced. Now it just gets its mail at the UPS store along with packing materials and picture postcards of animals wearing funny hats. SAYONARA pimple!
I really liked the exhilarating scent of cinnamon and was happy with the results of my week long use of Purifying Cinnamon/Clay Cleanser but will probably save this cleanser for when I need to bring out the big guns. I don't think I'll need it on a daily basis. However, like a good Mom does...I'll be ready, cleanser in one hand and martini in the other (I have teenagers...so its okay!) ready to do double duty and attack those kits with the power of Cinnamon and Kaolin Clay! A word of warning though...never have a "pimple popping party" after a few cocktails. You'll regret it. Trust me!

Ooooo I bet this smells gorgeous I love cinnamon, I don't use cleansers myself but I think this would be a great Christmas gift !!!!
This will be perfect on a cold day with a cup of Chai Tea. I love the aroma of cinnamon.
Definitely sounds like a cold weather cleanser! And i like that you don't have to leave it on forever to get it to work. thanks!
This is just one great cleanser, I got this from Meg for redeeming my points:-D! I love it and use it almost every day. The cinnamon smells great and if you have oily/combination skin like I have this is the stuff for you!
Make up your beauty-full mind...

I love cinnamon...so I think I would love this! Maybe I will get some of this today and try it out. Thanks for the review!
"Unfortunately, I managed to grow one of those deep neck pimples...the kind where you can't pop it because you'll collapse your wind pipe and you can't effectively treat it because its now been granted its own zip code."LOL...This is so funny, yet we can all relate! So, I've gotta ask. What kind of cinnamon smell are we talking here--like, natural cinnamon or candy cinnamon? (I find the latter repulsive).
It's natural cinnamon. The spicy kind!!! LOVE IT!
Love, hugs and shoes...Angie
Yay! I bet it smells SO good.
Hmm.. I've never had an acne problem but cinnamon in a clay cleanser sounds divine!

i love cinnamon! glad to hear that this helped out your skin. this sounds like something perfect during the hotter months when i tend to be more oily, but i'm sure it works great during the colder months when our faces need that bit of warmth feeling from the cinnamon. great review!

Oh, I do love cinnamon. But it always reminds me of cinnamon rolls, which in turn creates this incredible craving for them that can't be controlled so as good as this sounds, it would wreck havoc upon what little figure I do still have. :)Thanks for the review, however. I always love reading all these reviews.
haha that's what I was thinking! If I smell cinnamon, I want Cinnabon! NOT on my diet plan.
i don't know if i ate a cinnamon roll this afternoon because i actually wanted one or if i remembered reading your comment and then had to have one! :) regardless, it was a good cinnamon roll! i remember one night i was watching Food Network really late at night and it was a competition on who could make the best cinnamon roll. Of course I wanted to eat one after watching it, but instead went to sleep because all the stores were closed. the funny thing is, is that i had a dream that i ate some. it was fantastic!

Great review Angie. Sounds like a product I should definitely keep on hand. My skin decided to rebel a few years ago with adult acne and although some products have helped, nothing has really banished it.

"the kind where you can't pop it because you'll collapse your wind pipe and you can't effectively treat it because its now been granted its own zip code" Had a serious chuckle over that one Gal. This sounds great. I wondered how the cinammon did on your skin. Did it burn at all or were you really red after you used it?
Style may be on the surface, but you can be deep and still have some - Clarissa Gough
I have really sensitive skin and this did not irritate it, burn or cause any redness. I would hate it if it did. The cinnamon in enticing but not harsh.

:) I think 99% of us can relate to the "zipcode" comment,LOL! Love this cleanser!!! It's creamy/scrubby at the same time and when my skin is screaming in agony from a heavier than usual makeup or a harder than I like workout,THIS is what I run to for a soothing and truly purifying not to mention sensory experience! Great company as well...
Welcome back sweetassgal from Hawaii and carloads of emotional stress educing situations! It's so good to hear from you! I also was laughing at your description of 'deep neck' pimples! My husband gets that kind of intense killer eruptions on his neck and face sometimes too. It seems like nothing but time works with those babies! They appear and they torment and they take their sweet time before they are ready to completely disappear! If this could help my man with those evil pot boiler eruptions then I'll cleanse his face with stuff myself!I was lucky enough to try this lovely Collective wellbeing purifying clay cleanser too! On the tube it indicates that this product is BEST FOR: oily/combo skin. I have mostly dry skin but I wanted to try this out anyway! As soon as you squeeze some of the cleanser you will be thinking about fresh cinnamon muffins or cinnamon struesel baking in your oven! It smells SO good!! Like you kinda want to lick your own face good!!! I did as instructions indicated and swirled the product around my face and neck. I rinsed it off and my skin felt great! My husband needs to try this stuff so I will see if I can talk him into trying this instead of his usual no-special-ingredient facial cleaner. I have a hunch it might be good for his skin!I see Collective wellbeing has a Facebook page and that as of today there are 2,328 fans! I'd say their products must work to have such a large fan base! I like the fact that on their actual website they provide reviews of users of their product - that always helps me a lot to identify what products could work for me also! One product I'd love to try that I read about on their website is Night Balm (Shea Butter/Lavender)! In the description it says, "Shea Butter, a natural fat from the fruit of the karite tree, actually gives "fat" a good name, especially when put to work on your dry skin. The wonder of this thick, milled cream is that it nourishes and stimulates skin cell metabolism while its natural antioxidant and restructuring properties restore lost moisture. Pure lavender essential oil calms mind, body and soul. Together, they begin their work when you say "goodnight." Then the review it got was this!... "I have very dry skin which is especially worse in the winter months. After using the night balm for just one night the next morning I woke up and my skin as so soft and supple. I look forward to using it every night. Since my skin is so dry and very hard to hydrate during the day I even use a thin layer of the night balm under my daily moisturizer. My skin stays soft and hydrated all during the day now as well." This sounds RIGHT UP MY ALLEY with my dry skin! And winter is coming...the more I read about their products, the more I find myself wanting to order something! If this Purifying Clay Cleanser isn't right up your alley, check out the other products they sell and I think at least one of them will call to you!
Jeanasina!
I'm one of the rare people who actually breakout from Kaolin Clay. :( This sounds great for those that can use it, though.
kimchi i was just going to say that! koaling dries my skin out when i use it then an hour later my oil production goes into overdrive!!! but i loooooove cinnamon this sounds so nice- i agree that its probaby good to use when the big guns are needed!
This sounds so good! Bet it really does smell delicious. :D I've been having a few break outs lately (which is kinda weird because even though my skin is pretty oily, I usually don't break out that much) so this would probably help with that. :PI too was cracking up over your description of 'deep neck pimples' :P Aren't they just horrible?!
This stuff looks great. I have to try it!!

This sounds amazing...I love nothing more than sitting in the tub with a nice book and a face full of mud :)I feel so clean and i feel like i'm trying to help my skin! Which right now needs it so badly--i'm broken out so badly! I have the aztec secret mineral clay and i'm hoping that i can put that on tonight ;)
This sounds SO amazing!I LOVE the smell of cinnamon, and I have a very very weak spot for clay masks. The tingling sensation must be awesome too.
I've never heard of this company or any products with cinnamon in them besides lip plumpers, this sound really interesting. I love the smell of cinnamon, too.
mmmm...cinnamon...yummy
I need a new cleanser for my oily skin, and I love it when it smells good, because then I'm not in such a hurry to rinse off. I have this lavender hair masque that puts me to sleep when I breathe in the scent, so I have to use it on a night I don't need to get up early to do my hair, because I'm too relaxed to rinse and do my hour long blow dry process. And I totally agree, I admire anyone who manages to take care of one kid, let alone multiple ones, some days I can barely take care of myself!!!
The cleanser sounds really yummy, I love cinammon.
That looks very interesting :)
OMG the neck pimple LOL I HATE the neck pimple!!!!!!!! I get them from time to time and seriously dont now why!!!! I change my pillow case everynight!!!!!Yes im a little OCD... especially about my face, so pillowcase=gross= ive got a whole drawer full.Does the cinnamon burn?A purifying clay mask sounds soooo good.\I have oily skin, and what I really want is a product that can change my skin completely, a skin transformation to balenced normal skin!ive had oily and acne prone all my life!!well here's to when im 60 and finally have dry skin ;)Thanks for the review.***oooooh hawaiii!!!!!!!! i lived on kauai for 5 years of my life and reallly reallly want to go back every second of it.
Tan is Love
Cinnamon also speeds up your circulation which in turn will heal your skin faster! This looks great, I am a HUGE cinnamon and clay mask fan :)
i received this product for the lovely meg today! :)I recently just started breaking out, probably from overwhelming textbook readings.. god knows. so i cannot wait to try this one out tonight :) yay! thanks for the great review :)!!
Lily =o)http://lazyscorner.blogspot.com/
This sounds great. I love the idea of only leaving it on for a minute. I've bought a few masks which I never finish, because I can't find a day that I can walk around with a mask on for 20mins.
My man is obessed with Lemonade and Cinamon...so everytime I smell somthing who smells like Cinamon...I have to buy it for him...(maybe I am buying it for myself but feel guilty of buying so much stuff that I prefer tell it's for him lol...I don't know)...so again I read Cinamon I was thinking oh James will love it...and I had ni idea Cinamon was a purifier itself neither =) and 13 dollars is a very correct price.

"the kind where you can't pop it because you'll collapse your wind pipe and you can't effectively treat it because its now been granted its own zip code", OH LOL LOL!! I love clay masks and I love cinnamon!
Oh my gosh this must smell absolutely divine!!! Perfect morning cleanser to go with my vanilla chai tea...mmmmmmm! ♥
"Never take someone for granted. Hold every person close to your heart because you might wake up one day and realize that you've lost a diamond while you were too busy collecting stones..."
You sold me with 'cinnamon' :)
I just ran out of my cleanser by Clean & Clear which I loved and I need a new one. Ive used the same product for months so I kind of want to try a new one, so I might consider buying this one :)
LOL the part about the deep neck pimple was so funny! I'm not a big fan of cinnamon. does it burn at all?
No burn at all!
Love, hugs and shoes...Angie
i love trying new face things!! i just dont think i can stick with it for 6 months to see results.. or is that a myth
hmm I didn't know cinnamon was good for the skin. Kaolin is not my favourite clay either but it is better then most other cleanser ingredients. I'm looking at the Honey Buff cleanser....I think I just might have to order it.
This looks like it could be of real use to my oil slick of a face! I like the idea of using cinnamon in a cleanser, and I already know I adore Kaolin clay - that stuff is amaaazing.I may have to hunt this one down. Here's hoping we can get our Australian mitts on it! : ]
i don't like the odor of cinnamon !!!
Girl you are funny!! Cinnamon! Who knew?! I sure didn't... I know that clay is great, I love using it when I break out, but cinnamon just makes me think of the gross Big Red gum my dad chews!Hehehe... still laughing from your post :)
This cleanser sounds wonderful and perfect for the chilly months ahead! Maybe I'll give this a try; I am always on the lookout for new skincare products to take care of my acne/ridiculously oily skin! I have tried EVERYTHING and still have not found my miracle product.
Oh Hawaii I can only imagine what the humidity would do to my hair(something like a yeti crossed with the monica in friends scary hair episode).Id love this love eep down wash off cleansers I just dont trust cleansing milks .There wasa segment on a morning show today about how if you sprinke cinnamon on your porridge it balances blood sugar and stops sugar cravings.
PotionPrincess♥
I lurve the smell of cinnamon and I'm craving cinnamon rolls right now. I'd only tried clay masks before but didn't really like how it made my face really tight and dry, and the smell -- yikes!. But this cleansing clay sounds promising. now... how to get cinnamon rolls at 3am in the morning...
