AHHH, TO BE TOUCHED BY TOCCA...
MissRo here winding down my week burning one of my favorite candles, Cleopatra by Tocca, and having a glass of wine.
I was first introduced to this line when I used to travel as one of the National Makeup Artists for Molton Brown. One of the boutiques I used to visit was A Beautiful Life in New Hope, PA. First, if you've never been to New Hope and you want a little get-away from the hussle and bussle, you must check out this little town. Second, this is one of my all time favorite boutiques. With hot pink walls and carpet, leopard print furniture and accessories, this place is so much fun. And they carry some great brands such as L'Artisan Parfumeur and Dianne Brill/Lip Lingerie cosmetics.
The first time I smelled both the Cleopatra body lotion and candle, I thought I died and went to heaven. The fragrance smelled so delicious you wanted to eat the products. Every time I went to New Hope and A Beautiful Life I would stock up on my products.
Tocca is the Italian name for "touch" and the company actually started back in 1994 with a clothing line. Tocca Beauty was created in 1997 and has been a cult hit ever since. Tocca Beauty's line includes Delicate Fabric Wash, Candles, Fragrance, and Bath Gels and Body Lotions. Their packaging is beautiful and simple and the names of their products are too, such as Florence and Stella.
Their Candele Da Viaggio is a great gift or a great way to check out some of their most popular candles. This precious, boxed set of assorted travel size candles comes in four of Tocca's most popular scents: Cleopatra, Grace, Havana and Kyoto. This luxurious set is a perfect gift or a fun indulgence. Each set includes four 1.2oz votives and a signature Tocca matchbox.
Or try their Cleopatra Bagno Da Viaggio, Bath and Body gift set. Housed in a cream colored set up box inspired by the old Italian candy boxes, Tocca's luxurious Gift Set will indulge you with a travel-sized shower gel, body lotion and candelina in the grapefruit-cucumber scent of Cleopatra. Includes 4 oz. shower gel, 4 oz. body lotion, 2.85 oz. travel candle.

I adore a lovely scented candle - it can really give the living space of your home a lift. I have to be careful what kinds of scents I use as my partner and I have allergies [worst luck!].I generally love warm scents like orange, cinnamon and musks. : ]
I love those kinds of scents too - especially around the holidays. What I like to do sometimes is do a simmering potpourri. The scent fills the whole house. Well, I guess it depends on the size of the house, lol. Anyway, you can either do this on the stove or in a crock pot (so you don't have to watch the stove). Anyway, take a good sized pot or sauce pan and fill it about 3/4 full of water and bring it to a boil. Add your ingredients, let them boil for a few minutes and then take them down to a simmer and let them do it all day (naturally turn off the heat when you leave the house). Just make sure to watch the water level, you don't want a dry pot. I personally love orange peel, lemon peel, cinnamon sticks and cloves. It smells divine. But you can do it with any combination: dried fruits, citrus rinds, cloves, cinnamon, bay leaves, apple juice (some juices that may be a bit past their drinking prime), anise, nutmeg, vanilla allspice... use your imagination! Or take the easy way out and google simmering pot recipes. :)
My first candle love still belongs to Yankee Candle Co....I love all of their scents. I have probably 20 half burned candles for the different seasons. They last so long and keeps the scent year over year. My favorite scents are Patchouli, Sandalwood, Storm Watch, Country Linen...I also love scents like almond, cranberry, and spice during the holidays. The only place I've seen Tocca in my area has been Sephora. They sound divine!
My first candle love still belongs to Yankee Candle Co....Me too! I especially love their autumn scents, like pumpkin.
i miss keeping candles and their scents. wasnt allowed in the dorms or my apartment building and im just never home enough to really enjoy them now.

i've never been much of a candle person, i'm quite sensitive to scented things/perfume, i just have a bad reaction to some of them if they are too strong and get drowsy.but i like burning normal candles lol it's fun :)

I love scented candles, and also wax melts, they freshen up the house beautifully. I love a range of scents, but generally opt for fruity ones, like melon, or berries or mint for summer, and more sugary ones for winter, like vanilla, chocolate, caramel ...
I always fall in love with these kind of boutiques MissRo, and with the quaintness of the place like you describe, it would be hard to get me out of there. I live to far away... in Canada, So I will have to stick to checking out their products at Sephora. I too love the Yankee candle company. I find the little ones make greats gifts along with a card. I just bought one last week called Maple cake, and love it!Artcandy

I love fall scented candles this time of year as I cannot stop burning my pumpkin cheesecake jar candles They make great gifts too. They just came out with a Harvest Time scent that will certainly change the season in your place.

I am such a Yankee Candle fan...they will always be my go to company for a yummy scented candle. (right now, my favorite is their berry and cedar candle...it's a christmas time candle but that doesn't stop me from lighting it in the summer).I will have to find Tocca in a store (Sephora?) because I like to smell the candles first).

i loves candles especially the holiday scented ones. like pumpkin, christmas tree, baked cookies, etc. i love love love it!!! the house feels so much more homey and comforting.
I love candles!!! I remember when I was growing up my dad did not allow them in the house because he didn't want us kids to "burn the house down" so now I'm not living with him I have many candles :)
I found these candels in some raaaaandom place in Williamsburg Brooklyn, and they smells like the most amazing spicey candels EVER. Theyre called PRIMESPICE and my fav smells is the Elephant Ginger. I also like Comme Des Garcons candels. Theyre more of a MAN smell, but I really like it regardless.
Last year around Christmas, I received a mis-sent Sephora package containing the 4-pack of candles/matchbook (and a Guerlain perfume that smelled like hand sanitizer)I brought the package back and they wouldn't let me return it, saying I should be happy with it and blah blah blah :)These candles are DIVINE! They look so sophisticated with their paleness and glass cups and logo :) They smell like expensive spas in faraway countries and allow me to completely relax. One small candle is strong enough to make the whole house smell great!
OOOhhh... I love scented candles! I will try... Ahhh
I love scented candles! Yankee's are my favs, but I'm willing to get any candle company a try!
I have actually orered from "A Beautiful Life" online but have never been to the shop and would love to,it's a GREAT area! I love the Tocca candles too as well as the exquaite ones by Votivo,Seda, and Red Flower. :)I have a "thang'" for candles.
Haha well I adore these Glade "candles". They really are awesome & we never use our real candles anyways.
I love candles but we actually don't use them very often. Mostly we get a fall Scented Yankee candle and have it going during Halloween/Thanksgiving.I don't put many products in the bath, because we have an air jet tub at home and I am not sure if you can have bubbly kinds of things in there. Although after reading the post about the etsy store with bath bombs I may need to try those...
I love candles- just lighting one and having the flickering light and the sweet aroma just instantly puts me in a relaxing mood. I'm limited to Yankee Candle Co., but would like to get into some more soy brands, since they are better for the environment. My candle tastes are simple and limited to anything that smells like something sweet, cookies, cupcakes, chocolate, anything! LoL
i love candles and burn them year round, alternating with fragrance oils. But i do find it hard to pay a high price for such a small size candle... I usually stick to my 10 oz BBW candles - favorites are Pineappple Mango and Strawberry- they scent my living room withing minutes!
mmmmm I love scented candels!I have so many... but usually I dont want to burn them.... because then they'll be gone!I love the wedgewood candles that sound like burning wood. They smell really good! and I love the jar candles from bath and body works. So many colors and scents to match any room!i will have to keep my eyes out for this one. I am curious to the scent now!
Tan is Love
Yankee Candles are gorgeous. I love evening air, it smells amazing. I hate the seasonal ones thou, especially the cinnamon candle. They used to be limited it qvc a few years ago but you can buy them anywhere now. The are sooo expensive but last forever.
Wow, I am so surprised that you all love yankee so much. I am not fond of them at all. They are too dry for my liking.I love slatkin candles and for for every home/for every body candles. I like a candle with a lot of oil in it (strong scented)...you can usually tell if it is a highly scented candle by running your finger over the top of the candle--if you feel an oil slick there is a lot of oil in it. Yankees tend to be very dry.My favorite is a bath and body works candle that smells like strawberries and a pocono mountain candle that smells like oranges--yummy!!!!
My favorite thing to do is make "cocktail" scents, I burn 4 or 5 different scents at a time, but they all blend together to make a theme. Like right now, it is rainy and gloomy outside, so I feel nostalgic for the beach, so I am burning "shore breeze", "beach party", "strawberry fields" and then I am burning fragrance oil in "pomegranite martini".
I love candles!!!!
OMG...I forgot about the "Slatkin" candles...the fig one is AMAZING!!!I don't like Yankee Candles...ducks the flying lipsticks being hurled at her. They all smell like plastic to me?The "best" candle I ever had was one of those by Elton John for his AIDS foundation? Can't remember the name of it but it smells like being by a fire and scented the whole house in like 5 minutes!
I grew up not too far from New Hope, Pa and love A beautiful life. These candles all smell great and they set a wonderfully romantic mood. I burn them all the time.
I *really* got into B&BW's Brown Sugar and Fig scent for a while. It's so warm and delicious!
I love candles, they relax me ESP if they have a light but gorgeous smell about them... *off to light a candl*
I haven't tried Tocca yet but this review makes me want to. I love scented candles. I think my favorite is Votivo's Red Currant - but also many of the fall-scented candles too, especially pumpkin ones. There's just something so relaxing (and romantic) about the light fragrance of a candle, the flickering light... The good thing about soy candles is that when they burn, they don't make dark smoky film on your walls and ceiling. But I can't really restrain myself to JUST the soy ones.

I love Tocca candles and can't get enough of them!!!
Make up your beauty-full mind...www.myspace.com/blackdivaworld
I have always loved candles...and I have t say I enjoy alot of different types of scents - sugary, floral, earthy, clean...to me they're all fabulous! Just depends on my mood. So I guess I haven't met a candle that I didn't like ;)I usually buy Yankee Candle, Bath and Body Works, Slatkin, Henri Bendel...and now I am excited to try Tocca! They sound absolutely divine. I wish I could make it up to A Beautiful Life and check out the boutique, but I might not come home!!! ♥
"Never take someone for granted. Hold every person close to your heart because you might wake up one day and realize that you've lost a diamond while you were too busy collecting stones..."
I love Chagrin Valley soap bars and Aveeno body lotion mixed with Jojoba oil (not glamorous by any means but my skin is allergic to most scented and unnatural products) and this all makes my skin so smooth and soft! Oh and for candles I love anything apple, pumpkin, cinnamon, vanilla or cookie flavored. I can't handle too strong of scents though or I get a headache, dang nose if like a hound dog nose. lol
ooh candles by the bath! lovely. I like them beside my bed too, get it a little romantic ooh lalala.! I just finished some nice bath milk stuff that i loved! shame i cant remember the name and i chucked the container out, doh
makeup makeup makeup!!!!!!!
this looks so classy and refined!
Ahh more candles, who can resist and who can even begin to light this lovely thing, it's way too nice to be lit and used, perfect for as an ornament.
Tocca sounds awesomely tempting. I'm such a luxurious, smell-good-stuff addict.
I like apple candles!
im still a big yankee candle company fan. I tend to like clean scents, like fresh laundry =) they make my hiubby think i spent alllll day cleaning house when really, i waited till 15 mins before hand and threw everything in the closet =)
